Pizza was great! Crust could of been just a tad bit more crispy but my family and I loved it! Ingredients were fresh and lots of toppings!

Nothing like warm pizza with great crust. Not greasy and love the vegetarian option. Yummy! Nice people work here too. 2 pizzas and a drink for less than $10. Soooo worth it!

If you eat at Pudgie's too much, you get Pudgy. Simple concept really, but I guess the people in these parts really, really love their pizza. What to get: Slice What else: Starlight is so cute This popular bright-orange pizza spot (not to be confused with THE Pizza Spot downtown which is the best Pizza place in the 585) is on a major intersection in a low-income area. You'd think that, considering the fact that it is in an under-privileged area, it would have competitive prices. It does not. It was almost *six dollars* for my slice of f***ing pizza. Granted, I got a specialty slice with a crust on the top and the bottom of it (more like a pie). But this thing wasn't insanely enormous, it also wasn't very hot and it wasn't very moist. In fact it was a little congealed, the cheese and such, and didn't have generous portions of meat and sauce and cheese and toppings inside, either. It was mainly just bread, and it was a little over-done in places despite not being hot. Now, I'll give you this: it did taste pretty good. But it wasn't amazing, nor was it generous with toppings, nor was it hot nor well prepared, and worst of all, it cost literally twice what I think it should have cost. On the other hand, the selection here is good, the decor is shiny and eye-catching, the location is great, and the girl who served me was absolutely lovely to me. I thought we were going to exchange phone numbers or something. Then she realized I was with someone (my kitten Starlight) and that was the end of that. But yes - super cute. If it smelled of garlic in here it'd be Pungent Pizza. If it was a boat-rental agency for rowing down the stream it'd be Punting Pizza. And if you got free kisses with your slice, it'd be Pucker Pizza. Actually I think I almost did get a free kiss. But at nearly $6 for an underheated slice that had been sitting out forever, I don't think I'll be going back to have a second bite at the proverbial cherry. Or pizza slice, in this case.

I haven't been here in like 7 years or so since I moved out of state. Yesterday I needed a break and went for a drive. (Oh I'm in Rochester temporarily! I should mention that....although it would have been worth the 30+ hr drive! Well, that's a bit extreme maybe...). This was on my list of restaurants I should visit while I'm here. Dang it, I forgot how good it was. I ordered two slices of pepperoni and I forgot they had breadsticks too, so I was forced to buy two of those, if you look at them you'll understand how I was forced...some strange universe phenomenon. The counter person said if I buy three I get free sauce, geesh now I have to buy three??? Well, okay. The crust on the pizza is the best around. It's like soft and buttery and tastes mildly of beer (yeast) and it's not overdone and doesn't have cornmeal (which I hate the texture of which so many pizza places use on the bottom of their crusts!) it's a good sized slice. The breadsticks...if you look at my photos of them...well I can't be responsible for what happens to you. All I can tell you is I'm awake at 4am thinking about them. They don't allow dine in. They are really good at social distancing and they only six people at a time in the lobby part. I got there about I think 1:30 and it was not overly crowded but definitely was doing good business. I was so full after eating the three breadsticks and the first slice of pizza but it was so good I powered through and ate the second slice.

Does it work? Go to Pudgie's and find out.

I was in Rochester for work and stumbled across Pudgie's. The name caught my eye and I crossed my fingers that they took credit cards. Thank you Yelp for the confirmation! I was kindly greeted by a nice lady and ordered my small meatball sub ($4.39). 4 generous meatballs covered in mozza on a toasty roll. Just do it. There was a lot going on...on the menu (pizza, hot & cold sandwiches, fried chicken, ice cream, etc). Not only was the service quick and friendly but the decor was spot on. I took a pic so check out the album! This place has history and flare. I'd go back.

I used to go to Pudgies every week after my son's baseball games-Pudgies was a sponser of the team. I had a hankering for pizza and thought I would give it a try for old times sake. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly, greeting me when I walked in. They showed the pizza to me before I paid and asked if everything looked ok. It was yummy like I had remember and the large had about 12 large slices. Overall I was pleased and will go back again. I should have tried the pumpkin spice latte ice cream as it sounded Devine! Maybe my next trip!

    2 slice and drink combo

Lowered my rating because food quality was lowered. Slices usually good. They looked dried out. Asked if newer one coming up. They brought up another that looked better but was dried out as well.

    AMAZING WINGS! and Huge!

We did not enjoy the pizza or rest of our meal. It took a very long time to get our food. Just sadly not a pleasurable experience

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

It's a true grab-and-go setup -- no real seating beyond a small high-top, and most people seemed to be taking their food to-go. The vibe is relaxed and unfussy. Service stood out. The man taking orders was very friendly and accommodating, and he let us know fresh pies were about to come out so we could wait for hot slices -- which we appreciated. I ordered the Rosa with pepperoni (they also offer it without) and the Buffalina. Both were very good, especially fresh out of the oven. Nice bonus: buy two slices and you get a free can of soda. Simple, solid pizza and great service. I'd definitely come back.

Louis was very helpful, explaining the menu and specials since it was my first visit. I decided to try the Detroit-style white top with Mike's honey drizzle and a pineapple Jarritos. While waiting, I sat on a few chairs outside in front of the garage. It took about 15 minutes, and my pizza was piping hot. My ricotta melted due to the steam, but it was still very good! The portion was generous, I could only finish one slice and took the rest to go. It's not a sit-down restaurant, it's perfect to take to-go; however, there is a table that you could stand and eat at, if you needed to. The decor was also nice and bright, with a unique twist with decor. Louis also mentioned they source most ingredients locally, which is noticeable in the freshness of every bite. He was kind enough to offer me a New York-style cheese slice, which was also delicious! While a little pricey, the quality justifies the price. I can't wait to return! If you're in the area, definitely check them out!
