You can't beat $10.99 for a large pie, and $1.99 per topping on Tuesday Nights. Their Pizza was great. I highly recommend!

Well I decided to venture out of my house to get takeout food during the pandemic. The wife wanted wings so we checked a few places and it seemed like they either didn't answer their phone or told you to order online from a far away location. So my wife mentioned Trotto's- I had never been there before. We ordered 30 wings and I wanted a slice of pizza- they only sold "full" pizzas so I ordered the smallest- a 4 slice pepperoni pizza. The wings were very good- my wife wanted them medium and I think they were more like mild- but I asked for a hot sauce on the side so we used that to spice them up a bit. I ate the one slice of pizza- it was fine- your standard Rochester style bready pizza. I liked it. They don't really do the whole "touch less" pick up - you go in the store to pick it up but I wore my mask. Another customer got there 20 seconds before me and was inside so I just waited outside until he left and then I went in. They did ask me to sign my previously called in credit card slip with their pen - I probably should have had them just scribble my signature because that's all I did! (I hit the hand sanitizer in my car after that). Overall- it was a very good meal and our first outside food in a month. I'll keep this place in mind for the future.

Decided to give this place a try on a whim. Reviews sounded good. First negative - I call in the order, and they don't have the absolute BEST topping of all time - cup and char pepperonis. Whatever. Second negative - I walk in to pick up my order - and the prices in person are more than what I saw on the website. Whatever. Inside, the place is tiny. There is no eating in, take out only. There were only maybe 3 or 4 chairs, and there was 6-7 people waiting, so I took this as a good sign. Get my medium half pepperoni half sausage and I'm out. Positive here - the medium is the size of what many places offer as a large, but with the higher in-person price, pricing is about on par with other places large pies. The food? Crust was thicker than most places, skimpy on the cheese, barely any sauce. So, it was like eating barely topped dough; not much here in the flavor department. They did use crumbled sausage, which I'm a fan of, but the toppings weren't adding much taste-wise to their pizza. Staff was super friendly. Overall, with all of the competition in the area, I won't likely be back.

    Greasy wings...I think it's a wing???

Excellent pizza at an affordable price. The sauce is tasty and never gives you heartburn. Chicken wings are always very meaty.

Highly recommend the sheet pizza - medium crust cooked all the way through, just enough sauce and fresh veggies on top.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

It's a true grab-and-go setup -- no real seating beyond a small high-top, and most people seemed to be taking their food to-go. The vibe is relaxed and unfussy. Service stood out. The man taking orders was very friendly and accommodating, and he let us know fresh pies were about to come out so we could wait for hot slices -- which we appreciated. I ordered the Rosa with pepperoni (they also offer it without) and the Buffalina. Both were very good, especially fresh out of the oven. Nice bonus: buy two slices and you get a free can of soda. Simple, solid pizza and great service. I'd definitely come back.

Louis was very helpful, explaining the menu and specials since it was my first visit. I decided to try the Detroit-style white top with Mike's honey drizzle and a pineapple Jarritos. While waiting, I sat on a few chairs outside in front of the garage. It took about 15 minutes, and my pizza was piping hot. My ricotta melted due to the steam, but it was still very good! The portion was generous, I could only finish one slice and took the rest to go. It's not a sit-down restaurant, it's perfect to take to-go; however, there is a table that you could stand and eat at, if you needed to. The decor was also nice and bright, with a unique twist with decor. Louis also mentioned they source most ingredients locally, which is noticeable in the freshness of every bite. He was kind enough to offer me a New York-style cheese slice, which was also delicious! While a little pricey, the quality justifies the price. I can't wait to return! If you're in the area, definitely check them out!
