Pine bush has its fair share of pizza restaurants. However, Pudgys also has a menu serving everyone's taste buds-a little something for everyone. I do have to say my favorite thing about this place is, Consistency!!! I am a Long Islander surrounded by great pizzerias all over. This place easily top many pizzerias. We had a basic plain pie, garlic knots, and wings. All great tasting. We sat outside to eat and the staff was extremely nice bringing out the food with cutlery and plates. She also checked up on us if everything was good. Price is also great. I've been slowly trying all the pizza places in town and this one is my favorite . Coming from Long Island I'm extremely picky about Pizza and the other places in town left something to be desired . Pudgys has the best pizza in town out of all the places . I would definitely go there again . Food was ready quickly and staff were friendly . Good pizza ! I can be picky with my pizza and toppings normally I'm not a big meat person except pepperoni but love cheese light sauce and veggies. Pudgys was the perfect balance of everything I liked ! I got the pudgys special which was super good and filling lots of toppings on it (even meat) and I liked it! Best pizza you can get locally. I don't live in Pine Bush, and I will gladly take the 23 minutes to drive to Pudgy's for quality food. I'm a Bronx girl, and outside of NYC it's very hard to find good pizza. Pudgy's was a welcomed surprise for me and the family. Pizza is always made fresh, with quality ingredients. I used to live in this town and have been to every pizza place they have had. I asked my friends where to go for some pizza and they said Pudgy's since it was my yearly visit to NY from AZ. I ate it about 3-4 times that I was there, it was okay but nothing special, every time we got a pie it was just so-so and even my friends said so too who eat there regularly. I was going to eat in the first time I went but it was so hot in the place because its small and crammed, it was literally cooler outside, they do have 2 small tables out front to eat which is nice. I think if they made the pizza that my friends said they used to and got better ac in the place it might go up a notch or 2 on the star scale. I will have to pass on Pudgy's next time I come to town and give one of the other pizza places in the small town of Pine Bush my money. read more

The food we got here was pretty good. My wife loved the spaghetti she ordered. I got the chicken wings since they were on special Wednesday. I would suggest getting something to-go since there isn't much of any eating area. read more

We called Christmas Eve, ten minutes before closing time and they allowed us to place an order for pickup! We really appreciated that the person taking our order was friendly enough and didn't discourage us from placing an order even though it was a holiday and so close to closing time. We were staying in a hotel nearby. And, originally, based on Pudgy's previous reviews, we decided to go with another local pizza place. But they were closed. So we decided to 'risk'it. Pleasantly surprised! We ordered two medium pizzas (they were actually quite large) and 3 orders of wings.. .one honey mustard (not very mustardy, more of a sweet sauce), one parmesan (crispy and delicious) and one spicy hot wings (spicy, not too gooey, and also delicious!). Each order of wings came with a side of ranch as well. The pizzas had generous toppings. They use canned mushrooms (info for anyone that doesn't care for that), but everything else is fresh. The veggie pizza even had thin slices of breaded and pre-baked eggplant! Supreme pizza was generous with meats as well. ONLY downside to pizzas was they both had VERY LITTLE tomato sauce. Plenty of cheese, but very skimpy on sauce. We were a family of 5 eating together and we all agreed on that point. My husband was the one that picked the pizzas up. They were ready when he arrived. He said the person behind the counter was pleasant enough, so no problems there either. If you're in the area, give this place a try! read more

Food portions are huge, had we known that we could have split the order between 2 people. Chicken Parm Hero was a bit bland, husband didn't left the 2nd half untouched. My fish sandwich was very good and the friends we had who ordered the wings all 48 of them devoured all. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will be back. read more

I came in for a meal. The place was so small that the two girls behind the counter did not know who was needing help next. The menus are tucked away so you cannot see what they have. Trying not to take to much time I decided on an Italian Sub. Drinks are around the corner of the counter in a cooler, which is not bad, except when there is seven people standing there waiting to order or for an order. The meal was not spectacular or anything different than you get from the local gas station. Service brought my food out, but gave me no napkins or anything else. So I take it is a self serve and figure it out type place. They must get a ton of people for the lack of service or dedication to the presentation. I was not impressed with the cleanliness. This town is so stuffed with pizza places that they have an additional claim. Pudgy's is Italian, American-- not sure what kind of food that is since we all come from a different country, and Mexican. Very confusing and you can tell in their lack of a specialty. read more

Food is good but service is great! We had a large confusing lunch order and the cashier was so patient and kind and once we paid we remembered we had a coupon. Instead of saying it was too late or blaming the customer the manager came was more than gracious and gave us the discount with a little extra! Soooo nice! I ordered a large pizza with black olives and pepperoni. It was a great tasting pizza! Being from California and not being to the east coast in over 8 years the pizza truly delivered! My last few trips to Pudgy's have been far from stellar.... First time I was there I placed an order via phone, was told 45mins and showed up at that time. I then waited '5 mins' multiple times, to receive our order. I finally had lost my patience when I witnessed a person picking up their order that I had heard the waitress take the same order on the phone when we arrived. My latest trip included ordering dinner specials and a sandwich, which this time we did not have to wait, but was disappointed when I returned home to find some of the order missing. When called to confirm the missing food, they stated that yes, they still had it. We returned there the next day to get the money back for the missing food and there was no accommodation on trying to resolve what is an ever present issues. The food may be acceptable, noting stellar, just like the take out service. Recommendation to current owner and management, take some time to review how takeout orders should be processed. Recommendations to anyone whom decides to order take out, confirm you have everything that you ordered as well as keeping an eye to make sure that when its ready that your order just does not sit there waiting as you wait. read more

We've eaten here quite a bit. It's not bad, but it's not spectacular. The pizza is plain and not enough sauce for my tastes. It could also use a little more cheese. The garlic knots aren't bad, but could use a little more flavor in the dough itself. They do have some good wings. Their prices are good. Pudgy's is a regular stop for us. I think between quick little lunches and take-out, someone from the family comes here at least twice a week. For the quality and the price, you really can't beat it, especially when it comes to the specials. We came here for lunch one day and two of us had a large bowl of good pasta fagioli soup, a sandwich, two slices of pizza and a drink for a whopping $8. Seriously, McDonald's is more expensive. Not to mention, the website also has great coupons and as a veteran, my dad always gets a discount. Even past the value, the food is tasty, the portions are sizeable and the service is friendly. Pudgy's has great food and service. There Pizza and wings are great, but what is really good is there Mexican food. There Guacamole Appetizer is exceptional. There tortilla chips are home made, as wel as there sauce. Also try there green sauce it is very good as well. My favorite entree there is the tostada's with melted mozzarella, but my friends really likes there enchiladas. The Beef is better then the chicken in the mexican food. Enjoy your dinner! read more
