Heads up before anything, super limited parking! I went on a Thursday morning luckily I waited a tad bit for a good spot. As we walked in, greeted right away and sat down. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. We had their chips and salsa to begin with. For entrees, I went for a Enmoladas with a fresh agua de limón (very refreshing). As for my sister she had their Chilaquiles rojos with carne asada. My enmoladas were delicious and the rice was made just how I like it. Trying the chilaquiles it was good, but the carne had great flavor. The restaurant was very cute and clean from I can tell. I heard their menudo is top seller and to be there super early because lines form. Can't wait to return!

I had 2 different friends recommend Puebla's Mexican Kitchen in the Heights so I had to try it for myself. We went on a Sunday morning and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up being much shorter. The ambiance and decor were very casual and colorful. I LOVED the colorful plates! The staff was warm and friendly even though the food itself took a bit longer to arrive than expected. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the barbacoa taco in particular was my favorite. Every bite was mouth-watering. The tostada and crispy taco were also delicious. If there was one miss, it was the chips and sauces. The chips were way too hard, and the salsas were just okay. But aside from that, everything else we tried was excellent.

Love, love, love, love, loooooove Puebla's. Breakfast or lunch this is my spot for good fresh food. It's small and loud if you sit inside because it's really a small restaurant filled with charm. If you can get a seat on the small patio, it's a lovely way to spend brunch, breakfast or lunch. Service is friendly and attentive. This place fills up fast because the food and the prices can't be beat. Small menu that is intentional because you can't go wrong with whatever you order. My go to spot. The have parking also.

This is our favorite go-to breakfast spot, but we've learned there's usually a wait if you don't go right at opening on Saturdays. They have my favorite handmade corn tortillas, which are thicker than other places. I usually get the huevos con machacado à la Mexicana with nopales and a cafe de olla (thankfully not pre-sweetened). My husband usually gets the migas, and we share a (very large) tamarindo aguas frescas. Everyone is always friendly, and the place is so cute. They have high chairs if you have a little one.

Food was so bomb. I had the cafe de olla and the enchiladas en salsa verde. Pretty crowded but the service is still fast. I like that they had parking in front of the establishment.

OMG horchata the size of my head! (Pretty sure this is the "Mexican drink" on the menu bc I didn't see the word horchata.) Chilaquiles were excellent and the refried beans it comes with are minimal - heads up bc the beans are GOOD. Chips and salsa were great. Chips look homemade. Very cute little spot!

I drive by this place all the time and finally got a chance to stop in last week with some friends for breakfast. The inside is well decorated and has a lot of seating available. Parking lot is small - so you may have to park on a side street depending how busy it is. The service was great and the staff was super friendly. I got the Huevos con Chorizo and Mexican Hot Chocolate. The Huevos con Chorizo were really good with the flour tortillas and were actually pretty filling. The hot chocolate was a perfect drink for a cold day. Overall, the value of the food was great for what we received. I will definitely be back!

Always a good spot! Looks like a few updates were done. More seating was added and different decor. They kept same awesome customer service and lovely flavors. As you walk in you are greeted and offer a seat. Cafe de olla or cafe with canela is my fave. Makes you feel at home. All the food is delicious! This time I went with chilaquiles and they did not disappoint.

Consistently good and friendly service. I opted for the divorced chilaquiles, sauces on the side and an asado se puerco taco. Can't wait til my next visit.

Puebla's Mexican Kitchen is my go-to spot for breakfast tacos in the Heights. Their potato, egg, and bean taco on a flour tortilla is always fresh, flavorful, and a great value at $3. The red and green salsas add the perfect kick, and the tortillas have that homemade quality that sets them apart. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with both indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio. Parking can be limited--there are a few spots in the private lot out front, with additional spaces behind the restaurant and some street parking nearby. Consistently great food, friendly service, and solid breakfast tacos make this one of the better spots in the area. Highly recommended!

First time trying this breakfast spot. I had the chilaquiles with the red salsa and it good just needed some salt. I had added the green salsa and that was GOOD and HOT. The service was good and fast. I would come back and try the mole enchiladas for lunch time:

Construction…read morein the area is heavy, and quite a bit of traffic, parking was packed, yet we did find a spot close to the door. Service has changed since last I have been here many years ago. In the past they would bring out a bread basket, as a free appetizer like how some mexican restaurants bring out chips and salsa, however, they dont seem to do that here anymore. Service at the table was mediocre, our waitress took our drink order and on the way over, the waitress was spilling the drinks over the floor on the way to our table. After our waitress took our order, my gf did not get the mayo on the side as she had asked, and after we received our food, our waitress never came around to check on us, didn't refill our drinks or anything. The place was very loud, louder than visiting waffle house. I was trying to have a conversation with my gf sitting just across the table from one another, and we were having to literally yell at one another just to hear what each other were saying. My gf did state that the sandwich she ordered was a big sandwich, and was more than she could finish. Once we were ready to go, our waitress still hadn't been around to check on us. So I had to flag down someone else, to get us some to go boxes, and our check. Low and behold, when I was ready to checkout, the waitress appears out of nowhere, after all this time, I'm guessing because she thought she was going to get a good tip. I'm sorry, waitstaff only get a great tip from me, once and if they perform a great job duty, and this was not the case in this matter. Maybe, better luck next time, maybe Papas needs to hire better waitstaff worth hiring and keeping.

The gentleman that greeted us was so nice and made us feel so welcomed! Our server was also very nice, and super helpful as I asked for a wine suggestion and she hit the nail with her suggestion. She brought a small sample for me to try before serving it. The food itself was delicious! We got the onion rings appetizer, and you could tell they were made to order. They were super fresh and also crispy. The chicken parmigiana was good, and they were not stingy with their portions at all. The picture I took doesn't do the dish justice. I will definitely go back to this place, as their food, service and overall experience is a great one when you dine in.

We shared a bowl of the potato soup where we had no expectations and I thought it tasted pretty decent. But the real test was the entrees. Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
