Holy sticker shock. Ate there a year ago and made the trip again last week and what a change. $30 for shrimp fajitas that I counted like 8 shrimp. That's 2 shrimp for each tortilla. l asked for no beans, all rice and the rice serving was ridiculously small. Seriously? Rice is like one of the cheapest ingredients out there. I can't imagine what the rice serving would have looked like if I had also had beans. My buddy had their larger burrito at $23. He said it was enjoyable. Their complimentary chips and salsa (no free refills) have also been significantly downsized. We each had a corona. They also appear to have done away with those little cinnamon crisps with whip cream when they bring the check as we only received two mints. Making the long drive from Whitefish, Montana to Boise, Idaho on a road trip with my husband and our two dogs, we stopped at Pueblo Lindo for dinner. We placed our order to-go since we had our dogs with us, andand ate in the parking lot. Not the most glamorous, but you do what you have to do. My husband ordered a Carne Asada burrito and I decided to try their birria. My husband said the burrito was tasty and had plenty of Carne Asada inside. The birria was good, but unlike any I have ever tried before. It was a sort of make-your-own tacos approach with the stew meat in a sauce and the tortillas, onions, and cilantro on the side. It was tasty and will definitely hit the spot when you are hungry. Formerly a Holy Cow on Old State Street in Eagle, Pueblo Lindo has recently opening with a nice refresh of the exterior and interior and the same large menu at McCall and Meridian plus a lunch specific menu. Service for our large group was excellent, kept up with requests for drinks, more tortilla chips, salsa. We arrived at 11:15 and by noon the place was packed. Facility and service is a solid four stars, food is pretty much good, but nothing outstanding. Favorite is the chili verde pork. I've also ordered a sampler plate, a tamal ( good size, filling balance of masa and meat) a Chile Rellano (light on cheese) and shredded beef enchilada ( excellent beef, odd sweet dark red sauce) with the typical beans and rice. read more

Grabbed take out at Pueblo Linda during our last stay in McCall, Idaho. We ordered many different items for a large party and they were quick and efficient getting our orders ready for take out. The quality of the food seemed fine for McCall, but it didn't hit the spot for us for Mexican food. In particular we found their food exceedingly salty, especially the Mexican rice served with combination platters and burritos, and their salty refried beans. One dissappointing dish was an order of fajitas (we got both carne asada and chicken) which at some places can sometimes be a somewhat lighter crispy vegetable and grilled meat dish, but here was not. Instead cooked in a salty tomato sauce, the dish is extremely acidic, and the vegetables and meat are sauce-laden and overcooked. Mexican food is a staple for us, but our meal just didn't quite hit the spot. This is a-okay, middle of the road Mexican food. read more
