Pizza is ok not tons of flavor Service isn't great . We ordered a couple pizzas and a couple appetizers. The pizzas came out first about 10 min apart. Once we done eating the appetizers came out. We asked about them a couple of times and they acted irritated we wanted appetizers first. Decent quantity for what you pay for. read more

We went during the off season for McCall, mid April. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sweet potato tots and sauce were yummy. Garlic cheese bread was simple, made on focaccia bread. Pizza was tasty and toppings plentiful. We had the BBQ chicken and all enjoyed it. We appreciated that they had more open hours as many businesses this week were closed all week, part of the week or closed yearly. Milkshakes were good too! read more

Service is very slow (even before rush hour). Staff was pleasant but ordering is slow. ent to try the pizza but ordered a hamburger instead because pizza gets good reviews and wanted to try something other than that. Glad I did because I on't have to order that again, bun was stale and small, poorly presented, and the french fries were more like shoestring fries. If I could leave a half star I would! I live here in town and I'm not impressed. First, I tried to call my order in and had to drive down and wait. I told the guy the phone was off the hook and that i tried to call nine times, he responded saying he knew because they were getting busy. Then after waiting 25 minutes, I went inside and it still wasn't done. Waiting another 20 minutes. This will be my last pizza here. Ten years ago they were better, not the case now. I want to start off by saying I was very pleasantly surprised after reading the amount of mixed reviews. My husband and I are foodies and this was amazing! You walk into the cutest pizza parlor that screams Mccall. I want to give a special shoutout to Carly who greeted us and took our order she was so kind and helpful! And a round of applause for Warren for making such an amazing pizza and onion rings that were fried to perfection. The pizza was very crispy on the bottom and very flavorful. We rarely ever take anything to go but we couldnt help ourselves ! This was a perfect experience being from California you never know what to expect in a different state but this was beyond what we were expecting. This was a top favorite in Idaho! Horrible service came in an 1 hour before closing for a Togo order. Asked for ranch and was told NO by the girl with green hair because "she just put it away"...good thing we didn't order the salad bar. For reference they still have another 40 mins til closing now. overall, a poor experience the staff didn't let us order half of the menu because they were "pizza items." I thought that growlers served pizza. We have been here several times over the years. Each time the young ladies that work there are not friendly and try to get you to go elsewhere IMO. You immediately walk in and they warn you pizza will be a 30 Min wait, which honestly is average I don't know why they try to push you away. The good- salad bar and onion rings are good. Pros: -Great location and cool spot created with an open atmosphere and plenty of seating both inside and out. -Beer selection is very good from micro brews and regular domestics. -Flavor of the pizza...we had the payette lake supreme which consisted of Pepperoni, canadian bacon, salami, mushrooms, black olives, red onions, green peppers, Italian sausage, beef and jalapeño bacon -Wings were cooked well and sauce had the right amount of kick. Cons: -Breadsticks absolutely horrible. Toasted, cold and a fully tasted like a loaf of bread served with ice cold marinara sauce. 1 nite of these and I was done. -Staff not super friendly at all. The lady taking our order never thanked us for coming in and seemed really aloof in helping customers. -Had to ask to get my beer after almost 10 mins. -Uncleanliness of workers refreshing the salad bar with no gloves or utensils. I was going to get one on the side but not after watching an employee grab items with their bare hands, then touch their hair and clean off tables all at the same time. -Wait time for a pizza shouldn't be 45+ mins. We really enjoy Growler's. Excellent burger and fries, and cold cold beer. It's very nice sitting on the patio, and they are dog friendly outside. We are not huge fans of their pizza, but there are lots of other menu items. read more

If half-a-star was an option, it would still be too much. Food was mediocre at best. Pizza was greasy and not cut. Pasta salad had no flavor. Sandwich had almost no meat. At least, they did as requested and withheld the mayo. The napkin holder on the table and salt and pepper shaker were disgustingly dirty. The table next to us sat with dishes on it for over an hour. Tried the BBQ chicken sandwich and my wife the Chicken Pesto sandwich. Both limited flavor and chicken thin and bland. Boys tried a pizza and found it good. Many flies inside the restaurant that was a gross distraction. Needs a cleaner environment as was dirty as well. Service was slow but friendly. We have visited Growlers for years on our annual trips to McCall. Growlers has gone down hill. And that's being nice. On our recent trip, all but 2 employees were dressed like slobs (unkempt hair, shorts, bellies hanging out, etc. It was sickening to look into the kitchen and an employee was rubbing his chest under his shirt while talking loudly with another worker. A different employee who was busy doing something else, jumped in to help make pizza without washing his hands. No gloves. Hair not kept back. We were overcharged for our meal. The salad in the salad bar was brown. The tables were unclean. Cobwebs. And the pizza was burnt and flat. Thoroughly disappointed. We won't be back. We won't recommend. Shameful. The floors, tables and chairs were dirty. Dried tomato sauce on the seats is quite unappealing. The ice machine was broken, so the workers put out a bucket to customers to scoop out ice. There was no scooper for said bucket and the ice that was in there had shreds of lettuce on it. The windows and doors had fingerprints all over them. The bathroom had no soap. I've been to this Growler's location several times now and I've always had a great experience. It's become one of my go to restaurants when I'm in McCall! My absolute favorite item on the menu is the Growler's Special. It's not your everyday hamburger. This thing is stuffed with TWO juicy beef patties covered in melted habanero jack cheese and special sauce, piled with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. There is nothing I love more than sinking my teeth into one of these babies after a long backpacking trip. Thank God for Growler's! Another menu favorite are the sweet potato tots. These little guys are delicious paired with the burger. I don't think there's a better combination than a bite of burger then popping in one of these tots. Especially when they're dipped in Growler's amazing special sauce. It's like fry sauce on crack, seriously. I wish they sold this stuff by the bottle. The service is a little lackluster. Last night, our server never bothered to ask us if we needed anything extra. She didn't even bring us any napkins. No "Enjoy!," no nothing. Just plopped the food on the table and left. A lot of the people working here are kids, and I really wish Growler's would invest some time into teaching them basic serving etiquette. I understand this is no high-end establishment, however that's no excuse for rudeness. I'm still leaving 5 stars because overall the food is too fantastic to lower the grade. But I'm not sure that will be enough to keep me coming. Maybe I'll do takeout next time. I still highly recommend visiting Growler's, and not such when Father's Place or Pancake House are full. Choose to spend an afternoon or evening here and you won't be disappointed if you order the right thing. Excellent Pizza!! First time in this little pizza place and found out they can make pizza taste awesome again!! We would definitely stop here again. You go in and order at the counter. The gal taking our order was not the friendliest type but that's ok. The service was great and above average. We enjoyed the ambiance. We had our Boston with us so we sat outside. The patio tables were a little wobbly and could fall over if someone sat on it. But it held our food just fine Overall, I recommend this place. Stopped in there for pizza and wings as we planned this as part of our camping trip shower and pizza and wings.. was told no wings during summer, which is weird because last summer this time we went there and had them- but whatever. Pizza was served and definitely over cooked as well as the bread sticks. BURNT‼ The young gal at the counter wasn't nice. Pictures speak for themselves. Maybe because we were clearly in a tourist town and just had showers and clearly not dressed up. I dont know. I went on fb and commented to the person running the page, got a response that meal would be comped next time or they will give me my money back. Not very impressed. Tried a pizza here a couple of months ago after a hike in the nearby Lick Creek range. After about 30 minutes, I got the pizza (custom with various meat and peppers). All I can say is 'blah'. It's not worth the over $30 I paid for it. I've had a better-tasting crust from Domino's. Hardly any sauce, and tasted dry. Nice staff and plenty of beers on tap, including McCall and Salmon River brews, but I preferred the sourdough crust at Crusty's, and the family-friendly feel of Reo's in Cascade, over Growler's. read more

Looks pretty upscale from the outside, and the same can be said for inside, but don't let that fool you: prices here are cheap, cheap, cheap for a tourism town! Twelve bucks for a huge, delicious chicken strip meal? Yes please! The staff here are great. It was fairly busy when we came in so I expected the service to be slower and more harried. Nope! The pizza is delicious! We had the Big Growler and everything about it was a perfect-lots of savory meat, sweet pineapple chunks, jalapeños, gooey cheese, and a crust baked to perfection. On the downside, it's essentially IMPOSSIBLE to call over there to order carryout on a Friday or Saturday evening. They don't answer the phone!
