Plate with pork, rice and plantains.

We came in here shortly after they opened on a Saturday. We took our food to go but they have about 8 or so tables. I had a coffee, it's not like a standard cup of coffee. It was more like a cappuccino and was very good. I had the Cuban, and my husband ordered a plate with pork, rice and sweet plantains. We also ordered a chicken empanadas and churro empanada. The Cuban was delicious, authentic, and very large. It can easily be two meals. The chicken empanada was great as well. My husband had nothing but good things to say about his plate and churro empanada. We will definitely be back.

    These amazing plantain chips!!!

So today I decided to try this authentic Puerto Rican eatery and for the 4th time, I have not been let down! This place is a diamond in the rough, you will not be disappointed at all or ever with this place. I ordered the Cuban sandwich this time and I was more than impressed. My sandwich came with Cuban bread, slice of ham, a good helping of shredded roast pork, Swiss cheese, slice of dill pickle, yellow mustard and I think some other dressing I just can't put my finger on it. And I remember when I called my order in, she asked if I wanted regular fries or plantain chips. GET THE PLANTAIN CHIPS!!!!! Not only was it a healthier option than the fries, but man were they so delicious! That sandwich had SOOOOO much flavor in every bite. The bread was toasted perfectly, the shredded pork was juicy in every bite, the mixture of the mustard and the dill pickle helped to make the sandwich pop even more. This being my fourth time eating there through the year, I can recall that every dish I ordered was full of flavor. When you call in place your order, just go ahead and ask "What's the best dish, what do you suggest?" If she slips up and just says only one dish, I just want you to know that she is being humble. Everything on this menu is good. Even my coworkers frequent this place, one of them who is Puerto Rican says "Everything on her menu is a good choice, no such thing as a bad meal." He isn't lying! She is very welcoming when you walk thru the door, you can smell the culture of almost 4,000 years enter your nose and to your soul when you take a bite of her food. She also has some authentic items for sale on a bookcase and also some sodas in the fridge by the counter as well. This place is most definitely a hidden diamond in Lexington Park, you hear me.....a diamond! Stop reading this and hurry up and order....go ahead!!! And as always, enjoy your bite!

Friday pork special, rice with pigeon peas and fried plantains.

The food is made fresh every time with great flavor. The service has always been pleasant and helpful to understand the menu options. My favorite is the chicken empanadas with their special sauce. Pictured is the Friday pork special with friend plantains. Yum!

I've been wanting to check out St. Inie's Coffee, which is a combo of a coffee shop/bookstore -…read more We stuck with their Fall Menu, and I tried their Iced Pumpkin Pie Chai - this was prepared with housemade pumpkin pie sauce, cold steeped chai, and a choice of milk - I liked how they served this in a cute glass mason jar. If you can't finish your drink, they have this cool contraption of a paper to-go cup that you can request! The seating area was dimly list and plenty of tables; the only off-putting thing was that it smelled like urine; not sure if they need to do a deep-clean of the carpet? Staff were friendly, and the place seems pretty popular with the locals. Loved their various decor and signages, as they were fun to check out! I don't remember what this space used to be but it was definitely not a cafe. This distinctively…read moreshaped building has been turned into a reading room, children's play area, and cafe, which the community could really use. Food options are basic, but they have made a choice to carry some packaged gluten-free goods and some milk alternatives, so most diets can be accommodated. I got an iced matcha, which was straightforward and not overly sweet. Getting a waffle seemed the freshest option, and it was a sugary, tasty waffle with a few topping options, of which I picked a drizzle of maple syrup. Neither item was very large, but the price was right. It's a distinctive atmosphere, and you can see that this place is trying to bring something new to the area. It's not the kind of stuff you'd get at a high-end urban cafe, but it worked for me on the day.

This was my first time visiting Bubbles Bzzz, and honestly the experience left me really…read moredisappointed. I had never been there before and didn't know how ordering worked. The first employee I interacted with was an Asian/Pacific Islander girl who was nice and let me sample a few things, but she didn't really explain the ordering process or how the menu worked. The menu setup itself is confusing because there are multiple flavors listed on the same line next to one price. For example, it listed something like mango, apple kiwi, passion fruit all together, so naturally I thought that was the drink combination I was ordering. I even pointed directly at it while ordering. At no point did anyone explain that you could only choose two flavors. After waiting, another employee -- a light-skinned white American girl with black hair who was on the heavier side and spoke fully English -- called out an apple kiwi slushy multiple times. I didn't grab it because I thought it belonged to someone else since that wasn't what I believed I ordered. Eventually she looked at me and said it was mine. I explained nicely that I had ordered something different and pointed to the menu item I selected. That's when she told me they only allow two flavors. I said I understood, but that nobody had explained that to me. I politely asked if it could be remade with mango and passion fruit instead. You could immediately tell she was annoyed, even though the store was not busy at all. While remaking the drink, she loudly told the other employee, "I don't have the patience for this," loud enough for both me and my mom to clearly hear. That was honestly the part that upset me the most. I was being respectful the entire time, simply trying to understand the menu and correct an honest misunderstanding as a first-time customer. The remake took maybe 4 minutes, and instead of handling it professionally, I was made to feel like a burden. I still said thank you when she handed me the drink, even after the comment, because I wanted her to know I heard what she said. After leaving, I called to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one there and they didn't know when one would be in. I understand mistakes happen, especially with confusing menus, but customer service and professionalism matter. First-time customers should feel welcomed, not embarrassed for asking questions or misunderstanding an unclear menu.
