Parking was tight because the parking lot was crowded with large trucks and SUVs. There was noticeably a steady stream of customers coming in as the restaurant nears its closing time. We were readily seated in a booth next to the window and greeted by a friendly and funny green haired Josh who, because we asked and was curious, gave us the story behind his green hair! Entertaining and someone who showed he truly enjoyed what he does! We ordered spicy Philly Cheesesteak, corned beef hash with two dippy sunny side ups, and pancake and bacon - all good. Josh was attentive - our coffee cup, soda, and water were refilled in a timely manner. There was also a dessert cart that came around peddling really yummy cupcakes, cheesecakes, and cookies. The price was good as well, especially with the coupon. Cute little place, wood floors and tables. Also a nice bar for morning type cocktails (Bloody Mary anyone?). We just hadn't had a meal worth mentioning until this visit. My wife and I took a drive down to Lexington Park and decided to stop into Cracker Barrel for dinner and to exchange a shirt she had purchased for me a few days earlier. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, but we were greeted quickly by a nice young man who took our drink orders right away. My wife ordered the Maple Bacon Chicken with mac and cheese, and I went with the Fried Chicken Sandwich and fries. Our server was attentive, kept our drinks filled, and was friendly to chat with -- it helped that things weren't overly busy at that moment, so he had some time to check in. Overall, the meal was good and the service made the experience even better. I'm sure we'll be back -- my wife enjoys browsing the store up front, which always has a unique mix of gifts, clothing, and seasonal items.

The egg, it was fried so hard that the yolk was solid. There was no drippage. The bacon, kind of chewy and the side of spicy maple honey, I didn't even touch that, it looked like it turned. Not even to mention that the burger patty itself was not seasoned. The fries, I had a mixture of differently cooked fries. There were some that were perfectly fried, there were some that were under, then there were some that were fried to a blackened state. The best thing about this meal was the sweet tea. They kept those coming while I kept being disappointed.

My omelette was full of cheddar and garnished with jalapeño bacon. Fantastic! The coffee is hearty and robust, a real eye-opener first thing in the morning. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.
