Do you like wild goose chases? Kids games like hide and seek? Is struggling to find a place to park before getting food sound like your idea of fun? Then you're in luck, this place is for you. Seriously, a couple members of our group were looking for some bagel sandos. Seemed like a good idea at time. Getting to this place was a chore by itself. GPS spits you out in an alley behind several hotels and businesses. From there you have to find this place within the complex. Mind you, I have no problem going out of my way to find really great food. What I found here was not that. Our condo was about 15minutes away, we got carry out. So, after struggling to find the place, and a lengthy wait for food, you can understand that we didn't inspect the package we were handed. We gave it a quick glance and moved on. So, with that in mind, we bear some responsibility for this next part. We returned to our condo to find we only got 4 of the 5 sandwiches we ordered, of those 2 were made incorrectly. Not cool. They were ok, but not near worth the effort it took to get them. A side (albiet petty) note. Each of the sandwiches came with a bag of chips. Usually in that situation, you're asked what you'd like. Not here, instead, they just tossed 4 random bags of chips and we got stuck with 2 bags of a flavor that no one likes. I know, I could have just asked to swap bags and fixed the situation but to me it was a sign of a bigger issue, I was left with the impression the staff didn't much care. Unless you are staying at one of the resorts that is within walking distance, there is no reason to visit this place. read more

The hotel/condos where PR bagel is located is either closed or undergoing renovations so it was very quiet walking through what maybe was once a more bustling dining area. Their sign says they are moving locations so the inside was pretty much packed up and minimal staff was working which was totally fine! With little foot traffic they were only offering bagels and smear or a corn beef and sweet plantain bagel sandwich. Very limited options but I thought it sounded interesting so I ordered the sandwich. It didn't have any sweet plantains on it:/ just corn beef, lettuce tomato and a Dijon mustard. Bummer, but the bagel was good so I'm sure their new location will have a better selection and more consistency. Best of luck at your new location! read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch and ate what ended up being the best bagel I'd ever had up to that point. It was just a simple bacon, egg and cheese bagel (with some shoestring fries on the side), but everything was so fresh and of such good quality that it made me wish we'd stuck around in Puerto Rico for longer. The staff was also really friendly. We will DEFINITELY stop here again if we ever make a return trip to San Juan in the future. read more

Good bagels, confusing menu, bad to horrible customer service. The young lady who was taking our order snapped at me, "would you make up your mind!" 1. Cream cheese goes on bagels A. Not cheddar cheese, menu is confusing B. When I order and say sesame bagel, egg, cream cheese, that doesn't mean I want cheddar instead of cream cheese. 2. I understand you all are super busy, but that doesn't mean you have the right to get frustrated with your customers A. For effective communication, Turn off the music in your restaurant, the speaker is right over register and we both had a hard time hearing each other. 3. Employees are stressed when it was busy and line was out the door. It passed quickly, but it was chaos, food arrived at different time and then drinks came after at different times. 4. Suggest you get an iPad for customers to put in orders and then the counter staff can work on drinks and serving food. 5. Smile at your customers, and don't tell them they are wrong. I wasn't the only one, other customers approached me and they felt the same. One customer asked for their drinks before the food and we're told, that's not how we do things. We got our pancakes only after finishing our bagels. FYI food was good, but service ruined our vacation breakfast. I hope not all Puerto Ricans are like this. read more

If you are a Bagel fan this is the place for you. I admit not being a big bagel fan, however this place changed my vision and taste toward this delicacy. Good bagels served warm. Easy walk from Caribe Hilton. Somewhat difficult to find. They are on the second level of an outdoor mall that seems to be surrounded by residential buildings. Not much else is open in the mall, but it is kept clean and contains an upscale Brazilian restaurant as well. read more

I've been getting food from Puerto Rico Bagel for a few years, and it's been a great experience nearly every time. I love their sandwiches, particularly their BLT; their bagels are always fresh as are the toppings. The portion sizes are pretty large for the price; I always get a good helping of potatoes with my sandwich. Service is really fast and always packed nicely. My one gripe is that I once got cheese on my sandwich despite specifically asking for no cheese (maybe a language barrier issue?). Otherwise, of the dozen or so times I've gotten food here, it's always been great. They have a nice indoor eating area and lots of drink options. They are also open every day (many of the restaurants in this plaza are closed 1-2 days per week). This is definitely a great place to eat, especially if you are staying at one of the nearby hotels and don't want to pay their exorbitant prices. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would do so. Our party of 11 was greeted nicely by the gentleman at the register. He took each of our orders without any assistance from his fellow employees, kindly & graciously. When he finished & the counter was free of other guests, I reapproached the counter to add to my order & speak to a friend about adding juices. This nasty employee that suddenly appeared, demanded that I sit down & that I would not be served unless I did so. I have no idea why she was so nasty & rude. Once I gave her a verbal disciplinary warning about intolerance, she tucked her tail between her ass and disappeared into the back. I was issued a full refund as requested & 2 of us left. The other guests stayed because they had already paid & started eating. But as long as Guiliana works at this establishment, I guarantee your ratings will continue to decrease & so will your revenue. Employers & co-workers know dirty seeds... I'm sure this is not news to you or her fellow co-workers. I hope Guiliana is not a reflection of management. That would be unfortunate. This place was great! It was such a nice break from the mediocre over priced food at the Hilton Caribe. The service was good and the Caribbean Cherry juice is delicious! If you are staying at the Hilton go to the Uber pickup area and make a left. There is a sidewalk towards the bay on the right past the parking garage. So came here for breakfast and must say it was pretty delicious . Service is a little slow - but the food is quite good . Friend had the vegan bagel sandwich - which i tried and was impressed with how good it was . I had the bagel Benedict which was good - but my only complaint is that as you cut into the poached egg - it was rather solid than creamy . This bagel shop is a hidden gem. Amazing menu options, incredible staff; the bagel shop looks like an ordinary bodega, but with a much more welcoming atmosphere. They have created bagel sandwiches I could not have imagined in an entire lifetime, but now can't imagine life without them. The selection of fruit drinks they offer is wide ranging, and incredibly delicious. Definitely try the fresh passionfruit juice, delicious coffee options, and do not pass up the savory corned beef and plantain bagel sandwich. I can't say enough good things about this bagel shop. We went here three times while we stayed at the caribe Hilton. The food was good but the staff was less than friendly. One young lady in particular was extremely rude. I wanted to add a sandwich onto my order and she proceeded to check me out and then rang the second order separately when i asked to have the tip taken off she said no. I came here with my partner to have a bite, we pre-ordered vía phone, and even tho the food arrived a little late, it was completely worth it and understandable due to the pandemic.
