Great drinks. The micheladas here are amazing. The ceviches and molcajetes were our favorite. The red snapper was good too.

Lots of TVs and seating options. No masks! Kitchen until midnight!

Such a fun spot! We wanted to eat and it was after 10pm. Not much was really available but this gem popped up. I was not expecting such a garish establishment! Such a fun surprise. I only had a vodka soda, but my friend ordered chicken enchiladas that were great. HUGE plate with beans, rice, and salad. She ate every last bit! Nice service. Fun atmosphere. Clean. Def going back! Perfect for late night eating.

#5 Combo with tamale, beef burrito and crispy Chile Rellenos

Don't judge a book by its cover....Mexican food is abundant on Federal and this place is very unassuming from the outside. Security bars over the windows doesn't exactly exude a welcome mat! Inside, however, its colorful with music playing at a loud but by no means unpleasant volume. Heads up...they can only take debit/credit cards with the chip technology; otherwise, there is an ATM inside. Service was friendly and welcoming. Came in around 8pm and it was Happy Hour. Ordered a couple of regular margaritas which were great. Ordered a small shrimp cocktail, 2 sides of crispy Chile Rellenos, and the # 5 combination with a tamale, beef burrito, and crispy relleno. Portions were large. The green chile had a little bit of heat and a nice flavor, a little on the tart side. Beef burrito was solid meat all the way through. Tamale was moist with a nice beef filling. The crispy Chile Relleno with the combo was a smaller Relleno, wrapped in like an egg roll wrapper and filled with cheese. Menu states that combination came with rice and beans. The server reaffirmed it came with it but the plate came without. I looked at the size of the plate and figured I had enough food so I wasn't going to split hairs over it. My wife ordered the side of crispy relleno, but that seemed more like an egg batter dipped relleno,,,not real crispy but still good in its own way. The shrimp cocktail was very good. It had a decent amount of shrimp bathing in a tart, "tomato-ey" broth with cucumbers and avocado. Overall we are fans and will be back. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, good food and value! Total bill was under $37. Can't beat that! I

I have been there many times the food is great and the service is very friendly. I order paella and it is suppose to be yellow and instead was just a regular rice with seafood.

This is the most authentic Mexican place in Denver. It is small and in an area visited by local Mexicanos and this makes it feel like you took a drive to Vera Cruz. The service is outstanding. The food fresh. Home cooked no Sysco crap. We get the steak nachos and have never been disappointed. Today the salsa is just a perfect piquante! Also served a nice warm soup gratis. It's one of the best kept secret (from us gringos) in Denver.

I ordered the Mariscos Molcajete and it was so damn good. Even the sauce poured over was amazing. The plates everyone ordered were also delicious. Excellent service as well, I understand why the place was packed.

Menu, ketchup bottle, salt shaker-all sticky and dirty. Chips are stale. Shrimp cocktail was bland. Fountain drink wasn't even good. ‍

This place fills up 60 days in advance, without fail! When we arrived, we were able to get parking about a block away on the street. We were soon greeted and guided to our seats upon walking in. This is a very small restaurant - only a few tables, not many options for big groups, and some bar seating both inside and outside. I can see why the reservations are in such high demand! We were recommended to get 4-5 small plates, so we decided on the Guacamole Alma, Burrito de Frijoles Puerco, Apache en su Jugo, and Enmolada de Pato. We also shared the hibiscus margarita and Mex 75. The drinks came out first - the hibiscus margarita was so refreshing, light and delicious! We weren't as big fans of the Mex 75 - but if you like smoky drinks this is the one for you. The guacamole came out first - it was tangy and tasty. I will say that the other dishes were a lot more unique. The burrito was a standout - we absolutely loved the homemade sourdough tortilla, one of the best we've ever tasted. The chorizo filling was savory and tasty. The Apache en su Jugo was unique and had a lovely flavor - if you are a beef tartare fan this is a wonderful dish to try! The enmolado de pato came out last and we thoroughly enjoyed the mole and flavor. This is definitely worth checking out. I will say as a Houston native we have several restaurants with similar flavors and slightly lower price tags and wait times, so I am a bit spoiled in that regard. But all in all the service is wonderful, it's a pleasure to try so many different and unique dishes, and the joy of snagging a reservation is worth it!

Place is cozy, right on the corner, very natural earthy interior design, makes it feel like vacation and very different from rest of Denver vibe. Foods are beyond just tasteful, feels like a whole experience with every bite. You typically need 4 to 5 plates for a party of two, each plate is elegantly designed and crafted. It comes out as a pure perfection, the house cocktails are unique above all is the avocado margarita, which is one of the exotic cocktails of all. Staff are extremely professional, not too friendly, not too cold, just the right amount of politeness to make one comfortable. For my fellow Denver folks, you have to visit this place to experience contemporary Mexican dishes, which, by the way, most of them taste more towards a comfortable level of spicy.

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.

I had Crispy Avocado Tacos, which came with black beans, and a side of Street Corn--both great choices. My friend had quesadillas and Potato Flautas , which I tasted and almost wish I had ordered as well.
