They did let us in and we got breakfast. Main doors were locked, got in through a side door on the patio. Only people in the restaurant. Items in their digital menu were not available. Even with the language barrier we were able to order. What we wanted to get wasn't available after they checked with the kitchen. What we did order was pretty good..wasn't what I planned ordering. Don't be intimidated by new cuisine - this place is amazing. The people are incredibly friendly and will help your through the menu. It is 100% worth stumbling around a little to experience something new. Ask your server what they like, what they grew up on, what is popular - don't be afraid to tell them what you don't like. While it "looks" like a walk up service place, its a full service sit down restaurant - although casual. There is a place for a band/entertainment in the back but we went for lunch and it was quiet. The first time I went to this restaurant I ordered a whole fish meal which was good because it was a red snapper and was told that their whole fish is always a red snapper, however this time I went back I was served a tilapia which is the worst fish ever, when I ask the serve what happen to the red snapper he then claim to go back to the kitchen to asked about it, came back and told me that was the last fish of the night. I was actually full of the appetizers and drinks, so I took my meal home. I try to eat it for the next day and that fish had no seasoning on it not even a drop of salt it was so bland and tasteless I wasn't able to eat it. It was very disappointing because now I paid the price for a red snapper and got a tilapia. They should let customers know what kind of fish is on the menu that day before we order if they no longer have the red snapper to serve. Ventured here for restaurant week and Happy hour. The menu is extensive and it includes pictures of everything so you can visualize it. The Happy Hour menu was great - $6 drinks, $4 beer and food for under $7. I ordered a lot of food, the fried fish, fried shrimp, empanadas, tostones and french fries. The food wasn't bad, everything I ordered was well prepared but the fish could have used a little more seasoning. They also have a bakery onsite with fresh baked goods. For drinks we ordered the drinks from the happy hour menu, sangria, coconut Margarita and mojitos. Drinks were very good, not too sweet and a nice mixture. The wait staff was pretty good, a few of them wasn't too fluent with the English language but they manage to smile to make up for that. It was a great experience and I will be back. read more

I ordered the skirt steak with Rice and beans , everything to me tasted very bland like it had no seasoning no flavor no pow just for the price I paid for, 4 that one meal. Brand new, great location, big space with metered parking all around the area. They have two floors, with a downstairs bar. They are still waiting on their liquor license at the time of this review. Same owners as nearby locations Portchester NY, Newburgh NY and Nanuet NY, just to make a few of the many locations. Spoke with the owner George who's customer service and wonderful personality are a breathe of fresh air. Especially for this area and his staff was all super nice and super friendly as well. He tells me this location was 3 years in the making and it shows it's absolutely beautiful inside. Very well lit, nice led lighting everywhere and it's laid out amazingly. Food is the standard and tradition Colombian cuisine. They also have kids meals with American dishes as well. If you're in the area you must stop in and try all of the amazing food that they offer. I came here for my birthday lunch on Sunday March 19th and I was so impressed with this restaurant. The restaurant is so pretty with top notch decor and it was huge. Perfect for big groups and still cozy enough for date night. There was a parking lot right next to it. The waitress was bilingual and her service was amazing. I had the bistec encebollado and it was so tasty. I also had the passion fruit mojito which was so pretty I didnt want to drink it lol. They sang for my birthday and the tres leches cake was so good. This was my first time at Noches De Colombia and although I didn't stay long, I did enjoy the vibe. We were seated at the bar which was towards the back. Our waitress, who was so sweet, greeted us with some menus and I landed on the whisky splash (I think that's what it was called) and got two sides, guacamole and sweet plantains. They don't serve the guac with chips so I had to get an additional side of tostones, which was kinda eh. Food was delicious. The warmest, kindest,service I've had in Stamford. I know they are Colombian, but please the ice coffee alone is worth a visit- not bitter or sour, the perfect acidity and blend. Came here the last two times with my sister but after today, we decided to not come back except for their brownie dessert. We seated ourselves since no one was around to do that. I think there was only one server at the time, so we waited time and time again for our appetizer, food, and then dessert. He kept apologizing but was also passive aggressive like, also forgetting to bring things we asked for. I'm sure this could've all been resolved if he had a notepad and pen to WRITE things down instead of attempting to memorize things. My sister and I discovered more than one strand of hair in her rice and that was enough for us to not bothering eating anymore. When the bill came, I used my credit card but was told it was declined, so I paid cash.. no issue. However when I called my bank, they told me two attempts were made in retrieving the amount and were processing so that was an automatic red flag for me. read more

I give this place two starts because the staff was very friendly and the place is very inviting with bright colors and eye-catching decor. Everything is very clean, including the bathrooms and the background music they place is nice and appropriate to the vibe of the place. But I'm sorry the food is terrible. I was excited to try a new Spanish restaurant in Stamford but this was not it. The arepas with cheese appetizers were inedible; so dry it wasn't even worth it. The fried calamari wasn't chewy but it just wasn't good and the cheese bread was pretty good but too sugary. For a main I got the arroz con pollo which was fair. Overall, this place is nice and cheap and has a fun atmosphere (although the music was so loud I literally couldn't think straight). If this was the only Spanish restaurant around it would do the trick but with so many choices (even right on this block) I'd say skip it. I've been to Noches de Colombia in Stamford several times and saw the food going down in quality. Unfortunately, it has come to the point that I will not return to this establishment. They served my family reheated side dishes (tostones, Maduros, and yuca fries. Dry and cold the food was. Not sure what is going on, but that is unacceptable. They tried to offer another serving, but how do I even trust a kitchen team willing to serve you that? I am so disappointed and would never return. Went to dinner with mother and sister in law on a Monday night, restaurant not busy. Had male server and new waitress he was training. Food and drinks were good. Service was awful. Sever took our order and never came back ONCE to check on the meal, ask about our drinks, or provide water refills. Had to track down other servers multiple times when our guy was MIA when we needed a steak knife and the missing sauce that was supposed to come with the steak. Very surprised when our bill arrived and we were automatically charged for gratuity for 3 people!!!!! Asked to speak with manager and he said that gratuity can be added at the servers discretion. Have worked in many restaurants and this is just sneaky. Shitty service should not get rewarded. Makes sense though, because if this server is able to just click a button to add on whatever gratuity he wants, there is no incentive to be an actual good waiter. Icing on the cake of this awful experience was the glass of house Cabernet that we ordered was listed on our bill for $16. HOUSE cab is never $16 ???? Manager said it was $8 which means server decided to up charge us without asking and was hoping we wouldn't notice. Again, sneaky shitty service. I hate to do a review off of an Uber eats order BUT...the food quality lacked SO much. I love good Colombian food but this place was NOT it. I was craving beans with rice so I got the breaded chicken with rice, beans and maduros, Pan de bono, and one empanada. The rice and beans were ok but the chicken tasted old, dry, cheap and poorly cooked. The empanada was dry, cold and lacking so much flavor. Pan de bono was just ok. You're better off finding a low key Colombian spot than a "chain". Everything tastes at least a day old and the chicken wasn't even cooked through. Very disappointed.
