First off I am terrible at Golf. I checked out Puetz for there driving range on my lunch hour today. The driving range is split up in two sections on ether side of the store, with lots of targets to shot at like an old golf cart and flags and such. Not that I came close to hitting any of them. The range balls run $6 for 50 or $11 for 100. which is a little high compared to other area driving ranges. The Pro shop is nice with a huge golfing assortment, and some cheap gloves too. Overall a nice place to hit some balls around. read more

This place isn't some 5 star driving range. But it's a nice size and easy to find. I don't even play gold and when I went there, I had a ton of fun. They also have a shop inside which is cool to look at if you are into all the golfing gear. Staff is nice and know what they are talking about. Driving rance prices are afforable and is fun when you want to take a group of people out with you just to hit some balls. They also have classes you can take if you wanted to do that. I'ts very fun and i would definitely come back. read more

If you can't find anywhere else to get golf gear, and have to shop Puetz, do it online and not in their Aurora store in Seattle. Service that is nonexistent would have been better than the awful treatment I received! I spoke with two staff by phone before going in to pick up a golf bag gift for my son that I put on hold. Both acknowledged the sale price -- but the clerk argued with me about the price. And even though he saw the sale price online, and though there was no fine print that the price was online only, he refused to honor it. Finally, he got the manager, who was on the phone and required my waiting another 10 minutes. He saw no problem with honoring the sale price, but also made no attempt to smooth over the issue. Go elsewhere . . . the name Puetz is consistent with staff behavior! read more

Bought a new set of AP1s and G4 driver last year. I told the sales associate that I was new to golf so I might need some extra help selecting clubs. Buying experience was completely lack luster, the associate spent hardly any time working with me, offered almost no advice, did not give any measurements. I went in here hoping to find some golf shoes and looked around for maybe 20 minutes. When I entered there were about three men standing near the front cash registers and not one person said hello or asked if I needed help with anything.At one point I did want to look at shoes but couldn't find my size or anyone near by to help me look for them. Just went in to price some new Irons and get info on custom fitting, but apparearly since I was dressed in work clothes still the don't care about me. I milled around waiting for help while I watched others who walked in after I did and get helped immediately. After I finally asked for help, the guy helping me have me very little information and acted like he had more important things to than wasting time with someone that doesn't look the part. read more

Chris was the definition of fast and efficient with my iron fitting. Bested my low round by 5 strokes, try the Callaway Apex CF16's Don't expect to be babied at a golf shop. Ask for help, that's what they're their for. read more

Staff is professional. Lots of parking but I do hate the speed bump right there at the entrance to the driveway going down not fun trying to balance a near 2 ton car with stick shift on a steep hill to go on to busy ass aurora? But the place has a large selection of golfing gear, great driving range with lots of lanes. Price is pretty good for 50 and 100 ball tokens. Members gives your $1 off each type token I believe but didn't ask how much membership was. Putting green needs lots of work...it's more like on obstacle course with all the divots lol. great fun though if you are wagering with a friend the first round of liquor or a meal or something and you sink a ball in. read more

The golf range at Puetz was a disaster. The people golfing next to me were talking and yelling loudly and I politely asked them to please use inside voices since I was trying to concentrate. next thing I know the guy blows up like I was crazy to ask him to quite down then goes inside to get the golf pro to ask me to move. When I explained to the golf pro that the gentleman was loud, he said that I should golf somewhere else because Puetz is always loud. I told him that this was ridiculous, and that a golf range has etiquette. His response was that Puetz golf range is loud and I was free to golf elsewhere. So not only is the Puetz golf range open to all who have no driving range etiquette, but it also has lousy customer service. So if you want to be as loud as you want and are "not" looking to relax and hit a few golf balls try I would suggest Puetz Golf. I would suggest the range by UW it is cheaper as well. read more

well, its like this,,my bff wanted a yellow dot set of ping golf clubs,,a complete set of the best pings money could buy and he wanted me to make that happen for him. So!!! went to Puetz golf center and after being catered to like he was Obama, three days later they had arrived via jet and there they were in all there glory. Well he paid for them so kicked down for the ping rag. He was so very happy of coarse but I did notice that there were people all over the place helping customers even if they were only looking. We felt welcome and were satisfied with the service. The manager was a very nice fella and they were treating us very well before we even mentioned that we were going to buy a complete set of pings. I suggest checking out the place just for something to do even if your not going to buy because its full of alot of things to look at,,, read more

Returned to Seattle after a twenty year hiatus I was disappointed by the overall quality of my visit today: 1) No line but a long, long wait at register to pay for range balls. A number of staff walking around avoiding eye contact and fiddling with price tags but no one to step up to a register. Only one register of two being used apparently. 2) Nastiest range balls I have ever hit! $12 for a decent size bucket should not have at least 6 with noticeable cuts. I have been playing for a few decades and I know range balls can be pretty worn but not useless. 3) Mats are in pretty good shape though which garners the single star today. I've taken several lessons with Patrick. I was playing a lot in the past but took time off with an injury. After the first lesson my swing was better than it had ever been. He explains things simply and can give you a visual using the TrackMan. He's taken a lot of strokes off my scorecard. I've taken a lesson or two at Interbay and their teaching style doesn't even compare to Patrick's. If you are struggling grab a half hour lesson and you won't be sorry. **book during the winter and get a 3 for $99 discount. read more

Prices here are decent but if you take the time to look online you can find a better deal once in a while if you are willing to take th time to look. I come here also for golf shirts and they always have a section for discounted items. I'm not a big fashion guy so I'm not too picky about my golf shirts. I only care that they fit and are good quality. If you need an item in a hurry, this is a great place to find it. I realized I misplaced my glove and had to pick one up on the fly so it is indeed very convenient to have a golf store around. read more

Not as good of an experience as in years past. Store seems more and more focused on closing big high margin deals for sets of golf clubs than helping the little guy. They no longer seem to sell used clubs for instance and recently refused to sell me grip tape after telling me on the phone that they would, so I wasted a trip all the way to their Aurora warehouse. Driving range uses ridiculously muted balls that give no indication of even distance differential between clubs. Finally testing clubs there is compromised, because they put what seems to be several ounces of tape all over the head of the club you are testing so not really a decent test. read more

Couldn't have had a better experience than I had with my clubfitter Chris. He spent many hours on the trackman fitting me. I'm obsessive/compulsive about my clubs but Chris did everything to make sure I got just what I wanted. And told me to come back if not satisfied. Thanks Chris. read more

Wow, what a great experience. I tryed out a few clubs, then went to their Launch monitor and found out exact distances for the clubs I was planning to purchase. I booked a lesson with Tyler on a Saturday for my husband (his very first). I had to cancel and reschedule 3 times or so due to a flat tire and etc., but they were very accommodating and patient. Tyler was great and made us feel very comfortable. I was worried about how the lesson would go and honestly if it would be a waste of money. The new student special was only $40 for a private 1-1 1/2 hr. Would recommend! read more

I'm a newbie to the sport, and am happy that I came to Puetz for my first real set of clubs. When I stopped by, it was Demo Days for all of the manufacturers, which was a ton of fun! I jumped from stall to stall, testing every iron set under the sun. When I was ready to put in an order, the Puetz staff was extremely attentive. I am writing to you as a long time customer of Puetz. I feel compelled to write regarding my recent customer service experience at Seattle Puetz store. I am a business owner and I know you would appreciate my feedback. I purchased a 2007 TaylorMade burner driver at your Bellevue store. I went to Seattle Puetz to report what I noticed as a defective club. The welding on the top of the face was cracking. On my visit, Nik, Puetz employee, had advised me that they would need to call TaylorMade and see what TaylorMade would do. Naturally, this made sense to me. Nik advised someone would follow up with me the next day as it was too late in the day to call TaylorMade. The next morning, Anne from Puetz gave me a call and advised me that TaylorMade would not do anything about the defective club. Anne stated the club was no long in warranty because the driver was manufactured in 2007. After learning of this, I went back to my purchasing record to see when I purchased the club because I wanted to know how long I had played with the driver. I wanted to factor in reliability as I am contemplating replacing my now damaged club. After realizing I purchased the driver in Feb of 2010, I was in disbelief that TaylorMade would stand by a product that would break within 15 months. I decided to give Nik a call back since he was the initial rep I had interfaced with and relay Anne's message. I shared with Nik when the driver was purchased and Nik confirmed Anne's statement regarding TaylorMade's warranty. At this point, I was still in disbelief and felt that I was being lied to. I decided to contact TaylorMade on my own and TaylorMade stated that the warranty is good for 2 yrs from the date of the purchase and NOT when it was manufactured. TaylorMade stated they would either put a new head or substitute for a new comparable driver. I decided to not pursue further dialogue with Nik or Seattle Puetz employees. It was obvious to me that Seattle Puetz was willfully misinforming their customers and could not be trusted. At this point, I decided to give Bellevue Puetz a call and see if they would follow the appropriate protocol and return policy. Bellevue called TaylorMade right in front of me and gave me a replacement within 10 minutes. Clearly, no one from Seattle Puetz had called TaylorMade. I am disappointed that I drove to the stores three times to settle what could have been a simple return policy and honoring TaylorMade warranty. Trust is a big part of earning business and I can simply say that I do not trust your employees. I would like to think it's a single employee's mistake but it appears the entire Seattle store's practice should be investigated. Furthermore, I will be forwarding a copy of this letter to TaylorMade to share my experience about their authorized dealer. read more

I had a golf fitting session with Brandon Dickinson. It was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend Brandon enough. He took his time and was very thorough. He explained why he was making certain changes and suggestions so that I had a good understanding of how it would impact my swing. He was very patient and took his time to answer any and all questions that I had very clearly. terrible customer service!! Bought an expensive used club; asked for a head cover. The clerk was gone for one minute came back and said none was available. I asked for an appropriate fit (which they have hundreds),,,,,he didn't even look! Just said no. I've been going to Puetz for about 10 years. It's a great crew of folks who really strive to help you find what you need and what is right for you. A big shout-out for PATRICK ACKERMAN, teaching pro. As someone so wisely told me years ago, spend as much on lessons as you do on clubs and accessories ... the lessons will help you more than any new club! Both my wife, brother and sister-in-law and I have taken lessons from Patrick and he is really a solid instructor, never focusing on what's wrong, but tirelessly working to help you find what's right. He certainly has made me a better golfer and he works so well with people of all ages. I like the fact that he makes you the center of attention the entire time you're with him and constantly seeks ways to help you improve, including prescribing what to practice when you go to the range. I live 25 miles away, but will make the drive because I know that I will always get his very best attention and guidance. I started playing golf 30 years ago and have taken classes at Puetz from at least 5 pros. Over the last two years I've had total knee replacements and major shoulder surgery so I wanted to "start over" with lessons and maybe new clubs. With luck I was placed with Patrick Landin. Patrick is the best pro I have worked with at Puetz - bar none. 1st he had me hit with my old clubs. 2nd he corrected a few things by weighing, measuring, and evaluating how I hit my clubs. 3rd he let me try out new graphite clubs (PING, cobra, etc.). I really like the King Cobra clubs. 4th he spent time watching me hit and kept track of how far I was hitting the balls. 5th he helped me order 8 new clubs including a 11.5 degree driver which was a big change for me. 6th he gave me a lesson with the new clubs I had purchased. Patrick was very thorough from the stretching to finishing the swing and gave me lots of information that I could use to improve my golf game. My experience was the best I have ever had at Puetz. My golf game is coming around to being good again. Patrick Landin knows golf and can communicate it clearly and effectively. Thanks Patrick. And to the Puetz Management: I thought you should know you guys have great lessons, great sales strategies, and great follow through. read more
