Best headshop on Haight, hands down. I bought a $30 torch from a different shop and it broke in 10 days. I went to Puff Puff Pass yesterday and told the guy at the counter my story. For $40 he hooked me up with a sweet torch that heats up the nail in less than 15 seconds. He also threw in a dabber and pack of rolling papers. This shop has awesome glass, quality products, a good people. I recently moved to SF and PPP is my favorite spot so far. read more

Have you ever walked into a place and had no knowledge about any of the items they carried ? Only to be ignored or shunned like you had the plague ? Will not here. Sam and Esa are two of the friendliest guys I have ever met. Their product knowledge and outgoing personality are top of the line. They took the time to listen to my needs and direct me to exactly what I needed (not the most expensive product either). Literally told me I didn't need to spend crazy for what I needed. This is the best head shop around, no joke. I've been to my fair share of head shops, but no one else has a selection like this place! Their glass selection is the largest I've ever seen and their pieces are absolutely beautiful. Top that, the staff and management are always friendly, willing to help, and pleasant to be around. I visit this place once every couple weeks just because it's so awesome. Also, their prices are VERY reasonable. I picked up my first bong here and will keep coming back. Highly recommend! read more

The hassle of getting here doesn't justify the prices or the service. I asked several times if they had a new piece asking if they were positive and it turned out they sold me the wrong piece. They seemed eager to make the sale and get me out of there. Also, their name brand glass is a a couple hundred dollars overpriced from what I can tell. At least on the Illadelph pieces. Not a huge deal since you're already looking to drop more than a grand, but it makes me wonder about their other prices. I wouldn't buy glass from them unless they let me see the invoice. If you live in SF this place is probably fine, but being an East Bay guy I see no reason to switch from all the great smoke shops on Telegraph, the cumulative selection and pricing is way better. went and bout a quartz bucket for my puffco. paid $40 for 1. saw on amazon the next day they go for 2 for $12 shipped. i understand stores need to make money etc, but these kind of mark ups make you fell ripped off. got two stars cuz the salesperson was very helpful. not gonna go back cuz i fell like if i buy anything there i can get it 70% of the price on Amazon. everytime i think of this place i think of getting ripped off, hope that extra 30 they ripped me for was worth it cuz they lost all my future business which is a hell of a lot more than $30 tey ripped me for. read more

Going to Haight street to buy smoke supplies is a chore. You never know what price you will get quoted and you always have to be aware of the "hustle" most of these shops put on you thinking you are a one time tourist..hustling tourists is bad enough, but locals too ? They have a large supply of everything, the guys who work there actually know their products and they also give you a fair price when they know you are here to buy. You asked for it... :) I came in on Black Friday and had a little bit of a hard time trying to get someone to show me a pipe though they were all three helping the group of girls that were checking out. After I got one of the guys, that I don't think works there, to show me my selections, my experience turned... They are the goofiest guys in a smoke shop... Think Cheech and Chong meets That 70's Show (characters wise, not era). I had the guy that doesn't work there hold each pipe since it was for my boyfriend. Great sports!!! I got a great price on everything! Ames(?) and Sam were fun and helpful. Not sure of their knowledge since I didn't ask any questions, but I don't think I'd hesitate to ask if the need was there. The reason to go here is the selection. They have everything...one stop shop. Don't expect much else (i.e. bargains) and you will be fine. I've been into a few smoke shops and usually have good customer service but Puff Puff Pass had beat them all. I came in this morning around opening to pick up a 24k Shine cone for a friend's birthday. The guy helping me was informative and when I asked for a pack of Dutch masters in addition to the Shine, he told me the dutches were on the house and included a lighter to give to my friend for his birthday. I unfortunately didn't get a name from the guy who helped me out, but I walked out very happy with my visit thanks to him and his good morning vibes. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Puff Puff Pass - Vape Shops Near Me - San Francisco, California

I walked in the shop over the weekend and was amazed by the art work this place has. From the top of the roof to the showcases that display their products everything is decorated to a tee. I ended up making my way to the back room which had a glass gallery and noticed that they had pieces for the hardcore smokers that blew my mind. I ended up getting a bubbler for a friend and the service was excellent. Sam helped me pick out a bubbler that was just around my price range and I couldn't believe how many they had to choose from. Word to the wise, if your gonna go to any smoke shop that is legit and has what you want, you HAVE to check this place ot. Staff was unprofessional and arrogant... diden't feel like they earned the position, rather it was handed to them. I was treated solely as a customer rather than as an individual. Spots cool, they have nice pieces and a good variety but the person (Taylor) that was helping me felt like he was trying to rip me off as if I didn't know what I was talking about. When I first got there, I told him I was looking for a dab nail for my bong piece and the gentlemen on the phone I spoke to prior to arrival said he had them for $14. Taylor insisted I heard wrong and they have them for $25 and up. 5 minutes later he comes to say he has generic ones for $15. I told him that's what I said in the first place. I also purchased a torch from him, and when I used the product the flame wouldn't turn off, luckily I was still outside the store and it just closed so I ran to the window and Taylor came out and ended up replacing it for a different one. Turns out the second torch's safety lock feature was broken. I called the store the next morning and ended up speaking with the manager (Issa) and he told me to come in. He issued me a brand new out of the box torch that has been highly rated and apologized for the poor service. He threw in a free metal dab tool as well. This place is nice but seems like the only people that care about it is the management. Won't be back. read more

Puff Puff Pass is amazing, I can't say enough good stuff honestly. They have an insane selection, first of all. Overwhelming almost. Luckily the family that owns it is super knowledgeable and helpful. They were so friendly and helpful and the recommendation I was given was spot on! If you're looking for something specific, just ask! If not, just stare at all of the insane glass pieces, artwork, and smoking gadgets. They were super budget friendly as well, I got out for under $20 and it's exactly what I needed. An overall really awesome experience, 10/10 would go out of my way to shop here! A recently spawned smoke shop that looks like it was produced by a bad 80's video director, ppp is an eyesore. neon lights accent the stupid mannequin display, blatantly advertising that they want to be generic. the glass isn't worth what they mark it, which they admit by pretending to give a discount "just for you". that's dishonest business practice. just like the media, they deceive. with so many other decent, locally driven head shops, why is this place so popular? the answer is simple: misinformation. read more

Vast glass selection, but it is always swarming with tourists and the staff rarely leaves the counter to help true, potential customers. I think their prices, at times, are a little crazy, even though they have some really cool pieces. Celebrities, food, nature, tv shows, video games, etc., they have pieces for you! This place is exquisite!!!! I was shocked to find so much inventory when I walked inside. The people working there are extremely nice and knowlegable. The younger gentleman in the baseball cap with a dolphin on it was extremely helpful. I think he was one of the managers. You can tell he really cares about customer service. This is the best smoke shop on Haight street by far. The use of the neon lights inside of the store give it a great ambiance. I absolutely loved the Goofy poster on the outside of the store.
