Went to the Wappingers Falls office on 2/26. 9:30 AM. The wait time was avg. as was the visit. The "Provider" provided me with an XRay and a fairly quick diagnosis. Broken Toe... no problem. We discussed anti inflammatory medication. She says "I'll send that in right now." 2/27 12 noon - still NO meds called in. Called an No One was picking up the phone at this location. Literally. I called the Poughkeepsie location. 2 Hrs later their PA called and said the provider at Wappingers did not provide Any notes. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE !!! read more

My family and I had to take a PCR test for traveling at the crazy peak of Omnicom during the holidays. Like many other urgent care facilities, you do a provider telehealth screening (so they can make money), the provider orders the appropriate test, then you visit their physical drive-through locations to do the swab test. You have to sign up for MyQuest (Quest Diagnostics) in order to receive PCR results. Some pros and cons: Pros: - Preliminary Solv check-in through Solv and MyQuest sign-up was easy and smooth. You have to make sure you verify and follow all instructions, and it takes about 10 min for the COVID test (not the result) to show up on MyQuest. - The drive-through process was good- organized and smooth and took about 30 min from arrival to swab. You wait in line, staff signals you to drive up to the main lot where you get a car ticket number where you are swabbed then you drive to an adjacent lot if you want to wait for your rapid-antigen result printouts. The lady who did our swabs was very friendly and sweet. - We did our swabs Sunday 4PM, our PCR results came back the NEXT DAY Monday 1:30PM! Results came back efficiently with no delays. VERY annoyed with the PulseMD upsell tactic!! Cons: - The wait to speak to a provider online took ~1hour (normal wait times was ~15 min). We kind of expected this since everything was slammed and backed up but Solv should have provided an accurate time counter on-screen versus the one where the wait-time just kept refreshing and increasing. Confusing user experience overall. - The provider ended up calling my cell phone because the telehealth systems were down. It was obvious the rep was stressed and was VERY curt and rude. We felt that she kept trying to UPSELL us the rapid PCR tests ($250pp) and scaring us that the PCR tests now take about 3-5 days since she knew we were travelling in 3 days. Note: - I have T-Mobile, and there is NO data in that area whatsover. Bring a book or download your shows/podcasts. Hoping the telehealth screening experience can be improved with clarity and accuracy of wait-times. Also, please don't upsell us, such a turnoff. read more

After 2 1/2 years of managing this virus, why can they not get the process correct? My daughter called to let them know she tested positive for Covid this morning and was symptomatic. They arranged a Teladoc visit which went well. Following the Teladoc visit, they asked her to come in person for another test. Would not give her a specific appointment but said that she could just arrive anytime until 8 o'clock. we follow their instructions and were redirected to the back of the building covid testing station. Waited and waited and no one came out. After another 20 minutes, I flag them down from outside the building through the back door. A representative came out and asked the name then finally another 10 minutes later they called her to go inside to meet with the doctor. I understand this is a very difficult virus but the process couldn't have been worse. The phone number on the sign for information leads to ADT alarm systems, not pulse MD. I did advise them. Rafaela, the front desk attendant is a joke. Rude, nasty, and turns off the line to not receive calls. Vince who is the so called "provider" did absolutely nothing other than tell me I couldn't be treated for my symptoms nor did he prescribe anything for the serious symptoms I had. I'm pretty sure this guy isn't a doctor or an rn and is why he cant prescribe medications. Was told that there was no appointment necessary despite an issue with making an appointment online. I was also told that I had go to this location for an X-Ray as the Dutchess Turnpike location had no tech. The location is around back of a plaza and the waiting room is set up in a U. When I walked in with my son on 6/6, the receptionist was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Out loud, she asked my son why he was there which is a HIPAA violation. None of your business, lady. They then proceeded to argue with him about needing an x-ray because he had fallen. He ended up with broken fingers and they didn't even give him a splint. He ended up going to another InstaCare where they fully took care of him. I wouldn't go into this place if I was dying on the steps at the front door. Can't believe I even have to give it 1 star. Was here for a walk in DOT/drug screening. I'll start by saying everyone was really nice. It was not busy . Unfortunately I had 4 people who showed up after me somehow cut in front of me to get there physicals and drug screenings. I was told I could not leave or use the bathroom due to the drug screening which is fine, but not when you made me wait two hours to be seen. After they brought me in I was finally able to use the restroom. 5 minutes after I gave my sample they realized they only took the sample for the drug screening and not the dot physical so they asked me to squeeze some more out after JUST going, when they should have just split the sample I gave to begin with. After the preliminary physical tests I waited for a half hour for the doctor to come in to do the final tests, only after I asked someone in the hallway if I was forgotten about...which I clearly was. Then, it took about another half hour to finish the tests and finish the paperwork. Like I said, everyone was very nice..but the management or something is lacking..3 hours for a dot physical and drug screening is unacceptable especially when it was NOT busy at all. read more

They made me wait in my car for results and told me I was negative and sent me home then two days later they called me back to tell me to call my doctor. I've been trying to schedule a rapid COVID 19 test for two days. It must be done on line where all of your insurance information etc is provided. They then send you a link to confirm the date and time. It is now well past that time and I have been waiting for over an hour with no contact. The website is buggy and does not permit me to get beyond the code verification screen yet it schedules an appointment. No human contact is available there. I just called the receptionist who was very curt without explaining cut me off put me on hold where I have been again waiting again for a very long time. I need the test to comply with out of state travel. luckily I do not have Coronavirus or I would likely be now very sick or worse. I only hope that they have not billed me for these as it will take an enormous amount of time again on the phone to straighten it out with my insurance company read more

I've gone here 3-4 times. Each time I walk away wondering why I wasted my time and my copay. The biggest thing that annoys me with this place is whoever comes in to treat you never introduces themselves and refers to themself as "one of the providers" what does that mean? Are they a doctor, a PA, a nurse? They then do a rush examination that takes no more than 3 minutes, most of the time resulting in you walking away with less than you knew before you went in. If they spent as much time with patients and put the effort in that they do with advertising their skin rejuvenation things they might be a better place. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and relative speed at which I was seen at Pulse this weekend. I have a bad upper respiratory infection, and it included some unusual symptoms. The doctor told me they weren't equipped to diagnose me with the peculiar lab results I had, and gave me the choice of having some more tests or going right to the ER. That was helpful. They could have run more tests (and presumably charged for them) and sent me to the ER afterward, but she knew it would be a long wait in the hospital and wanted me to have the most prompt care I could get. I was pleased with the care and as an extra touch, the doctor called me the next day to see how I was and go over lab results. read more

They refused to see my injured grand daughter . They said there was a co pay balance. Which is not possible with her insurance. There was a clerical error . They refused to treat her with a head injury. No money is owed, Insurance covers all. They were unprofessional and did not act like medical professionals should. I visited pre-Covid and had a good experience but wanted to leave this review based on a more recent visit w/ my 2 year old. The urgent care sent me a text to notify me that they were behind for our virtual visit. The virtual visit was quick and the PA gave me a few options, and I chose to bring my son in that evening around 7:30. The place was empty and they had me bring him inside where the receptionist, nurse and PA were incredibly friendly, prompt, and just made me feel very comfortable. They took great care examining my son (double ear infection) and gave us all the information we needed quickly. This was a relieving experience because our pediatrician is not close by, so I will feel confident bringing my son to that urgent care the next time the need arises. read more

It's that time of year where everyone is sick, after being turned away from an urgent care closer to me, I found Pulse on Google and was able to make an immediate appointment on line; (I tried calling but no answer). They have a system where you can fill out most forms online before your visit, including uploading your ID and insurance cards, which really saves time. The office was crowded but I really didn't have to wait long to be seen. The receptionist was pleasant in spite of the fact she was swamped. The medical staff was friendly, pleasant and responsive, and didn't rush me. The offices are clean and well kept. I will definitely drive the extra ten minutes to go to Pulse if I need urgent care again. I highly recommend them. read more

Online appointments are ignored unless you call the POUGHKEEPSIE office and ask them to remind the midwits at Wappingers to hop on the call. If you're lucky enough to have them reach out to you after that, and get your butt down there for a Covid appointment? It won't matter, because after you leave they'll call you back, telling you they "broke" your testing sample. It's now 2 days later, I'm worse than I was, no results, and they're saying I should come back for a reevaluation so they can overcharge me again and do nothing a second time. Went there today because I was exposed to Covid on a family trip. The other members of my family that tested positive were put on Paxlovid and felt better in 24 hours. I told Pulse when calling, I wanted to be prescribed Paxlovid if positive, they said to come down. After taking $120 for the test and having me wait for over an hour, the PA tells me "we don't prescribe medications because we are not a primary care doctor. Why would anyone bother to take a $10 Coved test for $120 (and your time), if they do absolutely nothing for you? I am extremely unhappy with the lack of Customer Service available. I received a bill because my primary insurance company was not sent the claim, only my secondary provider. I have tried to reach the business office but they only respond to voicemail when they have time. Online, I can see that they have my insurance company and ID numbers incorrectly recorded. They do not offer an email address or any other way to reach them. I will have to send them 'a letter'. I absolutely do not recommend dealing with them. Went to Pulse-Md and saw Dr. John Duberstien, I have never felt more disrespected by a doctor in my life. I told him the antibiotic I have been on for over a week was not working and he mocked me saying "if you believe that fantasy". I left the office crying. He was rude and insensitive and I will NOT be going back. Edit to add: The nurse reached out to be in a timely manner, apologizing for what happened to me. Do yourself a favor, stay away. Even if you think they can handle a common cold, they cant. They are in it for the money. They don't do a proper evaluation, their goal is to give you a prescription and be out the door in 15 mins or less. I know you may feel this is a good thing, but in reality if I would have went to one of the many urgent cares in the area I would have been diagnosed properly and not have to have gone back 2 times. The providers that see you are all PA's and if you ask to speak with a physician he will call you and have no information about you. Again many other urgent cares centers within 5 miles. signs, etc. I messed up how to get on line and instead of politely explaining how to properly get in line the Pulse associate found it appropriate to tell at me and say I must need an eye exam and re do my driving test to have missed how the cars were in line. Threatening to call the police if I don't properly get on line when I was asking how to get back over to that side of the building. First of all you do not speak to another person that way in any circumstance but, especially when you're at your place of work and there is no signage etc. Since yelling at me he put out 282727 cones and signage so clearly there was a bigger issue. However, I will never return somewhere where it is okay to be condencending, rude and completely inappropriate to your "customers". He also spent the time to go over with me the medications he was prescribing for my upper respiratory/sinus infection, why he was prescribing them, and the side effects. Customer service is garbage. Very confused as to why it took up to 3 hours to get tested. A majority of the time I was just waiting for the virtual visit which is absolutely stupid. Came and immediately was greeted by a sign and roped off saying, "Stop, do not enter wait to be called up to the desk." Waited there 20 min. There were signs everywhere telling you what NOT to do. I was told when I got to the front I'd have a lengthy wait but they could not tell me how long. I waited, as I was in a lot of pain. Two of the 3 receptionists were extremely curt and rude to everyone. I watched the que until there was no one in front of me. Didn't matter. The line continued. After 2 hours, I asked if they could tell me where I was on the line. I was told I'd be next. I went in 2 hours 30 min later. The sign on the wall in the examination room said to wear a mask unless I was being examined. I took it off so the doctor could examine me. When she came in, she told me to put it back on. She then told me to take it off 2 seconds later to check my throat. She diagnosed me and gave me a script for tamiflu. There was no tamiflu at any drugstore in the entire county (you would think she would know that). I came back to get paperwork and was immediately yelled at to stay behind the roped off section again (this is 3 hours later). I was then told I'd have to wait for the paperwork. Staff was extremely curt and rude except for one receptionist and person who took vitals. They made sure to get everyone's copay immediately though. read more
