DO NOT Go to the Wappingers Falls location Pulse MD unless you are Vaccinated. I went here because I was taking over the counter medicine for a few days but it didn't work. Contacted my regular doctor and they were booked till August so had no choice but to turn to an urgent care. I arrived with my son and was asked to fill out a covid 19 questionnaire. On that questionnaire it asked me if I was vaccinated I circled NO , it also asked my symptoms and covid 19 questions such as did I travel out of the country etc . Besides the point it said answer these questions truthfully and sign . Which I did . Carlie the rude receptionist that works there finally called me up and said what are your symptoms. I said I believe I have a sinus infection. Than she said YOUR NOT VACCINATED you have to leave right now, we can only do a virtual with you. I than asked her is this all urgent cares policy or just yours . She began to say Im not sure about other places but this is ours . After this point I asked her when can she do a virtual, she said whenever you want Ill send a text message... not anywhere does it say this that you can only receive in person treatment if your vaccinated. At this point I left and went to another urgent care Nuvance health urgent care they are awesome!!!! they asked for my license and insurance. which is usually normal protocol. I didn't even get asked any of this but got asked to leave at Pulse Md once Carlie saw that I was NOT VACCINATED . the next day I returned to Pulse MD WAPPINGERS falls location on Saturday June 5 ,2021 and asked for a copy of their policy because I don't want anyone else walking in there sick looking for medical help and getting turned away because they are not vaccinated . This covid vaccine is not a state mandate and how dare this facility make it feel like it is to get medical help. The girls that were there Mackenzie and the nurse Justine said they didn't have access and tried to pull some bs about Hippa law . I than left and returned again same day. The girl than called her manager and said that they would be contacting me about there policy, rules, regulations . the way they operate and by the way there policy is not posted on there web site page nor anywhere in their office... and no one has yet contacted me .. DO NOT go there. They also tried to tell me that because of covid there policy changes and thats why they don't need to post their policy... you may be privately owned but you still accept insurance so you still have to follow government laws .. i hope now one of the managers there Tiffany, Margaret and one other contact me now . I hope no other person that walks in there seems to feel forced to get vaccinated just to receive medical attention and help. Shame on this urgent care for even asking if someone is vaccinated or not . You have no right asking that question there are reasons why people are not getting the covid vaccine and it's none of your business its part of the HIppa law. read more

I was having heart palpitations and numbness that was traveling up my leg to my face this was the closet place for me to go. I walked in and explained what was happening and they told me that I had to do a virtual visit, I explained I had my second vaccine a few days earlier and that I was concerned about my heart ( didn't feel like a normal on the floor heart ache but concerned me a enough to see a doctor). I went to Pulse MD today to get an infected burn looked at. The receptionist and LPN were wonderful. Dr. Levia Sullivan was not. She was disinterested in what happened, couldn't remember what I was allergic to, and was dismissive. When she walked into the exam room, she didn't wash her hands, ran her finger over my oozing, infected burn without a glove, said she'd prescribe an antibiotic, and left the room, again without washing her hands. Completely unsanitary and unprofessional. I was here a little over a year ago - turned out an infection had gotten into my blood stream. Then I received professional, efficient care. This place is absolutely horrible I went there last night they did a virtual visit they Covid tested me even though I had let them now I am tested weekly and I was negative after all that the doctor met with me and I asked the doctor to examine me to make sure I wasn't having any high blood pressure and that my chest was clear and everything else and the doctor absolutely refused to examine me just kept referring me to the hospital for a CAT scan when I said I would follow up with my own doctor for the CAT scan can he still please examine me just to rule out anything else he absolutely refused the worst place ever I wouldn't send my enemy there read more

Horrible ! Horrible ! Horrible ! First question I was asked was if I was vaccinated, I said no and was asked to go into the parking lot. Never asked what was wrong with me!!! She said i needed to be swabbed first before i was seen, i said swabbed for what, she replied whatever he feels like. After telling her I wasn't there for anything COVID related she "let me stay." Only to have Fake "doctor" Vic kick me out of the office, took my money at reception and then refused to see me without first going into the parking lot for a COVID test. Went in with no symptoms of COVID. Yelled at me in the room like I was a leper, didn't even ask what was wrong before telling me I had to leave and won't be seen for possible "respiratory issues..... i felt dizzy, no respiratory issues!!!!!. I recently visited Pulse-MD for a bad cut that required stitches. From the time I arrived to the time I left I could not be happier with the service I received. They were prompt and caring. Very personable. It was later in the day and they weren't busy, so that may be why I was seen so quickly, but either way I was very happy with how it went. Now, fast forward a week when I returned to have the stitches removed around 8:30am. That experience is why I only gave 3 stars (would have been 5 had the second visit gone well). I waited for an hour and a half before I was called and placed in a treatment room. I was told someone would be with me 'shortly'. 20 minutes later I was still waiting. I asked when someone would be in and was told "in a few minutes". I waited another maybe 15 minutes and had had enough. I walked out of the room, told them I couldn't wait any longer and walked out the door. They were apologizing as I left, but I simply could not wait any longer. I will admit they were busy, but removing stitches is literally a 5 minute process. In fact, I ended up taking them out myself that night in less than 2 minutes, which included cleaning the area before I started and after I had them removed. While stitched removal isn't high on the priority list, given the very short amount of time it takes to do it there is no reason someone couldn't have popped in quickly and taken care of it between other patients. Other times I've had this done it was usually a nurse removing them. Apparently nurses aren't allowed to remove stitches at Pulse-MD. No idea why considering often they are more adept at such things than even doctors. Anyway, I really did like them at first and can't really say I don't like them now. They are friendly and attentive, but it just doesn't appear as though they prioritize so well. One other thing to note... While I was there a woman came in with a small child suspected of having coxsackie. During her wait, this woman took the child over to an area to play with some toys in the waiting area. First of all, the mother was a complete idiot for doing this if she suspected her child had coxsackie, having no regard for other children that may come in and play with the same toys. Second, the receptionist had full view of this and should have put a stop to it. I will bet that none of the items the child played with were sanitized after the visit and probably have never been. I can't totally blame Pulse-MD because the mother was an obvious moron, but given this is a place where sick children are brought, the toys should be cleaned regularly. read more

My wife was told to come in for not feeling well after calling ahead to make sure she could be seen due to Covid and knowing places are timid about seeing anyone (understandably). No problem they say. She gets a text on her way that the Dr will not perform any tests (even unrelated to Covid) but will evaluate her. She arrives and is told she shouldn't even be in the building and that they won't see her. She's also told she has to do a virtual visit first, which she then goes on her phone to try and they have nothing available for days (urgent care?). Make up your mind or perhaps instill a bit of bedside manner to the employees. I'd like to remind you, there are other things going on aside from COVID. People are still getting sick with other things as well. I understand caution. I understand precautions. However, being that this is a doctor's office, you should know how to mitigate contamination. If your only answer to this is to refuse service to customers who are doing their best to meet your arbitrary rules, I would guess your business will suffer as a result. read more

I went to pulse MD and felt like I was treated curiously. I would go again. But I was a little surprised that the Nurse Practitioner didn't ask me more questions about my condition and give more preventative advice. This is more of a reflection of modern medicine versus a reflection of this center. read more

We have visited this place a few times and every time they get slower and slower. We were there yesterday waiting, there was 1 other person ahead of us when we got there, we were finally seen 1 hour and 15 minutes later. The RNP was nice enough clearly in a hurry, told us she would check the RX that she wanted to prescribe to make sure it did not conflict with my daughters ADD meds and call it into the pharmacy. While I was waiting for the discharge papers, she was out the door. I had a feeling at that time she did not take care of the RX. When I called Pulse MD the next day they told me she did not prescribe RX and maybe I miss understood and they would NOT call the RNP to clarify. I could either come back in for another visit or wait until Monday when the RNP was back in they would not call her on her days off. Since when, are medical professionals not allowed to get a call to clarify an issue? Not sure we will ever return to this place after this experience. read more

Went there today after a bad experience at excel urgent care in Fishkill. The doctor I believe her name was Dr Reina was excellent in addition to the entire staff. Thorough exam chest X-ray bloodwork she really cared and listened. I have been fighting a cold cough ears nose throat stuff for two months and i was getting concerned her diagnoses and treatment put me at ease so nice to have such a competent urgent care by my home. Went to Pulse-MD today for a migraine that I have had for 3day. I went to e.r and the place was so packed I would have been there all day. Thank God for this place! I was in and out of there with in 1 hour and a half. The staff was really nice, especially the nurse that took care of me. The doctor was very easy to talk to and she related to having migraines as well, and gave me great advice. read more

I have used Pulse MD Several times along with my wife and 3 children. I wanted to put a review up on yelp because I read the one below and was appalled that anyone would report this facility to the department of health. I, myself, have gone there 3 times and each time I saw a different provider (once a doctor and the other 2 times two different nurse practitioners). All 3 of my visits were excellent, I was treated once for chest pain and another two times for sinus issues. My wife was there twice for upper respiratory issues. ALL THREE of my children have used Pulse MD and all 3 of them had injuries. One was a fractured finger, one was a sprained ankle and the other was a large cut to his forehead (this was traumatic as he is our youngest). Each and every time my children were treated great by the front desk, the nurses AND especially the providers. Not once were any of us misdiagnosed. I prefer using Pulse MD over our regular doctors and I have referred several people and have not had any bad feedback. Glad Pulse MD is so close to our house making trips there so convenient. I decided to go to PULSE- Wappingers Falls this morning for a persistent cough I had been having for 2 weeks. I also made the mistake of going to another urgent care office in Wappingers a week ago and I realized I had been mis-diagnosed because the medicine I was prescribed did not help. I looked at Yelp reviews and spoke to my husband who had been to Pulse before (and wondered why I went elsewhere in the first place) and crossed my fingers as I walked in today. The office was empty and If I waited 10 minutes to be seen, that was a lot. The doctor immediately gave me comprehensive treatment for my condition which made me feel better right away, gave me a referral and prescribed medicine that even my husband thought I should have gotten at the other place. I have been home from work all week long feeling miserable...now, I feel well enough to return to work tomorrow! The front desk staff and nurses were also terrific.This place is great and I'm very pleased! read more
