Quaint sandwich shop in a strip mall. Came here on a Friday afternoon and it was relatively empty, but seemed like a place that could get pretty busy at lunchtime. Customers seemed liked a mix of regulars and non. Service was good. They were nice and delivered our food to the table. I also heard them address some of the more frequent guests by name. The inside was homey considering its location. Sandwiches were good and decently priced. My husband got a half club on rye and side salad combo. He was happy with it. I got the turkado sandwich on wheat with a side of macaroni salad. Sandwich was fresh and reminded me of what I always wanted my school sandwiches to taste like, but they never did. Ha. This is one of like 12 review that I've been needing to write. I've been really lazy, but I did do my best to take pictures of places so that I won't forget! So here we go....slowly For a while, I've heard co-workers swear this place has the best pastrami. It's not really a restaurant, it's just one of the many "sandwich shops" that are frequently in the rows and rows of office buildings in this area. Small menu of various sandwiches such as egg salad, ham and cheese, BLT, etc. So this is just a get your sandwich, swallow it, and get-the-hell-out type places, don't expect to take your date here, it's a Mon-Fri "lunch break" place. Seeing that people have had good things to say about the pastrami (my favorite of all sandwiches) I had to try it. It came with a quarter length slice of pickle. I cut it in half examined the two fist full of pastrami and took a big bite....instantly I was greeted with a saltiness that should only be reserved for food preservation. It was WAY too salty. My co-workers are idiots it they had what I had and thought it was the world's best pastrami. I would go as far as to say Subway's microwaved pastrami is better! I can tell the meat was good, it was just way over seasoned (salted), maybe it was just this time. GREAT potential! I heard their Egg Salad Sandwiches are good too...but then again That's what they said about the pastrami. ONE thing that was really good was the toasted bread that surrounded the pastrami. "Yay! I'm a Fan" is right. those of you who write reviews know that how these begin. Great breakfast and lunch place for when you have a half hour or hour for lunch. They can be a bit slow so order ahead if your in the half hour group. If you are the latter than go ahead and come in. It is super clean and just relaxing place to get away from your boss! I have been here 2 times and the only bad thing I can say is the first time I came they asked me if I wanted a pickle and guess what, no pickle. And something I have to check next time I go is do they charge for the pickle? I think it should be free or worked into the price of the samich since pickle is in the name. I had a pastrami the second time. It was wound up so tight in the sandwhich paper I almost did not want to open it. It was on a nice bread with a hard outer shell. The meat was not over flowing but just right. It had the pastrami pickles and cheese. Also had a spicy pepperoncini which for me were to spicy but they were good. As you can tell I do like this place and they always have good food so I came back a third time and had the turkey avocado. Again just the right amount of love with the ingredients that the sandwich was not hard to hold and overpowered with flavors. For sure if you want a hearty meal and go back to work satisfied and not feel sleepy from food coma unless you want to order more than you should eat, then the Pumper Pickle is a good place for your mouth to rest or is it exercise? My go to is the #21, the Trilogy. (Turkey, Avocado, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, Mustard). I add provolone cheese. And always get it on a toasted white roll. It will not disappoint you.
