What a blast!! The Pumpkin Station at Del Mar provided hours of frivolity. Firstly, no parking fee. Secondly, no entrance fee. All rides/attractions are $5 per (1 ticket) but I highly recommend purchasing a pack. We went with the 12 ticket pack for $42. My daughter was in stitches going from slides, to bounce houses, to rides, to the petting zoo (goats only) and then back to the slides. We brought our own water and snacks which was the best decision because the available food did not look too good. On our way out we purchased 3 pumpkins to decorate our home. With several locations we will definitely venture to another Pumpkin Station to experience other offerings (corn mazes, pony rides, tractor rides). This review is for anybody who wishes to hear my opinion...

Awesome for little kids!!! My two are 1.5yo and 5yo, and my nephews are 3yo and 4yo. They had a blast going from ride to ride. It was a smaller pumpkin patch which I really loved... much easier to keep track of the kids and let them have a bit of freedom.

This pumpkin patch has everything the kid wants - bouncy houses, petting zoo, carnival type rides , face painters and such. Plenty of parking on a dirt lot. Its always placed every year directly across from the Del Mar racetrack.

Super fun rides for the littles. They had a blast. Mini carnival. Everyone working the rides was fantastic...sweet and so nice!!! Thank you for making it a fun afternoon

My favorite pumpkin patch every year so big and so many nice pumpkins to choose from I look forward to this every Halloween!

This is a great place to visit during the fall season to get in the Halloween spirit! They have no shortages of pumpkins or haystacks. There are plenty of activities here for kids to enjoy and it certainly has the right atmosphere!

$30 for 12 tickets. Great for when you have a few kids with you. But I only had my one with me, and each ride requiring only one ticket, we had half those ticlets left. Luckily I was able to sell them to a family who was walking in as we were walking out. My 6 yr old has pretty much out grown most of the rides there (kiddie train, plane, tea cups, tiny merry go round). He stuck with the jumpy slides, which the adults were able to enjoy too. The petting zoo was cool. Kids were able to climb into a farm tub filled with bunnies, chase chickens, and feed goats. We spent $6 for a great looking medium size pumpkin and a mini one. I have no complaints. I don't buy pumpkins often enough to feel the need to comparison shop. To make the trip extra special, I recommend bringing a travelers mug filled with spiked coffee. It's been a tradition of mine.

Such a fun place to go. We came this year in the evening and couldn't believe how crowded it was. It was like these families made it their night on the town! It was fantastic. I have to say we used to come all the time, mostly in the day with my Mommie groups but now that my son is 10, there's not much for him to do. He enjoyed the slide and the bounce house. We actually met family there because i habe a young niece that got to enjoy the train and the merry go round as well as the petting zoo. The goats were adorable. It's grown and they even have a cool snack shack. Small venue but fun and more for the younger kids.

This place has become Our Annual pumpkin patch. The rides are great for toddler thru 5-6 age group. The lines are Non- existent and the staff is friendly. You do need to bring socks for all the inflatable slides and bounce houses or they sell them there for $1. The pumpkins were all spread out so it was fun for the kids to search for the perfect pumpkin. We had a hot dog and lemonade when we were here and both were good. Similar to fair food or why you would normally expect at events like this. The petting zoo was a favorite and the train ride. If you go to there website you can get a free ride on the train.

Got ourselves a pumpkin! :D Pumpkins this size are around $7.

There were many different varieties of birds, and each one added to the experience. My partner and kids had a wonderful time, and we especially loved the beautiful koi pond as well. It was a peaceful, fun, and unique outing for the whole family. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys birds and wants a more interactive experience with them. One thing to keep in mind is that visitors are not allowed to hold or pet the birds. However, you can feed them, and if they choose to land on your arm, that's perfectly okay. One of the birds even hopped onto my son's arm, which was a highlight of the visit! Overall, a fantastic experience that we would happily do again.

Located in Del Mar near the festival, if your eyes are peeled open, it can be quite easy to miss. There's a few parking spots available. I came at 10am to see if I can register and walk in right away. They told me to come back at 11am. So I went across the street for a drink and then returned. It was a neat experience. You walk in and use hand sanitizers and get the instructions. If you're not a member you can handle the birds directly. You get a bowl of food and later can circle back to feed the fish. Some birds are outside their cages which is fun and you get some nice photos with them. The ones who ate from my bowl seemed to only really want the apples. The bowls had a mixtures of fruits and vegetables. The ones in the cages they tell you not to take out. Why? Don't know. Flight risk? For 15 bucks a person, it was a nice way to spend a hour and hear why some birds are the way they are (you'll have to ask the workers there why and they'll gladly share stories otherwise it's mostly a independent stroll through the sanctuary). Memberships are available if interested.

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

I was tempted and seduced with a Banana Truffle, and then I needed more, more, more. We spent more on chocolates than we did touring the animals, and it was worth EVERY penny!!! The animals they have here are all rescues, and many of them have issues, but they have a loving forever home here. With the exception of the Camel and the Bison, we own many of these animals ourselves, but still enjoy interacting with and feeding them. They all were such characters. One of the Alpacas is hysterical, absolutely LOVED him/her, with the goofiest teeth. They all take the treats so nicely and have soft mouths. I got to pet a Zebra (oh yeah, we don't have one of those either). The zebra is so cool and lives in a corral with a Zorse- such a fun experience. I don't care if you already own livestock; this place is a cool spot to stop in, and if nothing else, buy yourself some of the best chocolates you will ever have. When in season, they have Emu eggs available.
