We dined in at a nearby restaurant, then walked around seeking Kona coffee. Our suite was ready around 3 PM. The suite was very spacious and I am mostly impressed with the cleanliness. The bathtub did have a ring of discoloration surrounding the drain. I gave my kids showers instead of baths to be on the safer side. I love that there are multiple pools on the resort. Although, I am disappointed that the adult pool closes at 6 PM, which all the other pools close at 9 PM. There is a private beach area, which my kids enjoyed. Beach chairs are $26 each, which are quite expensive. I appreciate the $65 per night dinning credit, which we utilized at the on site market for snacks and water. We enjoyed the brief firework show from our balcony suite. We attended the on site Huli Huli event, which was quite disappointing. I did not enjoy the food and it was pricey. $75 for skewers, corn, and shrimp. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will contemplate on a return visit in the future.

Check in wasn't bad - busy, but it's a resort so expected. The shops are nice to have near. The real issues was within the Rainbow Tower. The elevators are atrocious to deal with. Enter your floor level and it tells you what elevator to get on - you and the 8 other families with 4+ people trying to get in an elevator at the same time doesn't work. So you're stuck on your floor or the lobby for 10+ minutes waiting. Next - the smell of marijuana and cigarettes coming from nearby balconies. We notified front desk but nothing could be done. And finally? The cockroaches that scurried out from under the ice machine on the floor. The picture obviously isn't inside - but it's a cockroach nonetheless the less.

The beaches don't get that crowded, but they also have a great "kids" area with a pool and hot tub. They also have a separate adults only pool and hot tub. We ate in the on-site restaurant several times. Great food, but a little pricey. I recommend their NY stripe steak special, when available. There's a nice little Cafe with grab and go hot and cold foods. I would get breakfast there every morning. Two eggs with bacon for $5. Also nice coffee cart open daily until 11 AM. Coffee was good and they have several prep methods. Definitely do souvenir shopping in the exchange. 50-75% less than the rest of the island on the same products. Rooms are nice and clean and the staff are very attentive. Not at all what you would expect from a military resort. We also did the Friday night Prime Rib buffet. Food is definitely delicious and there's plenty of it. The dessert bar is ok, but could be better. Finally, the luau. Definitely worth the price for the activities and show. The food it ehh. It's good but the portions are small and the fish was really fishy for me. They only have one dessert and no substitution policy unless it's a food allergy. They handled my food allergy well, but no options for diabetics or gluten free, which surprised me. Still, this is definitely a five star experience!

Aloha Yelpstars, I'm a little confused by some of the Sheraton Waikiki ratings…read more Let's get into this... For my wife's bday celebration she chose to return to the Sheraton Waikiki. She last visited 5 years ago with some girlfriends and always spoke highly of the property and hotel. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for our 9 day stay. Immediately I noticed that every employee I contacted went above and beyond to greet me and make sure if I needed help they would handle my situation. Staff here from valet, pool staff, housekeeping, bell desk, hotel check in, and even landscaping are well trained and operating on a higher than 90% of hotels out there. This level of service continued from our first to last day folks. Wendy our housekeeper was awesome and remember to tip appropriately! I want to talk about a common complaint I see in the reviews. Cost. I hate to slap you in the face with this but prices aren't what they used to be. Yes, this is a very expensive property. For us, it was worth the splurge that maybe will only be done every 5 years, but there's a reason for the high price. This hotel is roughly 2,500 miles away from the continental US and in my opinion one of the best ocean front properties in the world and you have to pay for that. If you are going to complain about cost then please stay home. Everything on an island that isn't naturally there has to be shipped there. So cost is obviously higher. I was last in Waikiki in 1995 as a child. I remember it then and seeing it again now was amazing. The food, city, and the ability to rent a car and leave the city in a flash is something unique in this paradise. The Sheraton adults only pool and the views that the ocean side hotel rooms provide are unparalleled. The kids pool is also above and beyond for the under 16-year-old age group. God speed Sheraton Waikīkī, I will return.

They refused to serve us food at the pool, saying it was "dinner time" even though it was just 5 p.m. When we went inside and asked to be seated at the restaurant- they refused again, saying we didn't meet the dress code--even though it was still early evening. This was the only restaurant/dining option at the hotel, I have to take a shower change and and then I can eat something at the hotel .. where I The worst part was the extremely rude behavior from both the restaurant manager, Cassidy and another staff member, John. I told then if I change I can go outside of the hotel with lots of options and the guy (John say 2 time back to back we don't need you to come back hear , Both had an incredibly rude tone and displayed a lack of respect that should never be seen in customer service, especially from managers. After this, we left, and we couldn't enjoy the beach or pool for the rest of the day. Essentially, our entire day was ruined. A hotel should offer at least one casual dining option for guests, or they can have a section at same restaurant at least till same time as pool are open this was a huge disappointment. (0 star ) Hotel guests should be allowed to have food and beverages at anytime.

First of all, the location is great: amazingly close to the shore of Waikiki, all the great restaurants, as well as beaches. Secondly, the room: it was pretty spacious and very quiet, we did not hear any neighbors (only when they walked through the hallway) the whole time and it also had a partial ocean view. There was a small balcony enough to seat 2 people. The room was very very clean: I dropped something behind the sofa chair and when moved it, it was sparkling clean behind. It had blackout curtains, AC, large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The fridge was of good size (unlike other hotels where I have been to, where the fridge was so tiny that no leftovers fit in). Thirdly, the customer service was top notch. Absolutely no complaints about it and only gratefulness: everyone we talked to during the visit was extremely friendly and helpful (separate thanks to Joy, Angelina, Kayla and some others at the front desk who worked during the last days of May). Called for an early check in as flight landed and were told it depends on the availability. Once we made it to the hotel, by 12:15 pm were checked in, the early check in fee was waved, we were given a small bag with reusable water bottles, and were told that we will have daily $5 credit to use up. This was very nice! It allowed us to enjoy more time in Oahu on the first day. There was complimentary breakfast that slightly got switched up every morning (the pineapple was delicious!), a fitness room of an okay size, and a small pool. Also there was a microwave on the first floor with plates, spoons, tables, lots of chairs to lounge on if needed. Even the maintenance was great: when checked in, found out that one of the wall lamps were kind of loose and told the receptionist during the first day just so they are aware but they actually said it they will send someone for repairs right away. We did not necessarily need it fixed, it worked fine but it was great customer service! Also attended the free lei making class and it was fun! Make sure to call and sign up, it happens twice a week. Reccomend if in the area.

I did appreciate that they offered pool and beach towels, which was convenient. The biggest issue, and the reason I wouldn't stay here again, was the valet situation. It was basically non‑existent. By our second day, there was still no valet availability at all. We were told to try again around 11 AM, and even then, no luck. Valet is $60 a day, yet it was never actually available. Instead, they hand you a map of surrounding hotels and parking lots you can try to get into, all ranging from $45-$60 a day as well. So for our entire stay, we ended up parking at a neighboring hotel because that was our only option. As for the room, the view was mostly blocked by other hotels -- we stayed on the 10th floor -- so don't expect much scenery. It's a decent hotel, but for a Hyatt, I definitely expected more.

To make matters worse, we (friends and us) were assigned different travel advisors at NS who did not communicate with each other. Our friends and us ended up with cabins on opposite ends of the ship. We both paid for Business Class upgrades; we were booked on different airlines with different itineraries. Wrong information given to us. Communication was poor - excuses, delays and no accountability or taking responsibility. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Non-Stop Travel. If you want clear communication and a company that actually listens, look elsewhere. If you are considering an Oceania cruise, book directly with Oceania.

With that said, when I looked at the itinerary, I asked "why"? My daughter's response was "I want to see the monkeys!" I've been in the hospitality industry for a really long time. When it comes to travel, I'm always looking for a deal on everything from transportation to hotels. However, paying retail for this tour was worth the price because I was able to enjoy every moment of it without any worries at all. The tour that we signed up for was for Off the Beaten Path: A Different Side of Japan Spring Break Tour that took us to see Sado Island, Snow Monkeys, Nagoya, Hakone and Tokyo. Personally, I have been to Japan only once before, and wasn't sure of what to expect. I was more than pleasantly surprised. We flew Japan Airlines, which was wonderful and all of the hotels that we stayed at were quality locations. I have been on school group tours, but never on a regular group tour. Our tour manager, Pam Tegan was fantastic. You would never have guessed that it was her first solo tour. She took care of all of us (36 people, including kids to senior travelers). Our group was terrific because without saying, everyone understood the 'to be early is to be on time' concept. Our JTB tour guide, Nagi, shared her enthusiasm, knowledge, humor, and passion about the areas we visited. Both Pam and Nagi were professional, organized, caring and great listeners. We had specific things that we wanted to do (like going to Jin's to get prescription glasses) and they kept our requests in mind and told us about where and when on the tour would be the best for us to get what we wanted. Between Pam and Nagi, they really went above and beyond to care for each person in the group. Going on this tour in mid-March happened to be perfectly timed for most of the "gotta see" stops on the tour. The weather was great for most of the tour dates. It was cool and during the bus ride, we experienced a clear viewing of Mt. Fuji (which we were told does not happen all the time). This tour provided us with a different perspective of life in Japan outside of the tourist spots that most people talk about. We visited small towns, learned a lot about the history of Sado Island, experienced hands-on soba making, sushi making, and made inlaid wooden coasters. It was pretty amazing even for the non-crafters. One of the unexpected highlights of the tour for me was a visit to the Toyota museum. I am not into cars and couldn't help but wonder why we're stopping at a car museum. This museum shared, not just a history of Toyota, but the history of the automotive industry in Japan. For those of you who are car enthusiasts, the vehicles displayed were absolutely beautiful. It took my breath away. On the other side of the activities, of course we were in Japan so there was a lot of walking. My family was not looking forward to the 30 minute walk from the bus to the gate of the snow monkey park. But I have to tell you, it was worth the hike. The hike was picturesque and the path was gradual for the most part. The weather was ideal for the snow monkeys to make their way to the onsen. It was a delightful experience. Yes there was shopping but the charm of this tour was the back roads experience, dressing in kimonos, three kaiseki meals and of course, deep soaks in onsens. We were also blessed with sharing time with amazing families on the tour. The icing on the cake was we had a professional photographer traveling as part of our group. We shared our pictures via an app called photo circle. Although my photos were OK, we were able to also see all of the wonderful pictures that he took as well. The bus rides were a little longer than I expected, but there were a lot of rest stops and good food along the way. For me, this trip did exactly what it was supposed to ... take my mind off of work and the stress of every day. I was able to enjoy my family and meet wonderful new people. As we landed back in Hawaii and said goodbyes, I took many incredible memories with me that will last for a very long time. How much did we really enjoy the trip? We are already planning a trip in 2026 with Non-stop and Pam as our tour manager.

When we arrived, we sure did not expect what we walked into..... Once arrived, parking was for a compact we had a sedan. Who goes to hawaii to rent a compact? Elevator smelled moldy- health hazard & definitely breaking a lot of codes. Room smelled of smoke. Rusted medicine cabinet, Mold on the shower curtain, shampoo was half full- just one set for 2 ppl, all the bathroom amenities were in the bathroom cabinet floor, not on the counter like the picture, Medicine cabinet qas rusted, blow dryer did not work. One bed had a skirt that was dirty, other bed had no skirt.  Closet carpet looks like it has never been vacuumed and smelled stuffy and the safe had a lot of rust on it. Cable did Not work, tried to schedule someone to take a look at it over the phone. We gave a time and had to tell them we do Not want anyone coming in while we are not there. They were not able to find 'local' help nor bothered to reschedule when we asked if someone was on thier way. Never rcvd parking pass even though we informed them to just slip it under the door.  Parking pass was supposed to be w the person who would help w the cable. So much more disappointment...we did send our concerns to Vacasa Guest services with pictures. We decided to only use the refrigerator and keep things to the areas we wiped down. This tower is a health risk and am sure it has a lot of code violations. For the $95-99/4 nites it came out ~$800 NOT including parking another ~$140. You are better off booking w hotels.com or rabbit or expedia. For the same price you would NOT pay $800 AND you would have clean, healthier rooms/ building AND customer service on site. We did report quite a few MORE things and took pictures and did send them to Vacasa but no type of compensation for any of the inconveniences. One of the replies were, "I  have reached out to the local staff for your concern. Rest assured that this will be rectified." We assure readers- a day after the trip this had NOT been rectified. There does not seem to be remodeling going on. The elevator requires your room key for an added layer of security. Front desk was welcoming every day as you came in, normally with the generic "welcome back" but nice not to be ignored. The rooms have the electronic key if you prefer. The cleaning happened every other day, so if you drink their room coffee, they only put one out. Recommend they place 2, otherwise you have to find a cleaning lady to get more coffee and cups. The only issues I had in the room was that the toilet seat almost fell off, there was dirt under the desk area and a shower bottle needed to be replaced. Understand the staff probably has only so long per room, but these small details can be an issue to other missed items. Lastly, the bed was not as soft as other Marriott hotels.
