For entrees, we got the chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, and Dal makhani. The CTM is good and standard, the biryani is flavorful, and the dal has good flavor with good textured lentils. I have been coming here for the last 16 or so years. LOVE this restaurant and their food. Last time I dined there, about a month or so ago, I had the Chicken Tikka Marsala, and my friend had the lamb. I love their basmati rice as well as their their naan. Ordered delivery from Punjab Palace and was not disappointed. The palak paneer, garlic naan, and samosas were all delicious. The samosa order comes with two samosas and they're definitely good in size. I'm not sure if the online menu (Doordash) is confusing or if I was under a hunger-induced confusion spell (is that a thing?!), but just so you're all aware: the entrees include rice. The online menu is a bit confusing because once you select your entree, it asks if you want to add a side, including basmati rice. Nom nom nom. First this was delicious, however door dash took TWO HOURS so I was hangry when I dug in and can't in good conscience give a five star with hangry eating. Keema Nan and Keema Pratha were standard good - 3 stars. Husband had Chicken Madras and consumed 75% of it and a vegetable samosa. He gave the chicken madras 3.5 stars because it exploded with flavor. The Samosa gets 4 stars from him due to flavor and the dough. I thought there was too much dough and meh flavor. Lamb Shahi Koorma was delicious. The sauce was as expected hot/spicy and creamy and perfect for a winter night. I liked all the flavors and spices, but I think they could have kicked it up a little, I'm always afraid to ask for more. There is a fine line between spicy and nuclear explosion spicy. The lamb was really what pushed this to a 4 star range. It was delightful. Not chewy, could cut it with my fork. And there was a lot of it. And it tasted like lamb, many times I find the flavor is lost in the spice. Not here! All in we will return. Utterly disappointed. We were in town for NE track and field championships. Decided to order take out on the way back to NH. Wife went in to pick up order while I was double parked. She waited to be helped by the guy handing out takeout orders. A woman walked in behind her, and the counter guy helped that woman first. Then, a second woman entered, and again the guy asked her how he could help, ignoring my wife. At that point, my wife realized she was being ignored and asked firmly "I don't know if you see me, but I also have an order here". I got Chicken Vindaloo which was a good spice level (medium). Chicken Tikka Masala mild was not spicy at all and that's what my friend wanted. It has a good taste with a bit of sweet towards the end. Buffets are always something else, no matter the quality at least you know you're getting a bang for your buck. This place does buffet style Northern inspired Indian Food with authentic flavors a few days a week. The food is hardly fresh, however it is usually pretty warm which is dope. We were seated immediately on a Thursday evening, and ordered vegetable samosas for our appetizers. Additionally, we were served chips (not pictured) along with 3 types of sauces. The 2 of us decided to get different meat dishes with basmati rice and share. The lamb masala (mild) was creamy and tangy, with some spice. The garlic chicken was savory and very flavorful. I ordered the Aloo Chole with medium spice from the lunch special menu and the garlic nan... OMG, so good!!! The chick peas and potatoes were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. Even the nan was cooked to perfection (I've had burned nan at other Indian restaurants, or it wasn't cooked enough and tasted doughy). I didn't order meat today but the chick peas were so good I didn't feel like I was missing anything with my lunch. I have to mention the rice, I'm very picky when it comes to rice, some places make it too soft or too hard but it was cooked very well and had some flavoring as well, which is a plus. Some of the favorites include the chicken korma which has tender pieces of chicken in a delicious korma sauce, the rice pullao which is a cumin flavored rice mixed with vegetables and their naan which is extremely soft. My one complaint is the specialty naan's like the aloo doesn't really have much stuffing - so will likely stick to the regular/garlic naan. read more

I feel that majority of the takeout is from students who don't really understand what true Indian food is. We were seated quickly but this is where everything ends. We placed our appetizer and dinner order. The appetizer (Chicken Tikka) came out fairly quickly. The Chicken Tikka was probably the worst that I have had. Our dinner didn't come out for over an hour because the staff forgot our order. At one point the waiter came to our table, took our plates and started to clean the table until we told him that we were still waiting for our dinner. When we inquired how long it will take, we were told only few more minutes. After 30 minutes we were finally served dinner. Waiting for an hour you expect the entrees to blow you away but not here. The restaurant is pretty small, with no real area to wait for take-out or to wait to be seated, so it could be a little drafty with the door opening and closing. This is about the delivery time, not the food. They say it will take 35-45min to deliver but when you actually order the food, after waiting a while, the estimated delivery time becomes 60-90min. Even worse, after waiting long enough, we checked with them and they said it would arrive in 25min at max, it took them 40min. People sometimes order food solely based on the delivery time, and their delivery time is misleading.
