I have been coming to Pup Scrub for years. I love their professionalism, understanding and obvious love for dogs. Keisha has always been the groomer to handle my very old dog who gets quite anxious about grooming. She always does such a great job. Recently, Keisha has been away and my dog had gotten quite matted. Jackie, the owner, suggested one of her new groomers, Tang, who she said was very good and could deal with an old, anxious dog. Tang did an outstanding job! She was so sensitive to my dog and very concerned about keeping her comfortable at all times. I was completely impressed and my dog looked amazing. I've been going to Pup Scrub for 4 years now and I'm so glad I found them! Taking your little ones to the groomer can be very stressful for them and for me (believe me, we've unfortunately had our share of bad groomers -- cuts, blood, or it would take 8 hours!), but I have no worries when I bring them into Pup Scrub. Since day one, they have been very attentive with my girls and I know they are in good hands. Shelly, Melissa, and the staff are great. They keep the store spotless and organized. And their head groomer, Keisha, is AMAZING! She is very gentle with the girls, does a wonderful job. She is very thorough with the grooming and they look great every time. And I feel good knowing that when I bring the girls in, that they are being attended to right away -- they are not waiting hours in a kennel before the grooming starts. Like clockwork, within 2 hours my girls are finished, smelling freshly cleaned, trimmed, and they always have a bandana or ribbon on them corresponding to the holiday or season. It's a nice touch (and my girls now have a wardrobe of bandanas that we can always go to for those occasions!). And it's so funny that when I come to pick up my girls, they never want to leave! I have to drag them out...seriously! It's great that I have a neighborhood groomer that we can walk to that is so professional, thorough, and caring. I never have to worry at Pup Scrub. I can't say enough nice things about Keisha and the team. If Keisha ever left, I'm not sure what I would do! In the 45+ groomings that we have had at Pup Scrub, I've never had one issue. Note: I always do make an appointment well in advance every 4 weeks to make sure Keisha is available for me, as she is in high demand especially during the holidays. I've never done walk-in (not even sure they have that option as she books up quickly) and I've never used the self-service, though from what I can tell, the space is well laid out and very clean...and always packed, so they must be doing something right! Another bonus: their full-service grooming prices are very reasonable. When I moved to Kirkland 4 yrs ago from L.A., I called a number of Kirkland groomers and they all were asking almost double than what I pay at Pup Scrub (and even double what I was paying down in Hollywood). Best groomer ever! I brought in my 4 month old puppy for a hair cut and after explaining to the groomer what I wanted done (bath, hair cut, nail trim) she told me that since it was his first time she didn't want to stress him out and that she wanted to start slow, with a bath and blow dry, nail trim and she'd see if he was up to a full cut. I really appreciated how open she was about what she was planning on doing and how she asked if I was okay with it. It's clear that they have the dogs best interest in mind here! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. I absolutely LOVE pup scrub, and I will tell you why. Having a dog that does not do very well at the groomers, I have frequented probably 5 or 6 groomers/spas within the area, and none of them come anywhere near PupScrub. They are extremely professional, very clean and tidy (I HATE a gross and dirty shop), and the staff are all very knowledgable and friendly. I came in with my pup, was given a quick tour, and then immediately brought over to a 'self wash station', an idea I love because I feel that no one can handle my own dog as well as I can, while still being able to use all the best products, a professional water system, and a high powered dryer as well. They gave me three bottles - a lavender body wash, a sensitive face wash, and an oatmeal conditioner after asking me if she had any skin dryness or anything.. even asking me if she had any allergies to anything before hand! My dog was a giant pain in the ass as always, but the girls were nice, patient, offered great advice and seemed to do a good job at calming her down, even though I was doing the 'self wash' anyway! I also had them do a nail trim.. It was fast and cheap - about 10 bucks. The vet charges me like $29.99 and has the dog back there for like 15 minutes!? Long story short, if you haven't given PupScrub a try, you are definitely missing out. Great prices, great location, typically no wait time, you can't go wrong. I will definitely be back! read more

My name is Teddy Boy and I am a four year old black lab. I have been going to Pup Scrub all my life and I love it. Dad uses the self serve ad we always have fun especially when I do a hard shake when I am all suds-up (it flies everywhere) and Dad laughs hard. It's a good thing he wears the water proof apron they provide. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The make sure I get my favorite shampoo and a no tears one for my face and a great oatmeal conditioner that feels great and and my mom says leaves my black coat really shinny. And they are the best at cutting my nails. When they do it they are so fast and gentle its over before I know it an then I get a treat, yea! I started going to Pup Scrub when I was puppy because my older sister Emmy went there since it opened and I m glad I got to go too. Emmy loved it to an taught me to wag my tail hard whenever we went through the front door. Emmy said "you're black lab and it's ok to just let people see how happy you are to see them." I scheduled an appointment for my dog Charlie, a lhasa apso, who was matted pretty heavily in at least three or four spots and his fur was far too long for the hot and humid weather of the summer (plus his nails needed a trim.) My groomer did an amazing job! And they did not charge me an arm and a leg! I also happened to walk out after paying and left my debit card on the counter and my groomer ran out to give it to me. The woman who manned the cashier when I entered and called me when it was time to pick up my dog was extremely courteous and kind, as well as my groomer. I can't sing their praises enough! They have really nice walk-in do-it-yourself wash stations that are very affordable but I would really recommend their professional grooming services (which are equally affordable.) It's based on the work needed and size of your dog, I presume, but my dog's grooming was quoted at over $150 at PetSmart (no, I am not kidding!) and at least $80 at other places. I have been taking my 2 dogs to pup scrub for over 5 years. They do such an excellent job! You can see their love for the animals right when you walk in the door. They have excellent customer service and great prices. I get so many compliment on my dogs after they have been groomed. Jennifer usually grooms my dogs...but others have in the past...they are all great! My little doggies like to be near each other, one of them has a bit of anxiety. So they always accommodate and bathe and groom them together and also put them in the kennel together once they are done. Fast service also! My dog was groomed here on 5/12/2012. I live across the street from this store. The day that I brought my Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier in for grooming, I was met by Hannah. She wasn't friendly. When Meka was fearful about walking to the back with her, Hannah dragged her there. At the time I picked Meka up, I asked Hannah if she had any problems, to which she answered that there was a little matting. The staff person who was trying to collect my payment couldn't find the code for my dog's breed in the rate book, so after serveral minutes, she called over Hannah who told her to look for "soft coated..." and that the price would be $10 more than the one in the book and the rate quoted to my wife, without an explanation. I was so disgusted by the experience, I didn't want to hassle with it, so I just paid and left. A couple of days later, I learned from my vet that my dog had an ear infection, which was likely brought about by the staff not having plucked and dried her ears as expected. Before posting this review, I complained to the owner, via e-mail, and asked for her to respond. I didn't receive a response, so it was necessary to post this rating and review to Yelp. read more

My dog Dublin has been going to Pup Scrub for about 2 years and I thought everything was great. My dog has anxiety issues. Before they started grooming him the groomer was aware of the issues. He doesn't get aggressive just shuts down. They notified me while trying to make an appointment that they could no longer take my dog due to his anxiety issues. I am not upset that they feel like they are not qualified enough to deal with anxiety issues. I am upset because for 2 years they never said anything about it being an issue. I was also confused on the issues they were telling me. I was always early to pick him up and he was ALWAYS behaving on the table while they finished him up. When I was talking to the lady she also stated last time he was sedated and it caused him to have diarrhea. I then asked her WHO sedated him??? I have NEVER sedated my dog before. She then started stumbling on exactly what she was going to say. THEY SEDATED MY DOG with out my permission got caught and then lied about it when I confronted them. Do not bring your dog here for grooming if they have anxiety issues. They could be sedating your dogs without your permission. read more

First time here today. Brought in my 14 year Shitzu Lucy who had just received a incomplete haircut from another groomer in town. Other groomer had said Lucy would not let her complete the haircut. If you think Pup Scrub is not for you, let me tell you about going to Tia's and Boo Boo Boutique. At each of those "wonderful" dog spas I paid over $80+ and got very ordinary grooms. One even included a trim "burn." At Tia's you have to leave your dog for about 3 hours and every service seems to come with an additional $5 fee. The Boo Boo blueberry facial and foot soak didn't compensate for a very ordinary groom. Even though you think you're getting the best, you may not. All places have their off days. At least Pup Scrub is priced well and they honor time appointments. read more

We recently moved the area and after doing some research decided on PupScrub for our first shot at finding a groomer for our somewhat skittish Rhodesian. I have to say that we were very happy with how they handled him! The lady at the front desk was very kind when we made the appointment, and even recognized him by name when we brought him in for his grooming. While doing the drop off we explained to the groomer the best way that we have found to do his nails. She was very receptive, and actually listened to us. That meant the world to us because we know how difficult our dog can be to do his nails. When we picked him up he didn't seem scared or upset, just happy to see us. My dog and I are first timers are Pup Scrub but we are very familiar with the self serve dog wash concept. We thought we would try this one out. Upon arriving, we weren't exactly greeted, just shown to a tub. I guess they assumed we weren't rookies. The facility had hair (and not a small amount but gobs of hair) flying in all directions- going into my mouth and eyes. The gal apologized, but no one during our time there attempted to clean things up. I put my dog into the tub and chose an oatmeal shampoo, but the smell wasn't great. Luckily I brought my own. The tubs are large and adequate, but at 5'8" they seemed low to the ground and I had to hunch over the whole time. They only had one forced air dryer on hand, so when it came time I had to go interrup the gal at the front desk who was in the middle of eating lunch if I could unplug it from one side of the room and bring it over. She was nice about it, but com'mon! One dryer!? Anyway, we finished up and upon paying I decided to buy a treat out of the baked goods case. My 'very food motivated' dog LEFT IT on the ground! It was stale and apparently didn't have any appeal. And it cost over $2.50-what a waste. As I said before, we frequent these type of places a lot and we were left wanting more from 'Pup Scrub'. This is a groomer I would truly recommend. I have an older dog who is getting grumpy and snippy. They are patient and accommodative to his moods. Wylie has extremely thick, curly hair and many groomers have shaved him, even thought he was not matted, just to make make a point and try to make me bring him in more often. I have been reading some of the negative reviews. Much of what they said, I could say of other groomers. His last groomer refused to take him back because he snapped. At 14 years old, Wylie can be touchy. The groomer at Pet Scrub took the time to know him and and knows to put a nuzzle on him when she does his feet. He hates to have his feet touched. Once nuzzled he accepts the care and is fine. At others he would try to turn away at the door but here he goes right in. Dogs know best. I would absolutely recommend Pet Scrub. They are not as snooty and judgmental as many groomers. read more

After moving to the Bellevue area I needed to find a great groomers for my pup.. She had a regular groomer where we lived before and I was very very reluctant to take her anywhere else, but not willing to drive 2 hrs away.. I set out reading the yelp reviews on local groomers.. After much review I decided to try Pup Scrub. My dog is like my child.. I was probably more nervous leaving her than she was about being there. I dropped her off and had a consultation with her groomer Kesha, which I never had at her old groomers. I was told it would take about an hour and a half. I decided to walk around the nearby shops and after about an hour got a call that she was done.. Only an hour!!! When I arrived my lil girl looked the best she has ever looked and was so happy!! The whole staff was amazing w her!! If your looking for an amazing groomer that really cares about your dog try Pup Scrub! My dog now has a new groomer! Thank you so much Kesha and Pup Scrub!
