Pretty solid Neapolitan pizza. This was around 18 dollars for an 11-inch pizza cut into 4 slices. The crust was soft and pillowy and the pizza had a nice chew. I thought the red sauce tasted a little bland and needed a bit more salt or oregano but that's a personal preference. When I went it was pretty quiet and there weren't a lot of patrons. The staff were friendly and they let me know that they have a special deal on Sundays during football season so I will be back to try some other flavors. read more

Went last night for the first time and the service and atmosphere were perfect. Kevin was so friendly and attentive. But the pizza was soggy. It's not just that is wasn't crispy -- we can get down with a chewy dough! We got the sausage and onion and a margherita and both were soggy flops (especially the former). This is one of the closest pizzas in taste and texture to the neapolitan pizza in Italy, and they use certified ingredients and oven. It's part of a local chain, and having been to the original location in Arlington many times, I appreciated that this food was just as good! The buffalo mozzarella and sauteed mushrooms were amazing toppings for the perfect soft and chewy crust. The cooking staff all wear red hats with black bands - I'm sure there's a meaning for this but I couldn't locate it. Otherwise, it looks cool. Everyone was friendly. Our appetizer was the Garlic & Melted Mozzarella Bread. We waited longer than expected to receive this and when it arrived it had cooled. A little cracked red pepper and it was pretty good. We went with the pep to share because if a pizza joint can't produce a good pep... The crust was thin and although a single pizza is intended for one person, two slices each was enough for us. A pizza place in an repurposed Pizza Hut, that works! They have personalized the space and it's fairly fun. Sitting at the bar you can view a varying loop of pretty places in Italy. We really love the authentic Italian pizza they serve. So much better than we've become accustomed to in the US. Wide selection of topping, some not typical but very good. And every month or so a seasonal offering that has been fun and tasty. Servers and Management have been quite friendly and helpful. They have various special offers posted on social media that frequently tempt us. They also have a rewards program that is fairly generous as well. They had a very good Happy Hour, however they just recently changed it and it's not so good. They did not post the change of social media, so the change was an unwelcomed surprise change. Overall: kind service, casual ambiance, fun bar menu, fine pizza, prices on the higher side, inclusive restrooms We got there early on a weeknight and were able to be seated right away, but the place was surprisingly hopping for having just opened. The servers were kind and attentive. Drinks and appetizers came out fast. I wasn't allowed to add anything to my pizza which was a little upsetting. The drink menu had lots of fun options- even a flight! My partner and I enjoyed our spritzers and they came in nice wine glasses. The meatballs were pretty lame. The pizzas were okay. Flavors were good, but they were super flimsy and required two hands to eat. It might have helped if they were cut into more than 4 pieces. I wish they had a smaller and cheaper kids pizza option. The pizza was very tasty and I could tell the ingredients were fresh. The dining room was clean and probably a third full. I think the total was a little less $13 and was totally worth it. I have been waiting for this Pupatella to open up near me as I used to go to the Arlington location when worked in DC. I got the Filetti and while it was good it was pretty wet. The crust was just amazing but the middle of the pizza that sort of suffered under the liquid of the tomatoes. The taste however was great so lesson learned to stick to mainly just cheese. We also got the Brussels Sprout appetizer and it was fantastic. My husband enjoyed the house made mango lemonade. I found the seating in the restaurant to be a little uncomfortable and lacking in something I cannot put my finger on. It's not someplace you would linger. I guess I felt very exposed the entire time. That said, our server was super sweet and the other servers all seemed to work as a team. It was a little pricey also, but what is not these days. I've been to this location on several different occasions. Compared to the Mosaic Fairfax, VA location, the Columbia location has staff that does not know how to properly get the pizza crust right. Everytime I've gone, they serve the pizza with a slightly raw dough crust. The portions are smaller compared to Fairfax location, such as the Arancini appetizer. Arancini at Columbia location as so tiny, that the price of the item is not justified. I've lived in Napoli, I know what they should taste like, and I know good Napoletano style pizza. read more

Katie was our very friendly server who gave us her truthful opinions on the pizzas and desserts. We had the meatball red pizza and the mushroom white pizza, both very yummy. Then took home the "funnel cake" type Nutella dessert (forgot the name, a Kate recommendation) and shared a double scoop of pistachio gelato that wasn't too pistachio flavorful and no nuts.
