Once the shop opened, we learned the entire operation was being run by one heroic human that morning. One. A whole grooming shop held together by sheer willpower and caffeine. After we explained Sawyer's situation, this absolute saint of a groomer didn't just agree to trim his nails -- she offered to clean him up for a small fee, with the kind of patience and warmth that could calm a tornado. Minutes later, out strutted a brand‑new dog. Freshly trimmed, nails immaculate, tail wagging like he'd just won a beauty pageant. I tipped more than I planned, but honestly, it still wasn't enough. She earned every penny with her kindness, her skill, and that unwavering smile that said, "Yes, I am single‑handedly keeping this place running, and no, you will not see me break." I wish I remembered her name, but I'll never forget the impression she made. I typically drop her off in the morning and within 4 to 5 hours they call me and tell me she is ready sometimes shorter than that even She's always looked really great They used to be in the shopping center off of Wood Street but now they're down just a tiny little bit walking distance behind the Ace Hardware I completely recommend this shop for Grooming, they have patience. They do a good job and the price is average for a big dog groom.

Unfortunately, he has also experienced an extraordinary number of serious health problems. These have included panosteitis, TPLO surgery, severe hotspots that became large and ulcerated (we paid dearly for a dog dermatologist and for specialized light therapies to heal his skin), pancreatitis, dietary issues requiring lifelong expensive special food, discoid lupus erythematosus, and optic nerve hypoplasia that has left him blind in one eye since birth. It feels like every time we finally identify and learn how to manage one chronic condition, another one appears. His medical care has easily exceeded the already high cost of purchasing him. Prospective buyers should be aware of our experience. Our king GSD is a lovely dog, but it has been heartbreaking to watch him suffer through so many painful and expensive medical problems.
