We purchased him when he was only 8 weeks old and we cannot see our lives without him. He's cost us essentially nothing in medical bills and he's excellent with children, especially small children. I EXAMINED puppies purchased from many such places and this one DOES sounds familiar. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PET STORES!!! In so doing, you are supporting PUPPY MILLS! If you are unfamiliar with PUPPY MILLS, PLEASE GOOGLE and find out about them! They are HORRIBLE, generally KEEPING DOGS IN SMALL FILTHY CAGES ALL THE TIME. These puppy mill "breeders," do NOT Care about the DOGS they breed OR the health of the puppies produced! I can tell you that the puppies often have congenital problems which ANY REPUTABLE breeder would be trying to breed OUT of their line/ population. The puppies may look cute, what puppy doesn't, but I know from a breeder friend that they will use another dog's papers for several dogs and a Shi Tzu actually may be a Lhasa Apso, or vice versa. People mistakenly believe that "the papers" can't be forged. The papers are only as good as the person's reputation. I often saw obvious mixed breeds that were purchased as purebreds. Mind you, I have NO PROBLEM with mixed breed dogs. They have "hybrid vigor" and are healthier, generally. They usually have nice temperaments too. My phrase is that "they get the best of both worlds". What I DO have a problem with is LYING and selling puppies for unwarranted high prices. I DO have a problem with puppy mills lying and not caring about the dogs they sell and selling dogs SOLEY for the $$$$/profit and not caring about the horrible lack of any care for the parents OR the health of the puppies. I know that they may say that the puppies were driven down and not flown, etc., and SEEM like they are nice, but there are good actors out there. DO NOT BE DECEIVED! REPUTABLE BREEDERS do NOT SELL TO PET STORES. THEY HAVE A NAME FOR THEIR KENNEL OR FACILITY THAT THEY ARE PROUD OF, AND STRIVE TO MAINTAIN A GREAT REPUTATION. The best ones often have a waiting list for their dogs. To get the opportunity to have one of their dogs, you almost always need to agree to neutering the pet you buy. (Neutering can apply to either a female dog or a male dog.) This is because they do not want their puppies being used for breeding, possibly to a male/female with medical problems. Reputable breeders are what you want and they require things from you, as they should. They are concerned about their puppies and how they will be taken care of. They care about breeding negative genetic conditions out of their line. UNLESS YOU WANT TO ADD TO THE DEMAND AND MAKE "THE PARENTS" LIVE UNTIL THEY CAN'T BREED ANY MORE, ALONE TRAPPED IN CAGES WITH NO HUMAN CONTACT OR CARE. I can't believe I'm reading all these negative reviews in which most say to just "adopt". First of all... its not anyone's decision but the buyer's if they want to adopt or buy a pure bred puppy that hasn't been in a cage and depressed in a shelter for who knows how long. I understand the value of giving a dog like that a good home, but it doesn't fit in every circumstance. When my lab of 5 years suddenly passed away, my family was out of the country and arriving in one week. Just for me to go home knowing my daughter was gone was heartbreaking and I couldn't allow my family to feel that pain upon their arrival. I searched for dogs left and right, options to adopt and buy. I came across Puppies To Go and from the first conversation with them I knew I was in good hands. I purchased a beautiful Golden Retriever, we named her Lua. My wife and daughters went from tears from our loss to tears of joy. Nothing will ever replace our Lab, but Lua was an inspiration. A day or 2 after arriving home Lua had a cough and runny nose. Upon taking her to the vet to get her shots and checkup, the vet informed us that IT WAS COMPLETELY NORMAL FOR THE DOG TO GET SICK DUE TO CHANGE OF ENVIRONMENT. But I will tell you... what an incredibly beautiful and smart dog she is. Potty trained in 2 days, and already learned sit! STAY AWAY!!!! Worst costumer service EVER. The girl that came out from the back was extremely rude. I went with my boyfriend and she was saying the slickest remarks. They only had a few puppies in the displays for the public to view when we asked if "This is all they had"she answered, "why you want more?"... and told us "well there's more in the back..." We get to the back... let me tell you there was a nebulizer, dogs crammed in tiny cages, a dog all the way in the back with a missing an eye. When you get close to the cages the puppies had feces in between there nails and they were dirty. IT REEKED OF URINE. Disgusting. The girl didn't bring out any of the puppies for us to see them. The puppy I bought here in August of 2017 was sick. 2 days after I brought him home he almost died of pneumonia and of course, since it was a birthday present for my son, I ended up spending thousands of dollars on him, because how do I tell my 4 year old the new puppy died?! I decided to write a review today because I read a disturbing message on Facebook from a previous customer of puppies to go, that experienced the exact same thing I did. After two weeks of owning the lemon beagle I purchased from puppies to go, he became sick. He wouldn't eat anything. Severe Weight loss. Dry nose, but runny. Slept a lot. Tired all the time. I of course immediately took him to Cabrera animal hospital. He was immediately diagnosed with distemper. A puppy does not survive distemper. No matter how early on you catch it. I however spent two weeks fighting for my puppies life. I incurred thousands of dollars in medical bills. After two weeks, my dog became brain-dead, and I unfortunately had to put him to sleep. It has been nine years, and to this day, I could not walk into another pet store, and in good conscious buying another puppy. If you're looking to buy a puppy, please go to your nearest animal shelter. Or you can even Google animal rescuers, who only rescue certain breeds that you may be interested in. I went to puppies to go and demand my money back! I even send them a demand letter from an attorney, and that didn't get through to them. I sued puppies to go and WON! I got every single dollar that I spent back! I hope if you're reading this, it's not too late, and you don't ever purchased a puppy from them. But if you have, and you're in the unfortunate situation that I and many have been in, sue them! You will win! At the time I was too young and naïve to realize that the Miami Dade community does have the power to shut them down. And this is exactly what I am going to start working on. This review is coming after 8 YEARS of telling family and friends to stay away from this place. I never thought about putting my story on Yelp. But after telling yet another friend about what happened with my dog today, I feel that it's time to make this story public. If you're considering buying from Puppies to Go, it may change your mind and, hopefully, your heart. I apologize ahead of time for the long post, but this is necessary. In 2008, I was outside of my house in Schenley Park near the Gables, when a car pulled up to talk to my former roommate, who was outside as well. They told him that they had found a stray dog, but that they didn't live around the area. So, they were either going to leave him with someone who does live around there so that they could find his owners, or they were going to take him to the shelter. My former roommate decided to take him, but when they handed the dog over to him, we noticed that he was freshly bathed, had a haircut, and was wearing a collar and leash. He didn't look like a stray at all. Either way, we took him, and that afternoon, I took him to Red Bird Animal Clinic down the street to scan for a chip. His chip was registered to this place, Puppies to Go. I called the shop to see if they had a record of who they sold him to, and they said that "after a year, they discard the records." The vet estimated that the dog was about a year old, give or take, so I really don't know if the shop was lying to me. Either way, we put up an ad on Craigslist with his picture and we posted signs, trying to find his owners, but no one responded. After about a week or two, no one had claimed the dog, and I had fallen in love with him. He was a beautiful, blonde cocker spaniel with a really loving demeanor, and I couldn't picture parting with him anymore. We named him "Charlie," and I decided to keep him. Pretty soon thereafter, we noticed that Charlie had blood in his stool. So, we went back to Red Bird Animal Clinic to have the same vet check him out. Turns out, Charlie had heart worms, stomach worms, an advanced ear infection, and a skin infection! He also had a bite mark on the top of his right ear that looked to be infected. Charlie needed MAJOR life-saving treatment, and the vet had a big talk with me to prepare me for Charlie's death (which he believed was almost certain at this point). I told the vet that I couldn't afford the thousands upon thousands of dollars that it would take to even TRY to save Charlie with the little chances he had. Considering that he knew Charlie was a rescue, and that he knew my circumstances, he gave me big discounts and a payment plan to give Charlie a shot at life. Charlie had to go through weeks, sitting in a cage without movement so that his heart wouldn't get out of control. He went through so many doctor visits, medicines, x-rays, needle pricks, biopsies, stool samples... I can't even tell you how many. But thankfully, after all of that hard work, that vet saved his life. Charlie was exhausted, and so was my pocketbook, but I didn't care. Charlie made it. I have now had Charlie for 8 wonderful years. He'll be approx. 9 years old in April, and he has a clean bill of health. I said before that the vet saved Charlie's life, but he really saved mine, too. This boy has been a life-changing miracle for me. I always tell people that he fell out of the sky and onto my lap during a difficult time in my life so that I would have someone to look after and love. Without having him during that time period, I really don't know where I would be, but I know my life wouldn't be as good as it is right now. Looking back, my former roommate and I really believe that the people who were handing him over to us on the side of the road were his family who bought him from this shop. They probably couldn't afford Charlie's treatment, and they probably thought handing him over to someone else was better than putting him down. If our suspicions are correct, I just can't imagine what that family went through with this disgusting place. This shop has some NERVE allowing its animals to get sick and not caring about them AT ALL, just to be able to sell pure-breds to people who are willing to pay top dollar for them. Each and every time I see the scar above Charlie's ear, I can only imagine other puppies in this infested, dirty, overcrowded kennel, crawling all over each other and biting each other (because that's where one of the vet techs thinks that injury came from). If you're still reading, thank you for sticking with this post all the way through. And PLEASE, instead of going to horrible, unethical places like this one, PLEASE ADOPT from animal services! My Charlie could've ended up there after starting out at a place like this. Charlie was lucky, but other beautiful, loving deserving animals won't be as fortunate! He picked out a little pocket beagle "Rocky" , which we all fell in love with. The first day at our house we noticed that Rocky had a weird cough and then he started having diarrhea, so with growing concern we took our new puppy to the vet. Now that it's been a month since we bought the puppy, I thought it was good timing to write a review. 1. Place is impeccably clean which was a relief of how well maintained it is. I know some people complained about not being allowed to see the back room which is crazy that you would even ask, it's like asking BK to see their back kitchen- no, it's for employees only. I did take a peek when they opened the door and it looked just as clean 2. Everyone was so nice and let us play with a lot of puppies before choosing one without any pressure, attitude, Etc 3. They gave us all paperwork, tips, and explained everything well enough to understand their warranties and what to do / not to do with the puppy such as not bathing him for 3 more weeks, not walking him outside, and taking him to vet within 3 days. 4. We didn't use their vet Bc of my hesitations within reviews plus we wanted one close to home. The vet said he was perfect. Gave us similar advice as the pet store Bc Yorkie's are little, their immune system is still vulnerable. A month later (yay!) he's still perfect, finally got a bath (he got really stinky!), we can take him places (carried for the most part) and he's happy. Six months ago I purchased an 8 week old female english bulldog from this place. Ideally she was purchased as a family pet and so that I may breed her with another family member english bulldog and keep their puppies in the family. After a few days of having her at home, I noticed she had kennel cough and green discharge from her nose, when I called Puppies to go and asked if the vet THEY recommended would be able to see her right away, the response I got was "SHE IS JUST A DOG AND THIS WILL PASS DON'T MAKE IT A BIG DEAL". Seeing how UNPROFESSIONAL they are, I took my dog to a vet referred by a family friend and found she not only had kennel cough but she had anemia, and had an infection in her blood that needed immediate medication in order to save her. Few months have gone by and my puppy is now 8 months old. She is about to get her period and I noticed she began developing small rashes on her skin. I immediately took her to the vet to find out she has Demodectic mange. Demodectic mange is caused by a mite, that infects the hair follicles. This condition is only noticeable when the puppy goes into heat, their immune system goes down and the mites begin to attack her skin. Pups pick up these mites from their mother when they are nursing. Treatment for my pup is a series of injections and dips that eventually after time will shorten her life span due to the strength of the medicine and its effects on her pancreas and liver. Since the mites only attack when she is in heat, I have no choice but to spay her so that they do not attack her again. After seeing my pup go through so much and now finding out I cant breed her and her life span being shortened, I called Puppies to go again to inform them of my dogs condition and let them know the litter of puppies they sold were all sick, all I got were excuses and the cold shoulder, and the fact that they dont what conditin the puppies will come out in after they are sold. My pup is only 8 months old ! They dont care about the dogs they sell. When I purchased my pup they were quick to sell her to me and get me out the door stating they keep all records of the puppies parents and can guarantee they sell puppies that are in good health. I guess they failed to noticed that the mother of my pup was missing hair and had a skin condition when they purchased that litter. Do not purchase from this store. We purchased a Havanese puppy on Saturday 11/26 and she seemed a little sad, but overall fine and was running around once we got home. Monday morning we woke up at 5am and our puppy was rapidly breathing, abnormally warm and had diarrhea. We couldn't drive two hours to their specified vet in Miami because of how bad our puppy was looking. Once we got to the vet and after several tests we were told by our local and reputable vet that our puppy had Coccidia, Canine COVID, Kennel cough and Pneumonia. Their Miami vet had supposedly cleared the puppy as "healthy" on 11/21 so either that was total bullshit or the way they're keeping their puppies is completely unhealthy and left our puppy with these illnesses. Once we reached out to Puppies to go they were pushing us to take her to their vet, but how can we trust this person when obviously the puppy we had for less than 48 hours fell ill under their watch and they obviously had no clue or did not care enough. It's been over a week now that our puppy has been on antibiotics and her breathing is still not normal and she has a frightening cough. We paid $3200 for this puppy and even more due to the vet expenses. I can't tell you how saddening this experience has been seeing this 9 week old puppy suffering. We are praying she will be okay. Spare yourselves the stress and do not purchase from this store. They have yet to get back to me regarding our reimbursement of the vet expenses and based off the reviews I've read on this site I don't think they will be getting back to me. I would assume, that this store is buying their puppies from an agent which, in turn are from puppy mills. It is crucial to research blood lines for temperament and health. I immediately called Michelle who had an attitude and told me she would only pay if I took her to her own vet which is way out of my way. The puppy was already getting blood work and was being seen. She told me she would review my receipt and let me know. It's now been a week and I still haven't heard back from her or gotten any money for my expense. I was sold a sick dog. Very poor service. This is the worst place ever. I bought an adorable puppy!!! We are in love with him. I have had him since March 28 and have already paid over $700 in medical bills. They gave me this poor baby super sick. Now they will only pay for the medicines bc I will not take him to their clinics. It is my prerogative to take my puppy where I want that I feel comfortable not where they want to get him sicker. BUYERS BEWARE!!! I purchased a yorkie on 11/28/2014. Dog seemed healthy, took her to the vet they designated. Vet evaluated her and said everything was fine. I got home that night, puppy began gagging. I immediately called the closet vet Banfield Hospital scheduled an appointment next day. When I took the puppy, they said the yorkie had kennel cough, infection in the ears, Vet bill $200. I immediately called the pet store and they advised me to not pay for any medications, they would care for her. Week later, I came to pick up the puppy, I advised them I was seeking a second opinion. I took her today and the puppy's condition is WORSE. I COME to the pet store and the OWNER (Johnny) is no where to be found. I want people to always seek a second opinion when purchasing an animal from any pet store. I'm going thru HELL right now and I don't deserve it. I paid extremely TOO MUCH MONEY FOR A SICK DOG. PLEASE BELIEVE OUR REVIEW. We bought a poodle the last week of May 2015 and 1 week after, the puppy had diarrhea with blood and he was throwing up. The vet said he had Giardia, parasitic diarrhea. We have 2 kids at home and couldn't expose them to it because it is contagious. He knows he is selling sick dogs and does not care about them. Purchased a Siberian Husky on a Saturday, the following Saturday she started throwing up and having diarrhea. Took her to our family Vet, she had Parvo Virus. I called the pet store and they instrusted me to take her to their vet, when i called to follow up on monday they said she was getting better. I called back on tuesday only to hear she had passed away. When I returned for a refund since parvo takes 1 week to incubate they fought me on it and did want to return the $1300 i had just spent. after much fighting and getting my attorney involved i received a refund for the purchase price but not for the vet bills i had to pay, to find out she had Parvo... I got my precious Leyla from this place. She was filthy when I got her. She smelled soo bad even after taking her to the groomers. You can tell those people didn't take care of her. Read a whole bunch of reviews about this placee and it seems to me that everyone's puppy has hax kennel cough, are sick or filthy. My little chihuahua is now 4 years old; smelling and looking great because I have always taken good care of her. This place is also extremely overpriced. read more

These people show a genuine love for animals. I spoke to the lady that works there (Natalie) for as long as I needed to. She explained to me all the responsibilities that come with adding a pup to my family, and thanks to her help I picked out a 10 week old Labrador that I can now say was the best addition to mine and my kids life!
