I had read in other reviews that it can take a while for the order to be made, so it helps to call ahead. The woman running this little stand hung up on me when I tried to order because I said I only wanted one. She said she didn't make just one, and hung up. So, I decided to go in person. When I arrived, I saw a sign that said it had to be an order of two or more. I ordered three (cash only, by the way). They all come with cheese, but I ordered one bean, one onion, and one chicken. I asked her what her own favorite one was, and she said none. Okay, great start. She does make them from sh, which was great. They came out piping hot! It took about 15 minutes. We ate in the car, since there are no tables around and the ambiance is basically just a parking lot, which is fine. The bean was good, but was boring. The cheese and onion was fine, but lacked the onion flavor I was hoping for. It was just raw onion with cheese. And then, the chicken tasted like canned chicken (and looked it) and was not good at all, unfortunately. I've had papusas before, so I kind of knew what to expect and this wasn't it. Aside from my experience, the place was popping at lunch and a ton of people were there... Maybe I just haven't found the right one to try!

Delicious, affordable, and homemade! Very special spot. Called ahead and placed an order for pickup (~30 min. wait). The owner speaks Spanish and will most likely answer the phone so.

I enjoyed the food, the lady does a fantastic job! However, her people skills could improve. If you've seen Seinfeld, "The Soup Nazi" episode, she would play that roll very well. & BRING CASH! It is a cash only place, make sure you have change. She couldn't break a $20 when a friend & I went for lunch. I ordered 3 - mushroom, spinach & one of the meat ones that had an interesting name to it. I would choose something besides spinach next time. The others were yummy!

I had never tried Pupusas previously so I had to run to Union Jack anyway why not give it a try. Yes the elderly lady was a bit edgy so what she has lived long enough to have attitude. The food was real good I had a pork and a chicken and both were good. The salsa was ok and the cabbage with vinegar and carrots gave it a little more flavor. The prices are very reasonable so noone tell them they are in Boulder county or they will charge too much. I will be back to try other menu selections.

Flavorful Salvadoran Pupusas! A Pupusas is a thick corn tortilla with a flavorful filling served with salsa and fermented cabbage (Curtis). Worth a try if you you haven't had one. They have a dozen different filings such as pork, mushroom, chicken, bean, onion, olive, spinach and zucchini. Order 2 or 3 ($6 or $9 respectively). It is a food truck but is somewhat permanent at this location- dark red with white trim. Call in advance (720-296-7000) if you are in a hurry- they make them to order and there can be a line. Mostly take away or you can eat them at the benches there- weather permitting.

Cute Louisville food truck! You can relax in a chair while you wait for your order.

Quick tip: call to order your food 15 minutes in advance. Otherwise, you get to wait 15 minutes in the parking lot while they prepare your food:) cash only! I love that this food truck is only two miles from my apartment, and I drive by it all the time when I go grocery shopping! I finally stopped by and enjoyed my cheesy Pupusas. They have a lot of filling options, ranging from pork and chicken to olives and baby zucchini. They serve as a tasty snack or small meal. I liked the side salsa, though some Yelpers point out that the salsa is more Mexican than El Salvadoran, so it's not a super authentic side to the Pupusas. The truck itself is cute. A couple of chairs and a small table sit out front. I saw a couple of people bike to the truck to pick up their food.

Hard to compete a better review then others mention here! I will only give you the insights. One day some boy cried I want pizza and his parents had no intentions of getting one. "here mocoso aqui esta tu pizza" his mother said, creation of the pepperoni pupusa. The cook is a young at heart woman who I feel has a lot of love for her food. Her husband if she has one is already in heaven. The infamous Salvadorian creation come out piping hot and delicious. All three of my variety pupusa were amazing. Salsa and slaw fresh and crisp. This is the real deal competition to the one in Denver on Colfax. Cash only and God bless this stand and continues to serve their hot crisp delicious pupusas.

Yumm it is !! The lady makes fresh Pupusas and sells from her cart on wheels. It is awesomeness, 2 for $5. Dont under estimate the food as it is from the cart. There is some quaint seating around the van. Perfect for quick lunch. :) We tried 4 flavors of Pupusas -- Chicken, Zuchini, Bean and Loroco It comes with Salsa and side of pickled salad. Tasted great and was piping hot (melted cheese). I have uploaded a pic of the food. I have tried Pupusas in Farmers market as well, this one definitely takes my vote. Salvadorian Owner of the restaurant speaks little English and little she know's, how famous are her Pupusas on Yelp! So this goes for the owner and fellow yelpers. I love pupusas! I have eaten them during my travels many times, but they are one of those amazing foods that you almost never find back in the US, so imagine my delight when I spotted a hand painted sign reading "Pupusas" while I was driving down South Boulder Road today.. I started simple with a pair of cheese pupusas. They were hand made and came with a really impressive salsa. Super happy! This is going to be a regular lunch spot for me I think! Big fan! read more

We got here and ordered.... a couple ordered after us, and they had a way bigger order but somehow got their food first. Not sure what happened there maybe because they were white and obviously had more money than us? We waited for 30 minutes for about 4 pupusas when we asked him what happened he said that the other couple has done an online order which was bs ... we heard them looking over them menu, conversations about the order then ordering... read more

Yes! This little food truck offers the yummiest pupusas!!! We had about 10 and we all shared not knowing what we would like. We liked all of them. Before you place your order, they warn you it will be a 15 min wait, we wanted about 20 min, but it was worth it. The food was HOT, and it stayed hot till the end. I needed refueling after a long hike so I stopped by to try this much raved about locale and boy am I glad I did! I wasn't quite sure what to order so I went with the pork and it was yummy. The pupusas weren't overly filling so they seem perfect for lunch...or maybe even a late day snack. I'm definitely going back and will try the pork/bean/cheese and the loroco. The gal running the show is very friendly and definitely knows how to cook! read more

The first time I came here I was disappointed. I arrived on a Thursday afternoon at 2:30 pm, and the lady was closing up and leaving. I talked to her and asked her why she was closing at 2:30 pm, when her sign said that she closes at 6:00 pm. She didn't have much of an answer, so I left. 2 weeks later, I was in the area, so I tried again. This time it was open, it was a Wednesday around 1:00 pm. The lady was inside cooking and a younger man took my order. He was very personable, helpful, and made suggestions. They sell pupusas either 2 or 3 per order, with cheese plus one item in each (choice of meat, beans, or a vegetable). I got two orders of 3 papusas each. I had a veggie in each one (I don't eat meat). It comes with a side of vinegar cabbage, sliced carrots, and salsa. I took them home and ate them with my husband that evening for dinner. He and I both enjoyed them. I am glad that I tried them again. REMEMBER - they only take CASH. No cards. And from reading the reviews, 15 mins is not a bad wait. Just bring something to read and not be in a hurry. read more

Fabulous food cart in Louisville! The food is amazing and the people are great. it's an easy place to go with hungry kids after school when you have activities, for lunch, or whatever. It's quick, it's very affordable, and very satisfying. I love to put the cole slaw-style sauce on the pupusas. In all, a wonderful addition to Louisville! read more

Definitely worth checking out. We've had pork, chicken, bean, zucchini and loroco.. All are very good. For a little over $5 you get two 5" diameter pupusas, a side of salsa , and a side of curtido. All are delicious. Highly recommended, a welcome change from usual tex-mex fair. read more

When I first ate here I nearly cried, it brought back such strong memories of the 2 months I lived in El Salvador as a teen. Just lovely pupusas. Not as cheesy as the originals but I prefer these frankly. I have not explored the whole menu, just the zucchini, loroco, and revuelta. Yum! read more

As a Salvadoran, I am so happy to see the reviews this place is getting. I am happy pupusas can be enjoyed all the way from El Salvador to many parts of the world. Upon relocating to Denver/Boulder I have been looking for a piece of home away from home and Pupusas in Louisville is it! Tho, I found them by chance while driving by one day. They are tucked in the back of the Union Jack Parking lot. I can tell you, Doña Elsi's pupusas are the real deal. In my quest for finding authentic pupusas, I have tried other Salvadoran places including the one in north Boulder called "Pupusas Sabor Latino". Unfortunately, the pupusas there were not of this caliber. Also, I have tried "Tres Pupusas"; the frozen pupusas they sell at Wholefoods but they are not even close and they are much more expensive then these freshly made ones. I would however, pay the money for sentimental reasons, but the price here can't be beat. Pupusas in Louisville is Salvadoran street food at its best. Don't miss the authentic curtido and salsa with your pupusas. This is the way we eat them in El Salvador. Also, don't miss the Loroco pupusas. This is a vine that flowers that only grows in El Salvador. They have plenty of seating behind the cart under the big tree. You can relax or hang out with your friends after your Sunday ride while enjoying freshly made pupusas. Doña Elsi (a Salvadoran native) is the epitome of the "pupusera" you will find in the Salvadoran streets. She is very friendly, welcoming and happy you are her guest. I love this place. P.S. As with lots street food, it is customary to eat these with bare hands, don't be shy to ditch the utensils. read more

We shared a few different flavors and my favorite was the oatmeal cookie. It had a subtle oatmeal cookie flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the ice team itself was rich, milky and smooth. The runner up is the vegan Sherpa Chai. You can't really tell it's vegan based on the texture. The chai flavor was bold but well balanced. There were plenty of other flavors caught my eye, will definitely come back and try more!

I usually get the dairy free ice cream options and Sweet Cow has the magic recipe of making vegan ice cream have the same taste and texture as the regular ice cream. I got the vegan strawberry banana golden oreo in a pretzel cone and my husband got the raspberry oreo. The pretzel cone is a fun idea - it was a little tough to eat (I was also eating it outside in November at 8 pm at night and it was like 30 degrees out so that likely made an impact on it too). I cannot wait to come back here for future ice cream dates.

I first discovered pupusas in general a few years ago when a friend took me to this dive of a place in downtown Provo, UT -- and I was hooked! It's not really comparable to compare pupusas to anythining most Americans are familiar with. It's definitely nothing like Mexican food. The pupusa itself is a special type of bread that is a common meal item in El Salvador, and the fillings can run the gamut from meat to vegetarian to dessert items. When I first moved into the Lafayette-Louisville area a year ago, I was excited to see this little red Pupusas cart outside the liquor store. The food is incredible, and it's cheap. Two for $5. The spinach is awesome, and the pork is even more incredible. If you work in the area, it's hard to beat. The wait in line during the lunch rush is well worth it, but even at peak times isn't bad. read more

Watched the stand open, drove by for months wondering what a papusa was. I figured they only took cash (I don't know if that is true) and I never had any, so I never stopped. Remembered as I was driving by I had $6 cash and I decided to stop. Glad I did. For $5 (tax included) I got two big papusas, one chicken, one zucchini. The little slaw/salad side was great too. Enough food for two light eaters or one big eater. Will have to keep myself from stopping too often. May call ahead if I know that I am going, takes about 10 mins to get your food as they make it fresh. So worth the wait! read more

Amazing taste! Very authentic and nice peeps. The son takes your order and the mom cooks! Bring cash. 2 pupusas is enough. 3 for the too hungry! Lol. They have the real selection with the vinegar slaw and freshly made salsa to compliment your oder! If you are in a rush, just call 20 minutes ahead! read more
