My review is based on the Heritage Valley location that just opened. I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 10. As expected the place was packed. That saying, traffic did move so people weren't waiting for very long. My friend managed to get us a table right away. Given that the restaurant was busy, the service was pretty slow. It took about 15 mins to get water which came after asking a second time. The waitress would come by and refill the coffee but not the water. Despite it being busy, the staff maintained their composure and were very pleasant. The restaurant was nice and modern with a lot of bright sunlight coming through. It was very clean and tidy. It was spacious but we found that a lot of the tables were too close together. You could practically lean over and touch the person beside you as well as hear every word of their conversation. It was also awkward when the waitresses would serve you because they had to squeeze in between the tables to get to you. In addition, I found the tables a bit small and cramped. There was barely any room to place everything. Having a convo was difficult as the place was quite loud and the sound carried throughout the restaurant. I ordered the Xplosion which came with 2 thick pieces of french toast covered in fruit and drizzled with english cream, 4 slices of bacon, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and potatoes ($21). My friend ordered the panko crusted french toast which was covered in fresh berries. Food was 10/10 and in my opinion one of the best breakfasts I've had at a restaurant. The potatoes were well seasoned, flavoured, and crispy. I usually never order french toast at restaurants because they never taste good but this was high quality with a nice crisp on the outside. The plates are massive and looking around barely anyone was able to finish their plate. It was well worth the price. You can also sub your potatoes for a bowl of fruit instead. The bowl of fruit is big and can easily be shared between 2-3 people. I will 100% be coming back to try out more of their delicious looking menu.

We don't visit Kingsway Mall very often but we did today and that gave us a chance to try out this restaurant. It took a while to find because we were in the mall but the restaurant has an outside entrance. Once in we found this to be a busy place. We did get a table immediately but there were not many tables left. The coffee was okay for a restaurant and the service was very good. We both ordered sweet rather than savory and that was a tasty decision. I ordered the banana strawberry crepe and my significant other ordered two berry pancakes. Both had lots of fruit and were very filling. There were lots of berries on her pancakes. I can definitely recommend Pur & Simple for your breakfast or brunch.

Place was 100% Sunday 12PM. 30minutes wait to get seated. Will call your cell when they are ready for you so we walked the mall until we were called. You get a very small sample of their orange juice which is a great idea. Did not get a refill on water the hour we were there. Friend got the vanilla latte and loved it. I got the French Toast Crisp 7/10. They use Panko to coat the brioche with is super unique but after 2 slices I was kind of tired of it. SYRUP costs extra which was super disappointing and they toast was pretty dry and Definity let to me being a bit more disappointed in my meal overall. Side of bacon was $6 for 4 slices. Friend got the Korean Sunrise skillet and gave it 10/10. They asked if he wanted it spicy or no, he asked for spicy and it was still very very mild. Next time I really want to try the Breakfast Burrito but will try to be earlier to beat the rush.

This is a newish brunch place that opened up at Kingsway Mall. This is the first Alberta location of this franchise which is pretty cool. The inside was fairly busy when I came to eat on Sunday around 1pm. We didn't have a reservation and was able to be seated quickly. We tried the following: Santa Fe Benedict- I really enjoyed this benedict! The spicy hollandais sauce really complimented this dish and was a sauce that's unique to this restaurant. They forgot to give my potatoes with my dish and I had to ask again before it came. The potatoes tasted like regular fried potatoes but nothing mind blowing. Ray's Extravaganza Skillet- Good portions and delicious! The hollandais sauce again is the star of this dish. Ingredients tasted fresh. Overall it was good meal! I would say it's comparable to Cora and maybe even slightly better.

This is my 2nd visit to Pur & Simple and I tried something different this time. I have a weakness for cinnamon pancakes....if those are on the menu, that's what I'm getting. Even if I'm craving eggs benny, french toast, that doesn't matter. Until I know what their cinnamon pancakes are like, I can't order anything else. So I tried the cinnamon pancakes. It was nice to see a different style pancake in the sense that it's kind of spiralled instead of one flat pancake. That's the best way I know how to describe it. The cinnamon part was okay. Had some crunchy brown sugar crust to it, and the pancake itself was kind of mushy. Would I head to Pur & Simple again? For sure, I just wouldn't have their pancakes. The restaurant itself is clean, service is decent, coffee is really good, and it's worth checking out!

Consistently Perfect! In all my visits, I have never had an egg over or under cooked! The staff are great too. I highly recommend!

I loved my Red Curry Laksa. It was fresh and rich. Loved the red coconut curry sauce. The seafood was a decent portion. My friend liked her falafal but it definately wasn't the best she has had and was eyeing up my curry. Service was OK. I feel like because we didn't order alcoholic beverages, we didn't get service as much as the tables that did. That won't prevent me from coming here again.

Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday, otherwise they open for lunch (closed Mondays). Epic Market is huge. This will be a very popular place for the Whyte Avenue crowd as there are so many options available depending on which floor you enter. We were on the second floor today for brunch but the first floor, which has a similar look and feel, has a Mexican menu. It opens for lunch at 11:30am. It's a unique concept for Edmonton. The server said that they've opened similar restaurants in larger cities like Toronto but Edmonton is their first venture into a "smaller market". The brunch menu was interesting with some unique features and some typical offerings. I had the Pork Bennie, for $18.00 in 2024. The prices are quite reasonable for the type and quantity of the food. My bennie was good. My only criticism is that a special house ketchup would have been a nice touch. The service was excellent and we had a nice view of Gateway Blvd out the window. The coffee includes endless refills which is good because the cups were not very large. I'm sure the vibe is much different for dinner than brunch, but based on our experience, I'll definitely return.

My wife and I both ordered the Chandru Special for $17.50. It's a crepe with bacon and eggs inside plus some cheese slices melted on top. There was a side of fresh fruit. The presentation was somewhat lacking as the cheese slices made it look like something you find at your children's birthday party. The dish definitely needed some sauce to help it down. At least the fruit was good. Our server was very skilled at tunnel vision as she didn't see us even when walking right by our table. Eventually we caught her and got a refill for our coffee. She was pleasent enough when she arrived but definitely didn't want to do refills. On a more positive note, my friend ordered an omelet which came with potatoes that looked like thick potato chips. They looked good and he liked them. If I return it will be because I am in the area and can't find a better place. In other words, three stars out of five.

We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly.
