Open late night, really clean inside, staff was very friendly and helpful. Really sweet actually. I wish I would've gotten their name. My bowl was really refreshing , the guava base not overly sweet. I will be back

Great acai base! not too sweet which i appreciate. sometimes the bases can be a bit too sweet or artificial tasting, but not here! Fun toppings available. Service is quick. Parking lot available. Spacious with plenty of seating. Clean!

This was good, the food was pretty yummy! We got a half mango and half dragon fruit "açaí" bowl. The mango was delicious and had a good consistency, dragon fruit was good but had a chunky texture. The service was good and quick. She was very kind and helpful. The ambiance was nice, although they had flashing Christmas lights which was weird to look at. They share the place with Nguyen's kitchen. Was a fun experience- would could back! Overall a 4.5

TL;DR - dragon bowl has a pitaya base that tasted with a hint of plastic (maybe it was from my spoon), topped with strawberries, banana, granola, coconut flakes, and chia seeds. Would come back to try other options. I got the dragon bowl for me and my family to share and it was so-so. There were pros and cons to this thing for sure and a lot of the feedback came from my family member. I otherwise wouldn't have minded it, but noticed it more and more after these comments lol. The base of this bowl is pitaya which had an slightly odd taste that was reminded me of plastic... maybe it was my spoon. The ice cream had a strong split of ice crystals and concentrated sweet pitaya. It didn't bother me initially until I had more of it, and felt the two components didn't blend very well together. The fruit up top was fresh and delicious. They put strawberries, bananas, classic granola, chia seeds, and a nice palm full of coconut flakes right in the middle. It was refreshing and my kid gobbled it up. I'm a big fan of acai bowls so I'd still come back here and try some of their other options! Service was quick and the ambiance was nice. Easy to hold a conversation and this place shares the same space as Nguyen's kitchen

Terrible customer service To: carson@nguyenskitchen.com Cc/Bcc, From: brandimcdanie 2578@yahoo. Subject: Terrible customer service Ordered three bowls the employee was cleaning out all the toppings refrigerator so the employee did not ask me if I wanted granola so as they were making my other three bowls I realized I didn't get granola I ask the manager can it be place on the side because the employee forgot she stated I needed to pay and extra 3 dollars terrible customer service service was so slow. The presentation was promising, the service was good, and the environment was clean--but unfortunately, the açaí bowl was a major letdown. It tasted like freezer burn and had almost no flavor. I've never had a bad açaí bowl before, so this was really disappointing.

Hubby and I have been on an Açaí bowl binge lately and was searching for a place that would be open past 9pm. Pur Bowls caught our attention by default simply because they're open until 1am. We pulled up to the building and found that they have a lot of customers at 9pm. Clearly we're not the only ones that crave açaí bowls at this hour...lol The flavor options for bases seem pretty standard. We got the Pur Coco (coconut) and Cacao for bases. They have flavored chia puddings, fresh fruit, granola, and other superfood toppings. I always enjoy getting almond butter and goji berries which I'm glad that they have. Something that I don't see very often that Pur Bowls offers is fresh pineapple and fresh mango. Yum! https://bit.ly/4ewWcjm Glad to know there's a place open late. That's the biggest advantage that this place has over the other açaí places.

I shared a 24 ounce tropical bowl with my boyfriend. I usually can't finish acai bowls on my own, so usually I ask to split a large in 2 cups even if I have to pay extra, but this place does not split the order. The base of the tropical bowl did not taste tropical at all. It kind of tasted like toothpaste. The fruits were really good and fresh though. I like how the toppings were unlimited. The bowl came with mango and pineapple, but I was able to add strawberries and blueberries. It also had granola, toasted coconut and I asked to drizzle it with agave. I'm not really sure if I'll return here. I do like how they close late at 1am, especially since many acai places close early.

The lady working was rude she needs to be re-trained on her customer service skills. They do not greet you when you walk in nor say thank you when you leave. Nothing, no eye contact either. My bowl was so underwhelming mango was not ripened and banana was green and not ready to eat. She also rolled eyes when I asked for blueberries in my other bowl. I felt very rushed, yet the restaurant was empty. My bowl was not filled up at all very bare. I'd like a remake seriously. 4/10/25 Thursday at 8:45PM

I love these bowls. I'm new to the açaí craze. Pur definitely delivers a great product. I got one bowl with just chia puddings because I wanted to try all the flavors and in another bowl I got the pineapple, coconut with spirulina and Berry bases. Sooo good. I will definitely be back. Customer service is beyond! The accommodated my disability accommodations with ease. I'm very appreciative.

Ask the Community - Pur Bowls

Is the açaí pre blended or do they blend as you order?

i believe all the bases are frozen. so pre made/blended :)

    Are dogs aloud inside?

Dogs are not allowed inside, but they have outdoor patio seating so you can enjoy your meal outside with your fur baby.

Is there banana's blended into the bases?

Our bases do not use banana.

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

Ben Scoops specializes in Filipino/Southeast Asian ice cream flavors, including cool flavors like macapuno, lúcuma, even durian! I opted for a small cup (two flavors) with one scoop being ube and the other cantaloupe (seasonal). ...and wow, did they deliver! The cantaloupe was my favorite, having that juicy, sweet taste associated with the fruit. I'm typically not a huge fan of cantaloupe, but this one was so good, even having little chunks of the fruit inside!! I also liked the ube scoop: the flavor was more-subtle, but I think it's because they use real ube to make it, instead of artificially-flavored. Made for a lightly-sweet, slightly-savory and earthy experience which I enjoyed. Ben Scoops really surprised me in taste and quality. Solid ice cream with interesting flavors to try. So take it for what it is.. and as a fellow Asian, I'm expecting natural strong flavors. I'll start with the best thing about the ice cream. The texture is a 5/5! Solid work on creaminess. Now for why I just wasn't so excited about it all. I talked about flavor. It's lacking. It tasted very milky and washed out and I really had to concentrate on exactly what flavor I was supposed to be tasting. We got three diff flavors. Regular vanilla bean, ny cherry, and halo halo. Another thing lacking was service. She was nice. But didn't seem excited to be there. And it didn't make me excited to be there. What killed it for us was the location as a whole. It comes off as a nice outdoor space. But no one cares about you. Honestly, all three times I've been to this location for different venues, I've had very rude encounters. No other place have I been to that's been this consistent with people who just don't care. So I guess my take away is - the place is fine. It'll hit the spot for ice cream. But take it and leave. They have so many cool venues around like hiro nori, nook, spam masubi... it's a shame that people around are so much about themselves.

The boba shop is located on the northwest corner next to Dentist of Old Torrance with plenty of parking. The shop's dining space is mostly of 2-tops that can be adjusted to seat larger groups, with a unisex restroom is in the back. There's a corner to the right of the entrance with a Boba Bunny neon sign & powder blue scooter that's great for taking pics! I first learned of the shop via Toast last year when they offer a $2.00 birthday treat. My son has tried most of the local boba shops so I wanted to see how this ranks on his list. The menu is pretty extensive for its size with: fresh fruit teas, blended fruit/smoothies, fruit yogurt, fruit mocktails, premium milk teas, pure teas, cheesy bunny teas, tea lattes, ice milks, coffees, toppings ice creams, build your own (bubble) waffle, bubble waffle combo, churros, shaved ice, hot sandwiches/paninis, toasts, croissants, rice bowls, salads, munchies, add-ones... whew! There's also collectible boba bear bottles that's refillable; I don't think the refillable bottle is more than their large drinks unlike some other shops with refill options. Stopping by on a late Saturday morning, it was quiet. It took a few minutes to peruse their menu & I had a few questions since the electronic menu & kiosk didn't have a description of the ingredients. I ordered Lychee Berry with Crystal Boba, & M picked a large Strawberry Mochi Shaved Ice. It took a few minutes before my order was ready. I liked the Lychee Berry... it has a floral & sweet tart taste from the lychees & strawberries, with a moderate serving of crystal boba. The shaved ice was definitely IG-worthy! It's piled high with ice fluff & topped with fresh strawberries, mochis, & a strawberry bunny jello; their house special strawberry purée, a bit too sweet for my liking, is set aside to prevent diluting the shaved ice. The mochi is colored, but it doesn't taste flavored or fresh (in-house) made; fresh as in chewy & pillowy like a marshmallow. The jiggly bunny makes a fun pic (see videos)! M thought it was funny to tap its behind, & we had it angled so that it looks like it's eating a pink mochi. Hehehe... While it's creative to a certain extent & tasty, the menu is on the expensive side for the serving size. Service was positive since we were the only customers, though slow due to the order execution process. Alas, the location is not quite marketable even though there's high traffic from Ralph's. It's the same owner, rebranding the Boba Bunny to Phin Coffee a couple of months ago after 2 years as a boba shop, which makes sense since there was a special run 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a 20% discount on coffee & matcha before the transition.

Open your mind (or tongue) and try the different options! Great for couples, family, and friend. If you have a foodie friend who doesn't judge on exterior but rather the taste, this is a worthy spot. The lady helping us allowed us to try different options until we landed on Thai tea, almond amaretto, riceberry horchata on The Special (3 flavors) on a waffle bowl. It was placed on coconut sticky rice. At first I raised my eyebrows but when I tried it, I was blown away how GREAT of combo this is! 5/5 I would go out of my way to try this. What I also love about this is that it isn't sweet like typical dairy icecream but just sweet enough like the true gelatos you have in Italy. You must at least try this with the waffle bowl - it was quite the delight. The portion is big and you'll be surprisingly full. The special (3 flavors) is best for 2-3 people (regular serving). If you're going to eat this by yourself I'd just get 1 serving or the gelato cup. Restroom? No Seating? No

Tried Moom Maam at Smorgasburg Los Angeles at ROW DTLA, the big Sunday pop-up food event downtown…read more The event itself was pretty cool, although a few of the vendors I was hoping to try apparently didn't show up that day. Luckily this was one of the stands that had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Between the language barrier and my excitement for dessert, I somehow ended up ordering more than I planned. The ice cream was good and the Asian-inspired flavors were definitely different from the usual. It didn't completely blow my socks off, but it was a solid treat. I kept thinking a little syrup or extra topping would've taken it up another level. Overall, glad I tried it. Half the fun of these food events is randomly discovering stuff you normally wouldn't eat anyway. I'd probably check out their Torrance brick-and-mortar location sometime and give them another shot.

Tea Master in Little Tokyo still wins my heart when it comes to matcha ice cream since theirs is really creamy. However, this is one of the best hojicha soft serves out there. Yamari specializes in Uji matcha straight from Kyoto. [Parking]: The parking lot for Mitsuwa can get busy during the weekend, but it is not impossible to find an open spot. [Ordering]: There was no long waiting line and I was able to get my order within 5 minutes after placing an order at the counter. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Iced Matcha Lattes, Strong Uji Matcha Green Tea (sweetened), and Stone Ground Uji Matcha (contains no sugar or milk). They offer small, medium, and large sizes for their drinks. In addition, they also sell hojicha drinks as well as parfaits and soft-serve ice cream. *** Strong Uji matcha green tea (sweetened - small $4.50): The matcha flavor was strong alright. The drink did hit the spot and the sweetness level was about right. Mixed Soft Serve (half matcha and half hojicha - $6.75): Ice cream had a strong matcha flavor, but the texture didn't hit the spot. It would be nicer if the flavor was slightly less dense as this ice cream really made me want to drink more water afterward. The milk chocolate was a nice add-on, but I am not sure if it was really needed. *** I would stick with their drinks and there are better soft-serve matcha ice creams in Los Angeles (e.g. Meccha Matcha in Artesia or Tea Master Matcha Cafe & Green Tea Shop in Little Tokyo).
