This boba spot is more of a takeout place than a sit inside place. No trash can (only outside) and no restroom. Parking was pretty good. Omg I hadn't been to a quickly since my college days in Berkeley like 15 years ago lmao. Very nostalgic. This one is super small inside. Lots of drink options and a few food - I think I saw popcorn chicken, fries, bubble waffles and some type of pandan pudding with ice cream. I tried the rose milk tea with mini boba (they were out of regular boba but I ended up liking the mini!). Boba were nice and chewy and tasted fresh. The drink was extremely sweet like very lol. I'm not much of a Quickly fan in general but this store had some stuff that's out of the ordinary. They have buko pandan desserts and got tamarind flavored drinks! Not just your usual milk teas and flavored teas. They also have some specialty slushies like coconut cookie crumble. They also serve eggpuffs here, with drizzle options for extra flavor. The store is by the entrance of a small strip mall, hard to miss. Plenty of parking during covid, you can wait in your car or in a few of the socially distanced chairs. They call out your name to pick up your order. Their tamarind flavored slush is great, it's on the tart side, probably better off pairing with something sweet. I was debating between pineapple and mango, ended up with a pineapple. I think I finished the slush a bit too fast with that combo. I've had their house milk tea and green tea. Green tea had very good tea flavors, which i was not expecting. The worker there said the house milk tea is pretty popular, it had good tea flavors but I didnt have a sweet tooth for the regular sugar level. Lots of surprises here. read more

When it comes to cold weather, it is very appropriate to get a cup of coffee. I personally prefer tea. And here we go. On January 1st 2021 me and my friend walking along empty streets of China Town and having Starbucks as a backup option found a random Chinese place with, unexpectedly, some great tea options. The lady at front desk was polite enough to recommend a good one and tell us a little bit about surroundings. However, tea should be boiling hot, it was not. Please take it into the consideration. In short: Not worth it. Consistently poor experience. Just go to Ding Tea. Long answer: I've been going to Quickly Boba since 2016 because they used to be the only boba shop in Carson, but I've finally had enough. No more. Some staff is shockingly bad, management seems to not care about customer experience at all, and the drinks are inconsistent. I'll now list all my complaints. In general, wait times are long, smoothies are not blended well, and boba is often still frozen. Management - Some of the choices they've made over the years make me think they kinda have disdain for customers, or at least don't care about the customer experience. Example #1: Years ago, someone stole a plant from their store. It was caught on video, and management decided to post flyers all over the store showing a screenshot of the thief with a lecture about respecting store property and threatening to take legal action. Yes, it's messed up that someone stole their plant. But these flyers made it a pretty uncomfortable environment for every other customer. Example #2: Since the start of the pandemic, they've had customers order outside the front door behind a plastic shield. It's now March 2023, and they still have the same setup. It's bad for several reasons. First, it's hard to communicate with the staff because it's right next to a noisy street. Second, it's outdoors with no cover from the sun/rain. Third, it's directly next to a busy street and a parking lot, with only 3 dirty chairs to sit. Staff - Example #1: Today, I went and ordered a Thai tea w/out boba. There were no customers there when I arrived, and no customers came after me, yet I waited over 15 minutes. I hate to bother staff, but finally I decided to ask how much longer it would take. The same guy who took my order came out to talk to me. He seemed confused, so I told him I've been waiting 15 minutes. He started looking at his iPad for a bit, then asked me what I ordered. I told him again, large Thai tea. Then he started looking at the iPad again. Then he asked if I ordered online. At this point, I was absolutely shocked. This is the same guy who took my order 15 minutes earlier. And there have been zero customers after me. Yet somehow he seemed to not remember at all. I told him "No, I ordered from you right here." Finally, another guy comes out with a Thai tea and apologized for the wait. I could tell he was annoyed by his oblivious coworker. SMH, this was wild. Example #2 - On more than one occasion, they've been out of Oreos, which are used to make many of the smoothies. Oreos are not hard to find, so I'm not sure why they have a hard time keeping them in stock, especially when it's an ingredient in so many of their items. Example #3 - I once ordered a white chocolate smoothie, but the drink I got tasted very much like coffee. I hate to send food back, but I don't really like coffee and caffeine makes me jittery, so I told them I think my drink is wrong. They tried to convince me it was correct, which I was not expecting. White chocolate and coffee are pretty distinctively different. Finally they begrudgingly made me a new drink, but they made me feel unnecessarily uncomfortable about it. read more

So Cute!! That was the first thing that came to mind when I walked into Quickly Boba. Perhaps it was because I spotted the oh so cute penguin paintings on their wall. This place just spelled happy and I am all for happy places that make me smile. One of the things that made me instantly happy too was their list of daily specials. On Mondays they've got Melon Mondays, Tuesday they've got Thai Tea Tuesdays etc. When I went it was a Monday and so I ordered a regular honeydew with boba. I was pleasantly surprised that the drink was only $2.70. This was quite a deal because the boba drink was fresh, tasty and filled with lots of soft boba! I enjoyed my honeydew boba so much that I can't wait to try their other offerings. They've got white chocolate macadamia smoothes and peach mango tea that I've got my eye on as well as their macaron offerings. I will definitely be back! They offer up a stamp card so be sure to get one!
