We went to this place for lunch yesterday. Father's Day. There were 5 of us and we all had the usual stuff. The food was delicious.We started with queso with beefand went right in to eat. My plate had 4 tacos and Spanish rice. Everything was hot and fresh and the service was great. read more

My dad and I have been going there since they opened. We have been going more frequently because we heard they were hurting for business. On Sundays we go for breakfast which is on the lunch menu and they charge us $2 more per plate. Today the owner took our order and refused to serve us breakfast. We told him that is why we were there And have ordered it many times on Sunday, he still refused to serve us. I told him we would not be back and he shrugged his shoulders. Dropped by this delicious little gem on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. I was greeted immediately and just about had the run of the place. Lunch specials are available on Saturday. Yay! I ordered my usual of cheese enchiladas topping one with chili con carne and the other with queso. Both were delicious as were the chips and salsa. Corn and flour tortillas also passed the taste test. The house marg also gets a thumbs up. One warning when parking - if you park right up next to the entry watch the ledge as it could damage a vehicle. There are plenty of other parking places though. read more

It's never a good sign when you walk into an eatery and smell air freshener... Lemon. The indoor temperature felt like 65 degrees and was freezing. I asked the waitress if they had fresh made guacamole...but it didn't taste fresh at all. Cheese enchiladas had no flavor and it tasted like there was bacon concentrate or grease in the refried beans. There was also Hair in the salsa. Very disappointing. Well at least the place was clean, and the waitress was attentive, otherwise it was a very very bland Mexican restaurant, A quest with beef appetizer was OK but had no spice at all guacamole was good but was small amount in serving size my beef enchiladas were very bland, rice had citrus flavor in it ,hubbys plate was quesadillas and was OK but again both had NO spice at all. dissapointment in main entrees did not inspire confidence in dessert dishes so we passed on that. overall a very bad meal. read more

When I reviewed Pura Vida in 2021, I gave them a so-so rating and I haven't been back until today. They have really improved. The restaurant is located at 1445 Fort Worth Highway (on Hwy 180 between Weatherford & Hudson Oaks). The restaurant is very clean and feels like a very good Mexican restaurant. The waitstaff are so friendly and provide very good service. They clearly have the best margaritas in Weatherford at a much better price than other restaurants ($6.50). They have a very large menu with most meals in the $12-$18 range. We had 4 adults in our group and each ordered something different from the menu. All 4 thought their food was very good to excellent. They will take reservations for groups of 6 or more. We arrived at 6p.m. and the restaurant was full by 7p.m. Needless to say, we will return! read more

So happy to have finally found good, authentic tasting Mexican food nearby! The chips are homemade, the salsa is amazing and the queso was addicting! I got the carne asada burrito and the meat had a great flavor and the sauce that came with it was really good! My husband got the chimichanga and whoever thought to put queso on it was a genius! My dad got the carnitas and they were incredibly tender and the adobo sauce that came with it was killer! Even my sons chicken tenders were good, super crispy! Naya was our waitress and she was very helpful and even though she seemed new she was very attentive and enthusiastic to be there. She was patient with us while I browsed the menu and even made some good suggestions. I ordered the tacos Al pastor. It included rice and beans with your choice of refried or charro beans. The food had good flavor but the meat had a little bit too much spice on it for me. It was a good experience and customer service was good. This is a great up and coming Mexican restaurant. The food is good the drinks are cold and the staff is good. The fajitas are really good and seem to be a crowd favorite. We've been looking for a Mexican food restaurant here in Weatherford. Was told to check this place out. Table salsa was good. Service was good. I base my experience at a Mexican restaurant on the tortillas they serve me. If I go to a restaurant and they serve me store bought flour tortillas, then I do not go back. Yes, I know the effort that it takes to make tortillas. That's my opinion on a restaurant. If you like SWEET tea, then you will enjoy their tea. This will be a one-time experience for me. read more

Great place! First time here. Chips and salsa were awesome. I recommend getting the red and green sauce and mixing them if you like your salsa a little spicy. We ordered a Grilled Stuffed burrito dinner and Monterrey chicken dinner. Since their liquor license has not been approved yet, we were treated to two FREE margaritas! The service was quick and responsive. The food came out hot and delicious! My one and only complaint was the music was very loud. They turned it down, but still a little too loud to my taste.
