    BURRITO WITH CARNITAS

I always get the Barbacoa burrito here. A dream about this place all the time. Whenever the meats gets low, closer closer to the bottom, almost emptied out of the container, I like to ask if they have more in the back because when it gets low on the bottom of the container, it gets really salty because I had that one time, it was just so salty I could not even eat it and they're really good about it here if you ask for a new container if they have one in the back. I love how they have grilled veggies here and the corn is roasted corn. It is so good, the best. I can't get a burrito anywhere else since it doesn't compare to here. I just wait until I'm back in mpls to get a burrito lol. They close at 9 PM every day sometimes I wish they would open later especially on a Friday and Saturday night.

This place was gas and a half. I liked it a lot better than Chipotle and honestly price point was around the same workers low-key fine shyt and also gave us a free bag of chips for our first time. Try this place if you haven't.

Stumbled upon Puralima Cantina when walking through north loop and decided to try them for lunch. Trendy casual dining area with lots of light and cute decor. Build your own burrito, taco or bowl. Lots of fresh ingredients to choose from. They allow for 3 toppings then start up charging for extras. It's hard to narrow down the toppings since they all look so good! I had a chicken bowl and my spouse had a steak bowl. The meat was tender, juicy and nicely seasoned. The other toppings were fresh and flavorful. I'll have to stop here again when I'm in the north loop!

I ordered PURALIMA for the first time today. I am a lifelong vegetarian and that's always in the back of my mind... this veg bowl was 10/10. Loved it and saving half for dinner. It was even a bit pre-mixed (see my pic) which I love. Thank you Puralima, I'll be back!

I git this delivered last night and YEUH ok!!! Very fresh ingredients and the steak was actually so good - Not chewy or fatty and had flavor. They season their chips too if you into that and their queso wasn't too salty. New go to for chipotle cravings!!

Grabbed a late lunch here with a few friends before a concert and it was so delicious! It's a make-line style build your own type of restaurant and the line workers pushed the line through at a good speed. I ordered a steak bowl which had a good ratio of meat to toppings. I wish I could have gotten a margarita, me and one of my friends were bummed because one of the main reasons we came was to try the frozen margaritas. Yet they were out of it completely.. There are also canned seltzers but I opted for a limeade that was tart and refreshing. I was also in awe of the beautiful artwork and snapped a quick pic of my favs.

Cute, cute, cute! Imagine if Chipotle was decorated by a Real-housewife or some other fun stylish person! Chandeliers, colorful material around the pillars, and I am here for it all. But let's talk about the food.. I love the unique toppings, just kicking myself that I did t try the pineapple pico de gallo, I guess there is always next time! The chips and guacamole were great; both fresh and flavorful. One negative is that it is on a busy street in the North Loop, so you will need to hunt for street parking to pick up your burrito.

This might be my new favorite spot to fix my chipotle needs. Meat selections are juicy and tender, toppings are all cooked individually and seasoned well. Sauces are unique AND packs some heat. Drinks are good, but my bf wouldn't prefer on get the frozen one over the reg. Parking is on the busy street or along side the building. Vibes and music are popping and service was amazing.

I decided to try Puralima this week when they were running a free entree special on their app! It's right near my work, so I thought it would be the perfect little lunch spot. I ordered ahead, so my to-go order was ready right when I got there at 11:30, which was great. However, there were quite a few people waiting on to-go orders. A friend I was with ordered hers for ASAP about 10 minutes before we left our work to walk over, and we waited there for 5-10 minutes for her food to come out (it had given her a 'ready' time at 11:32). I didn't mind too much because they seemed to be a bit short staffed. The location is beautiful and in a great area of North Loop! It's got super trendy and bright decor, fun merch, and a little flower bar where you can create your own bouquet. I definitely want to come back here for a happy hour with margaritas and chips! Based on other reviews I've seen, it looks like they fixed their portion problem. These are a bit smaller than Chipotle, but I don't mind because I never finish Chipotle - I really felt this was the perfect size for me! Plus, they included a free chips & guac for happy hour before the end of the month which was a fun little surprise. I ordered a steak salad with quite a few toppings. Since I had the free entree, I only had to pay for my additional toppings (about $2 worth) - however, I think they need to include more than 3 toppings for their price. If I had paid for this, my little salad would've been about $15 - and at that rate I would go down the street to C&G for a larger salad. Good news is, this salad was absolutely delicious! The steak was so tender and flavorful and the vinaigrettes really brought all the flavors together. I definitely raved about it to some friends! Overall, I wouldn't be super quick to go back here for a lunch/meal because of the price point, but I will be back to try happy hour!

Went to Puralima for lunch on a Wednesday and it was poppin'! But after trying it out, now I know why. Parking was a bit tricky because it's north loop and it was during lunch time, but only had to walk a block over. The inside of gorgeous! So colorful, light, and fun. They have a ton of options to choose from: tacos, burritos, salads, bowls, or nachos. I did a build your own chicken bowl with cauliflower and a mix of different toppings. The food was fresh and quite tasty! I will say it's a bit more on the pricey side compared to Chipotle or Qdoba, but I'd pay for the quick service and fresh ingredients. I'll definitely go back to try out a few other things. Also, try their homemade limeades!

I really wish I liked this place but I don't. I just feel like something is always lacking in the bowls, with only 3 toppings included. The meal just feels incomplete. This time I got a steak bowl. Flavors are ok, but to be honest I'd choose chipotle any day over this. Nothing "wrong" with it, just not my cup of tea. Note: I ordered online and the process was pretty easy. Food wasn't ready on the shelf when I arrived so I did wait 5 more minutes. The flower area is a cute touch and fun differentiator.

More 3.5 than 4 stars for me. Really good for fast food but falls a tad short of my favorite Twin Cities taco joints. Quac was tasty but way too cold which actually muted the flavors and made it harder to eat, but awesome chips. The meats were not very hot which was disappointing and the burrito a mess to eat. It also was not clear if we needed to bus our own table but we finally found the spot but hard not to make a mess of yourself separating items to be washed and items for disposal.

A great place to grab a quick meal if you are in the mood for Mexican food. They also have great frozen margaritas! The people that work there are very nice and are passionate about bringing great quality Mexican food to the Twin Cities area. It is also a super cute place to hang out and have a couple drinks with friends.

Relatively easy to find, though you do have to hunt a little bit, Flora Room sits behind a nondescript metal door leading down a short hallway to the entrance. Take a long moment to allow your eyes to adjust if you're coming before sunset; this space is DARK. It's also perfect. Once your "night vision" kicks in you're surrounded by a nice bar, numerous bistro-style tables and booths. Candles adorn the tables creating a nice, cozy place to settle in for drinks. Once seated in comfortable chairs at a table, we were quickly greeted and provided with menus. The cocktail selection is relatively "small" but really nicely varied. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Very tasty. My wife opted for the Tapaculo, with gin, mezcal, pineapple, banana and bitters over ice. Also quite good. There are also bites available from the associated restaurant I can't recall the name of mine but I can say it was delicious. Bread-like bites with a really tasty dipping sauce. To close out the visit I selected Palo, a smoked aged rum cocktail that was really nice and rich. My wife chose the Nahualito with rum, walnut, amontillado and white chocolate. All should be on your radar. Flora Room really fit the bill for a nice, intimate speakeasy-style spot to spend time. Dark and cozy. Fortunately, I arrived at 5:30 PM on a Saturday, which was early enough to avoid a line and a velvet rope. I don't wait in line for anything unless I'm at a pharmacy, bakery, post office, or airport. Lines at restaurants and bars strike me as pretentious or bad management, and I don't tolerate either. However, I'm old, and at my age, nothing is worth waiting for unless it's a necessity. I found a seat at the beautiful and expansive bar and looked around at the Del Prado design. The colors might be different, but Flora was reminiscent of Minari and Noma. All three add to the Twin Cities' cachet. However, I was taken aback by the attire I saw around me. People were dressed in shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers. It's friggen Saturday night Minneapolis. Have some class! Flora Room was a lovely cocktail lounge, perfect for wooing, but don't expect to strike up a conversation with any of the bartenders. At these Del Prado joints, the staff must be trained not to engage. I'm out alone and enjoy talking. Bartenders used to be part of a lounge's attraction when I grew up in NYC. They learned your name, knew what you did, and gave you a hearty welcome. That, I guess, is not part of the culture in Minneapolis. Well, at least not at the Del Prado restaurants and bars. Chef Del Prado is from Argentina, and certainly, Argentina is one of the warmest and friendliest countries in the world, so I don't get it. I now live up the block from the Flora Room. I'm a neighbor and would like to be treated like one. Neighborly and the Flora Room are distant concepts.

The salmon croquettes with lemon herb aioli and arugula salad that accompanied were fresh and light! The catfish sandwich with fries was hot, crispy and well seasoned with fresh lettuce and tomato on a perfectly tender brioche bun. I want to return so bad for the food but it was clear this host, server, bartender and partial cook was pulled in too many directions and that severely compromised our service and gave us stand off energy as first time patrons. I looked it up and she is actually one of the owners. She came across as irritated especially once we didn't order any alcoholic drinks first and then very short and curt following. What took the cake was her telling us she was leaving for the day and needed to close our tab while we were eating. Didn't ask did we want to order anything else and there was another server taking her place and an empty restaurant! My partner had to put his sandwich down wipe his hands pull out his wallet while she stood there impatiently. Then proceeded to linger around hugging her regular bar patrons. It was clear this is a "regulars" spot and if you're not one you're rolling the dice on the service you may or may not get. I have many previous years in the industry as a cook, host and GM and I was stunned to know that she was one of the owners when I looked it up. Each…read morebeef patty is much thinner now than it used to be so the outter edge crisp is somewhat all throughout the patty being that thin. This makes the burger really chewy and you really can't taste the beef anymore like you used to when it was thicker. I would take this as it's not as good as it used to be. It is not as good as the original hype from the beginning. In conclusion, I do not think it's worth the $19. I rather get a cheesesteak for $16 at Tono's which comes with fresh not burnt fries rather than come back here and get a burger here. It's highly unlikely I will be back here. I honestly feel like the burgers have gone way WAY downhill. The fries here have gotten terrible so I stopped getting the fries a long time ago. They are not soft crisp like they used to be. They are too golden brown color, almost like burnt hard fries. I never like to eat down here. I normally would order the Parlour burger upstairs. The basement part which is Parlour has a weird smell like a locker room smell so that's why I don't like to eat down here.
