After almost 10 years we didn't painted our house we decided it's time to hire a general contractor for the job. We were a bit concerned about who to hire and how to find the right company after hearing some horror stories. My neighbor hired painters he found in Dunn Edwards store, about a month ago and he told me it was the most frustrating experience he had for a while. The guys came for a day and disappeared for two, left the house dirty , and after investigating he found out they had fake license and no insurances. Work was so poor he ended up paying twice to fix it. He gave us a number of a company that he interviewed that there seem to be really good but were over his initial budget. We decided to call 3 companies we found online to get the free estimate for the last we met our neighbor reference and this is how we met Tom and Lucas from pure energy construction. They explained us about the process gave us options of grades, showed us photo of jobs they have done in the past. They took the time, answered all our questions and even made us learn few things about the work. We were really impressed! Their price was higher than the other folks we met but they were completely different. With the others is seem like buying a car from the dealership They gave us speeches and pushed to close. Lucas and Tom felt real they offered us a discount and we decided to go with them. Now after 2 months since the work is done I can say it was A M A I Z I N G experience. They helped us picked the right colors and showed up on time everyday. The workers were so respectful and cleaned every day. Communication was the best part, Lucas and Tom kept me posted daily on the progress and always asked if there is anything they can do better. The final results were ridiculously great! They moved and covered all our furnitures, fixed crooked walls, replaced drywall in some areas, painted the walls 3 with coats, installed new baseboards in the intire house and took care of every small crack. Walls and ceilings are so smooth, and the lines are perfect. The most detailed work I have ever seen. When the work was done they sent cleaning crew that cleaned our house like never before which was surprising by itself. They are licensed, bonded and have all the right insurances. GREAT JOB pure energy! Looking forward to do our kitchen remodel next year. I recommend them to everyone who is looking for professionals. P.E.C worked on my aunt homeover the course of about 60 days or 7-8 weeks. She want me to post for here. They built us a beautiful and functional Laundry/mud room with its private entry that faces our driveway on the side of the house. It allows a tucked away space to keep shoes and other essentials that we did not want crowding the forier ,out of sight from guests. Our contractor and design team were creative when coming up with floor plans for our new additions. Instead of adding a laundry room AND a mudroom our project manager decided the most cost-effective solution would be to expand our pantry by conjoining the back wall to the mudroom and keeping the pantry door as the main entrance that conjoined our existing kitchen to the new room.They also gutted and remodeled the whole kitchen, master bathroom upstairs and the guest bathroom downstairs. A wall between the kitchen and living room was removed and a new support beam installed. New tile floors were installed in the kitchen, breakfast room, hallway, and entry. The kitchen ceiling was remodeled into a tray ceiling with a skylight, crown molding, and LED lighting. They installed new gas lines so we could have a gas cook-top, installed new fixtures, appliances, counter-tops, custom cabinets with LED lighting, granite counter-tops, and a tile back-splash. They also repainted the kitchen, breakfast room and scraped the popcorn ceiling in the living room and repainted it. Our roof also needed replacing and we figured since they needed to expand it any way we might as well get it taken care of since it was so old, they had to fix interior damage to the ceiling from prior roof leaks. The day they installed it, it was very windy and their team had to go and round up all the scraps that had been blown throughout the neighborhood, they didn't miss a piece of debris and did an incredible job cleaning up. They also sent in their own cleaning team when the project was completed and they took their time to clean the entire house and all of our bedrooms, not just the area that had been worked on. I appreciated coming home to a clean house and NEVER having to worry about Pure Energy's workers in my home. We all felt comfortable with them there throughout the process. A major construction project on my home was recently completed and I am pleased to add my review to the others I just read here. Pure Energy Constructions did the work and Tom was my contractor. He kept in touch day by day through the work and frequently asked me to let him know if I had any comments, suggestions, or recommendations as the project continued. The work on my house was major. The three bedroom, two bath house had a flat roof which leaked during heavy rains and under Tom's guidance, the entire roof was pitched and completely redone including new rafters, plywood and shingles. Tom brought shingle samples for me to select the one I wanted. He also provided photos of different examples of how the job could be done for me to choose what I liked best. Now, instead of a leaky roof, I have a new attic that has plenty of room for the items that used to clutter my closets. The project also involved the addition of a large front porch that I have always wanted for my house since I bought it thirteen years ago. I'm from Ohio originally where every home has a large porch which really serves to maintain neighborhood friendships and a strong community feeling. I really missed that when I moved to California forty years ago. Me and my wife hired pure energy after looking online for contractors with best supervision and customer services. I'm excited to write this review after the remodeling adventure I had with pure energy team. From the first phone call Stephanie was super nice and patient. later on the consultation meeting Tom was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions and I had many of them. After the meeting with Tom I had a clear idea of how the process of the project look like and the time it will take to complete it. I remodeled 2 bathrooms , kitchen with load bearing walls removal, flooring , paint and more. The process was so smooth especially the structural part, They made it seem so easy. The workers on site were very respectful of the house and were very polite and clean. I didn't had to communicate with them at all. I've been involved in a number of home renovations, and as many others can probably relate, have had the misfortune of dealing with contractors who overcharge, overpromise and underdeliver. They'll come in, low ball the quote, and then when they secure your business, continue to raise the price because of all the change orders for the "unexpected issues" that come up. It's a dishonest and common practice in other service industries as well. I look for someone good enough to see those "unexpected issues" ahead of time, and factor them into the scope. Experienced trades will know what to look for and won't often be surprised. I look for someone confident in their service such that they can guarantee the price they give and the work they do. Finally, I like to know that they care about my home enough not to leave it covered in dirty shoe prints, handprints all over the wall and drywall dust in every corner. Sounds too good to be true, and it often is. But it is what I got with Pure Energy Construction. I'm updating my review once again 4 years after I hired Tom and pure energy construction for the first time. I wish I could write more reviews for all the 4 different projects I did with them since I posted my first review. The foundation repairs I've had done 4 years ago are looking great. I can tell the work was done right especially after few local earthquakes we had recently. My foundation is strong and solid not even a small crack. I hired pure energy last year again for larger scale project of building 2 stories ADU on my investment property. Tom made it happen and with so much ease. The project was on budget and on time. Workers came to work everyday and kept the job site clean. They deliver everything they promised and were very respectful. Tom was able to handle few issues we had with the permits and push the job forward even though it wasn't part of his scope. He also assist picking all the finish materials for the bathrooms and kitchen. I can't be happier with the results. I was even able to get tenants in less than 1 week. I think it's because the design and the quality of work. It is just on point and everyone could see it. I highly recommend Tom and his team. Right after purchasing my house in Los Angeles i wanted to build an ADU to help paying my mortgage. my realtor recommended Pure energy construction and Tom specifically to assist with the planing, designing, permitting and the construction management process. The person at the office were very polite and help us find the best time for us to schedule the consultation with our challenging schedule. The rep showed up at our house on time and listened to all our ideas and visions, he took the time to explain the remodeling process and gave us suggestions from his experience that all made perfect sense. Long story short, we ended up hiring them for a massive remodel that we were planning and saving for years. We add 1200 sqft added to the house and remodel the entire interior and exterior. I lost my house by the Eton fires and wanted to start move the process of re building our house as soon as possible. I looked for a reliable construction company to guide us through the process because there is so much uncertainty. No one could tell us where to start. I reached out to PURE ENERGY CONSTRUCTION and was able to talk with Tom. We met on a Zoom call and ask all out questions, Tom gave us a lot of information and was able to explain what the process will look like starting from talking our insurance, getting the building permit and do the design and construction. We later on met them on site to look at the building options. We were able to receive the funds from the insurance pretty quick and we are now dealing with the city permits. We really thankful to start working with Tom and we are looking forward to start working with his team on the construction phase. It is already a valuable experience since I didn't not yet paid anything out of pocket. My condo needed a couple of things: I remodeled my kitchen and then remodeled/expanded the bathroom. For the bathroom, we opened up one of the walls to connect the previous closet space to the bathroom. I don't use up that much closet space, and my bathroom was rather small, which is why I decided to use the closet space to expand the size of my bathroom. I wasn't sure how this would work out, but the project manager, Tom, walked through me all the steps and also provided me with some sketches/3D designs so that I could picture the finished result. This was actually really cool to see and play with. Tom was very helpful providing ideas and suggestions, but he was always considerate of my needs and never pushed me to do something I didn't want to. Very pleasant and productive experience working with Tom. With the kitchen as well, I had many questions which Tom answered with patience and kindness. And this I highly appreciated. The bathroom renovation was near completion and it was time for the flooring specialists to put in the hardwood floors. They found issues with the subflooring, but we lost no time because our contractors immediately brought in their workmen who prepared and leveled the floor. At this point we all took a look at the balcony which we knew needed work. We were going to defer this to a later date, but after conferring, all agreed that it would be much better to take care of it before the beautiful flooring went in. Again, our contractors immediately brought in their subcontractor and the job was done in a matter of days. Our entire project was completed on time and on budget. The contractor Tom, who was on-site daily, relentlessly moved the project forward and have an attention to detail and oversight of the sub-contractors that impressed. He also was flexible and quickly brought in sub-contractors for the unexpected flooring repair, and unscheduled balcony work. The whole experience was positive, and the condo looks spectacular. read more
