Let me start off by saying, I had researched multiple construction companies (reviews, and decided to contact the top 2 that I thought would get our business). Well, needless to say, we went with Pure Energy! Thank goodness for Yelp because it pointed us in the right direction and we have no regrets! I've heard horror stories about contractors not doing a job right, not being transparent, etc. Well, we NEVER had those issues with this company. Right from the get go, Tom, the Project Manager, was absolutely transparent and the level of communication from him was OUTSTANDING!!! Pure Energy took care of everything we needed done from design (architecture, plumbing, electrical, etc) to permits and design - it was the best experience we could ever have had with our garage conversion to an ADU (additional dwelling unit). Wow are these guys great. I have used them twice now in the past 3 years for insurance related repairs in my home. I have insurance with AAA and all my costs minus my deductible were fully covered without issue. Jacob was excellent all around. I originally contacted Nelly, who helped me the first time a few years ago (I believe this was 2018 or 2019), but she contacted me telling me that she was no longer with the company as she moved away, but told me to call them directly and they should be able to help with my issue. I was forwarded to Jacob who helped me with my repairs. I had an issue with my water heater, which ended up leaking through the wall in my roof closet and down one floor through the ceiling of my Master Bedroom closet. AAA sent emergency services (different company) to dry the damage, but no demolition of the affected areas or other work to resolve the issue was done. I then had issues with the contractor AAA originally wanted to send (again, different company) because they told me that the demo was supposed to be done by the emergency services crew that came in. It all turned into one party blaming another and nothing getting fixed. By the time AAA got someone in that could do both the demo and repair, they said I would be waiting about 3 weeks just to get the job started due to other jobs they had booked. At this point I give up on them and call Pure Energy Construction again, as I had worked with them before. Jacob is sent to help me almost immediately. He does all the leg work with the insurance company, just as Nelly did last time. And he has stayed in touch with me to update me on the process every step of the way. A breakdown of my experience with Jake: 1) Process got started almost immediately, once he was able to get in touch with my insurance company. The work began weeks before my insurance company would have even been able to send someone out. He even helped us get in touch with the supervisor at the insurance company and start working with that person, as my original claim rep (at AAA) was being very difficult to get a hold of and went on multiple vacations during the span of my claim. 2) The work they did was excellent. And they stand by it. At first glance it looked great after the repair was done. There was a little bit I was unhappy with that I did not initially notice. I let him know, and he immediately sent the crew back to fix the issue. 3) He kept in touch with me and updated me every step of the way as he was dealing with my insurance. The first check the insurance company sent covered the majority of the costs (minus my deductible). It did end up a little higher than estimated in the long run, which I paid out of pocket at first, but I just got a call from both him and my insurance company letting me know that the remainder should be approved and on its way to me soon. 4) He even gave me a few quotes for other jobs I was considering doing in the future while he was here. (completely unrelated to this insurance repair job). 5) In speaking with my insurance company they told me that due to the leak a carpet cleaning in the affected area would be covered. They would just have to add this to the estimate sent for the costs. When the insurance company sent someone (Different company) to do this estimate, I told them this and they did NOT add carpet cleaning to the costs. When I told Jake this he made sure to include the carpet cleaning in the cost breakdown for insurance, and it was fully covered. So not only did they do a great job, but they got more out of it for me than the insurance company's contractor would have, at no additional cost to me (as my deductible remains the same and all other costs are covered). I highly recommend these guys for any insurance related repairs as they have helped me with this twice now and been great every time. read more

With all the rain we'd been getting, I noticed that the trim (inside) around my picture window in my living room was warping and bulging away from the wall, an obvious indication that there was a leak somewhere and water was getting down in the wall. I looked around for contractors to come help me out. Pure Energy's estimate was on the higher side but I felt like they would do a thorough job. I should also note that several years ago, this same wall and picture window had a leak and at *that* time, the water was coming out the bottom onto my living room floor. I hired a *different* contractor back then, who allegedly fixed it and all was well until I noticed with these most recent rains the warping window trim. Back to current day -- clearly, water was still getting into the wall and window and the initial problem had not been fully solved. I tried getting in touch with the former contractor, to no avail. Wouldn't even answer my calls. Enter Pure Energy. I got an estimate for repairing the wall/window, as well as for putting gutters around my entire house (I only had gutters along one portion of my house). Estimate was quick, fair, but as mentioned a little on the higher side. But, the work was quick and hopefully it has finally, officially fixed the leak! Alas, the rains have ebbed so it won't get fully battle tested until we get another monsoon-like rainstorm but crossing fingers this is the last time I will have to deal with this! read more

Highly recommend pure energy. I got a quote from a sales rep about 3 months ago for 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. the guy was knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to answer all mine and my uncle's questions. We decided to sign a contract with them out of 7 other quotes we got prior. Their bid was not in the low end but it felt right and we could take advantage of the company first call discount that made it even more affordable for us. It may seem like overkill to engage a contractor to install an HVAC system. Our ceiling cassette mini-split system implementation required some coordination...but, more importantly, accountability. If something went wrong, I did not want a situation where the air conditioning installer was blaming the framer...and vice-versa. These systems are not cheap; professional, licensed installation performance is of the essence. It's true that I could have saved a bit by hiring individual subcontractors, but, in this case, it was undeniably worthwhile. Jacob Poura arrived promptly at the appointed time and, after a brief discussion, was able to provide a firm quote. The project was scheduled for the following week and began promptly. More importantly, the work was concluded on-time and on-budget. Jacob ensured that all work was done to the highest professional and safety standard. Finished work left the site completely unblemished. The crews were careful and respectful; all that was needed was a light dusting. Finally, and most significantly, the system works perfectly. It's quiet and effective...totally changes the character of the space. Bottom line: Pure Energy can handle your projects of scale, but should be considered even for small jobs. I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with Pure Energy, and specifically the project Manager Ben, as I contracted them to do repairs on my condo following a big leak. Super responsive, always went the extra mile to make us happy, very high quality and professional construction work (drywall, paint, electric, flooring), and met the timeline promised without any surprise costs at the end of the project. We had experienced a huge leak from above that caused us to have to deal with the HOAs insurance, our own carrier, water mitigation, etc. and it basically took us 4 months to get anywhere on the repairs. But I found PE on Yelp, after talking with 2-3 shady contractors, and they truly were the shining light at the end of this horrid experience. Ben promised 3 weeks, delivered in 3 weeks. I let him know the budget, he met the budget (major props to Tom for approving the work in good faith). They went above and beyond and we are beyond satisfied. Most of all, they are just good people and trustworthy, which is important when going through a situation where your home is a damaged and you feel vulnerable. Pure Energy's consultant came by my place to measure the work area the other day and said this is a super easy , small job. He claimed that he can get this done in one to two days. He gave me an estimate of $4000 (Other construction companies quoted $2800 -$3200) but i still decided to give this job to Pure Energy because the consultant told me that his crew can start the job ASAP. The next day the person who gave me quote told me that after he talked with his worker, they want $12,000 in order to get "this job done properly." It seems to me that they are just trying to brush off this job. It's very disappointing and unprofessional. I called Tom Friday 8/31 afternoon , holiday week-end and he came Monday , 9/3/18 Labor Day ,to assess the scope of tile work to be done at our guest room and provided us a reasonable quote. My husband and I already hired Tom to do our kitchen renovation and tile work at our living room, kitchen and family room last March 2018 .
