The level of incompetence, miscommunication, and sheer negligence is astonishing. As if the home buying/selling process wasn't stressful enough, this company was the cherry on top. Do not trust the Yelp reviews are they couldn't be more inaccurate with regards to my experience. Not only did they give me competing information, but caused incredible stress and a lot of money. I was due to close on another property - needing the funds Pure Logic was handling - when they fumbled simple instructions multiple times. They not only wasted dozens of hours of my time but offered no solutions - blaming their mistakes (as in multiple mistakes) on policies and bank regulations. I naively thought I could schedule contractors to come in and start work based on the timeline they provided. I should have known better. The delays and cancellation fees I'm currently experiencing are in the thousands thanks to Pure Logic's inability to do the job we are paying them for. Beware. read more

I have been a full time California agent in business since 1986. I was forced to use this escrow company and escrow officer, Mary Yoon, because I was the buyers agent. I am a service oriented agent and I use a lender and escrow officer who all display the same attitude and have an incredible work ethic. I expected that escrow instructions would come back quickly and they took at least one week. The response time from Mary was very slow. She didn't have much initiative and I had to light a fire under her fanny to get HOA docs ordered. Then the HOA docs that arrived were incorrect so we had to wait until just before COE to get the correct HOA docs. Mary said she over nighted my check and it never showed up.....NEVER. I had to contact the global delivery company because Mary was "too busy" to contact them. I was told the check was lost. Most agents expect to be paid after COE. I contacted her manager of the branch and left 2 messages and she never returned my call. Her name is Monica. The receptionist kept telling me she was at lunch. NO return call because she already knows the skill level of her escrow officers. My broker had to get involved and call escrow officer Mary Yoon. Pure Logic said they would Fed Ex my check and finally 5 days later it came. Meanwhile my buyers were still waiting for their refund check from escrow.....it took nearly 3 weeks. Please run don't walk from this escrow company. I would rather loose an escow than deal with them ever again. I have never experienced this many mistakes and such poor service from any escrow company in California. My escrow number was #202947-MY and I'm sure the manager will never research this escrow. She never called me back and service starts at the top. read more

This is a very frustrating company to work with! We had a very simple for sale by owner escrow that was supposed to close in 4 weeks. 6 weeks later, we still have not received the proceeds from the sale!!! Communication from Mark Martinez and his team is not good! They do not have Zoom capabilities, and they rarely respond to emails or voice messages!!! Again, very frustrating!!!! I definitely do not recommend this company!!! Spend the extra $$$ and get a competent Escrow company that does not try to hold on to money that does not belong to them!!!! read more

From the moment we signed a purchase contract communication and follow through has been miserable. After our escrow deposit deadline hit I still hadn't heard from Pure Logic. I had to call them to get information to wire our deposit. As I'm writing this review we are supposed to close in 3 days and it's been more of the same throughout the process. We are having to ride PL to get paperwork done, none of which has been timely. We sent funds via ACH and they returned the funds saying they can't take a direct bank transfer and say it would be 7days to get my money back. So we tried again and wired funds for closing. Now we can't get anyone to return a call or email. I saw the other reviews. I don't know what has happened, but the team that has my file has really let me down. I'd love to give a better review, but these issues have been consistent. I won't do another deal with Pure Logic Escrow. This is way too much money and too important to deal with these type of issues. read more

Pure Logic Escrow is now being investigated by the Department of Business Oversight. My contract called for the escrow fees to be paid 50/50, but they were giving the seller a free escrow. When I questioned the fees, they saw to it that an addendum to the contract was drawn and signed by both seller and buyer (without my knowledge) saying each would pay their own fees. This was all done behind my back and my poor clients had no idea, so they signed it. This was done, because this company is unethical. They kept adding and subtracting fees to have my clients pay the entire escrow fees. Don't use this company. read more

I had my first experience working with Pure Logic Escrow because the agent on the other side of the transaction chose the escrow company. The escrow officer was Mark Martinez, and he was great to work with. This was an escrow with some challenges on both sides of the transaction, and we were the second buyer in on the deal (so his 2nd go 'round on the escrow). At no point did Mark ever lose his cool, make up an excuse for something, or lag in communication. That might sound like a strange compliment because it was all absents of bad things, but if you have been involved in several escrows and know how sideways certain things can get, you will greatly appreciate someone who knows how to stay on top of things and take ownership of their role in the process. He was also a kind person and helpful when you needed something. We ended up closing a day early in a smooth manner. SHARED PERSONAL INFORMATION-VIOLATED The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Pure Logic Escrow Lost my Business due to Terrible Manament and Ownership. Why? Well, my personal and private information (Social Security Number + Driver's License Number + Date Of Birth +) everything a criminal needs to steal my identity was shared without my consent or knowledge. When I discovered this information I brought it to their manager's attention, instantly She denied that it happened and tried to disregard my claim. When I showed her the proof that the breach had occurred, she then again denied that it was an error on their behalf blaming Docusign electronic signature software. Naturally I wasn't feeling too good about how she was brushing this off so I asked to speak to the owner (who was in his office next door over) she said He wasn't available and someone would be contacting me. A couple days later one of the owners contacted me aware of the security breach backing up the managers position of it was the software that lead to leaking my sensitive data. I work with the Docusign platform all the time and anyone who knows this service knows that the user directs the software what to do and who gets what information. I do want to share that the Escrow Officer I worked with was above amazing, great business model, great service, terrible ownership and management. I never got what would have resolved this issue, Owning their mistake and "We're Sorry". That's all it took, General human knowledge. read more
