I bought a Groupon for dysport which I have been getting injected since they invented the product. I have NEVER had a complication with dysport or Botox and have used them for over 25 years. But Pure med spa managed to cause several serious complications. I have total drooping of one eye to the point where it won't open and my vision is blurry. The toxin was not evenly applied and one side of my face is drooping. I am starting to question if what they used was actually Dysport or some cheap Chinese knockoff. PLEASE be careful and insist on seeing a sealed box of your toxin before allowing anyone to inject. I am kicking myself for not doing that. read more

I choose Pure Medical for my laser appointments. I have gone for more than 10 sessions, and was satisfied until the laser treatment left huge burn marks on my skin. When I confronted the technician, she just said "sorry". During the next appointment (I didn't want to go, but I have purchased a package) she did mention that there was another episode like mine with another client, and that they had to recalibrate the machine and now everything is fine. So my burn marks were result of failed maintenance of the equipment, and all I received was "sorry this happened" from the technician. 3 years later I still have burn marks on my skin. read more

Pure Medical Spa scammed me out of Botox. Went in for my initial injection, only about 20% improvement. I called to explain I'm not seeing results, the receptionist stated "they don't use quality Botox here" they offered to try it a second time. Nothing. They told me that most likely it was my muscle/skin?? I've been getting Botox for a long time and never had that issue but I believed them since our bodies change. A few months later I went elsewhere to try Botox and lo and behold, results coming as early as 2 days with 40 units less than they injected at Pure Spa. I wrote the company for almost 2 months and left 3 messages with no responses from either . I finally called yesterday and I needed to refuse to hang up so someone would address this easy yes or no questions from months ago that was addressing my concerns. Of course the receptionists played immature games and put me on hold, but just made me more sad they work for such a terrible company and don't have the support of a manager or owner to assist with complaint's. Was told no refunds after 2 weeks. It is also in the consent I signed. But the consent also says they were giving me Botox which they obviously could not have or I would not be writing this right now. They LIED to me and are most likely lying to you. Just wanted to share my experience, I went in for this deal (photo attached) and it was not unlimited. After 20 units I had to pay 10 dollars for any additional Botox units purchased. So either this is fake advertising, to get clients to come in, or they just wanted to outsmart me. I paid with no complaint, the service here didn't seem worth the time to say anything. Whomever administered the Botox was in a rush, I've gotten Botox many times before and it has never hurt as much as it did here. It seems they just want you in and out. The nurse was not very empathetic nor gentle, and didn't care to listen to my opinion on what I wanted done and which areas. I do not recommend if I could put zero stars I would. read more

They're nice and had good experiences with Botox but note when you book an appointment and get a very clear 15 minute window for your appointment they actually triple book and "the policy is seen within an hour" which I have never seen before. Fun fact! Every med spa dilutes their Botox but places like pure med dilute theirs more than other which is why it is so cheap! I've been getting the same number of units in the same exact spot for years. I've gone to multiple places and have had amazing results. I've gone to pure med a couple different times and have the same exact results here and only here. I still have movement as if I never got any Botox. After the last time I came here, I went to my doctor for Botox instead (with amazing results) and they said it's likely because they dilute it way too much. I still gave 2 stars because the staff is very friendly and it's easy to book/reschedule appointments here but that doesn't mean anything if customers are leaving with little to no results! read more

Maybe a week later, I had Nicole at Oak Brook administer my lip filler and it was a very positive experience!! Absolutely ignorant and transphobic staff. I approached the front desk to two women (one older one younger) and told them I was in for a laser appointment. They asked my name and info and confirmed it, buy when the young woman's the counter was asked to do my treatment she straight up said "I don't want to", to which the older woman replied "you can't say no". If she communicated a lack of confidence, I may have written it off as nervousness, but the "you can't say no" immediately set of giant red flags for me, and felt like she was saying "I don't want to treat this person". The treatment itself was very brief and did not feel thorough or thoughtful like it has at other clinics that I have been to. The women I worked with just glided the machine over my face and occasionally lasers a section of my face. I've had laser done in my face before, and the other clinic a I've visited have been methodical and thoughtful about their treatment, but here, I was in and out in maybe 10-15 minutes. Been getting Botox for 10 years, never been asked if I wanted to tip my injector. The Botox was more than $350 and I was pushed into a $70 tip... to my Botox injector?? Very shady, unprofessional business and seriously weird. What I encountered: Front desk says to the injector who did someone else's and ended up doing mine- I have a "real treat coming your way" and venmos something which makes her squeal a little. I wonder if she was happy with the tip I gave her? $75 for about eight minutes worth of injecting seems like a pretty good tip! Do not recommend. read more

Juan Carlos was my go-to for Botox -- as an esthetician of over 20 years, he was one of the best! Unfortunately, he is no longer at this location. I was given to someone else today, who didn't even bother to introduce herself. When I walked back to the room, I was shocked to see that the treatment chair did not appear recently disinfected, and a staff member was in the room using her cell (so unprofessional). I felt the injection was extremely rushed, and had bleeding for over an hour afterward. The cherry on the cake was that I booked an IPL facial to be done at this same appointment, but since the Botox was done first, I could not have it done -- this is a *glaring* error on their part. Needless to say, I won't be back for Botox, and after I get my IPL facial (already bought with a Groupon), I will say farewell to this most unprofessional of day spas. Avoid Avoid Avoid. read more

This review is based on my initial experience trying to schedule an appointment. I booked an appointment yesterday online for today at 6PM which was available on their website. I called afterwards to confirm because the email confirmation didn't state time or address. The woman on the phone said they only had a 3pm available. I said the earliest I can go is 6pm which is what I booked. She asked again if I can instead come at 4 or 530 which I responded no. She then said to come at 6pm after all. I received a call at 7AM this morning from someone else at Pure Medspa, canceling my appointment, and asking me to come in at 2 PM instead. I said no, I will be scheduling elsewhere. I then proceeded to receive multiple (6 texts) confirming a 3PM appointment and a 6PM appointment after they cancelled on me and I told them I was not interested in booking anymore. Now I received texts saying I missed my appointments which i never even had booked. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication and lack of professionalism with the people who work at the front desk/scheduling. Booking an appointment should not be such a mess, leaves a very bad taste for the entire medspa. read more

I went to Pure Medical Spa after a coworker recommended it to me for Botox injections. I don't get a lot done, just between my eyebrows. The front desk staff were friendly, and Angela who did my injections was also very friendly. I felt comfortable there and they got me in quick and then right out the door with ease. There is also an app you can use here to accumulate points and get discounts, called Allē. Because I got 20 units of Botox, I earned $20 on Allē. The girls working here seem like a bunch of amateurs. From the desk to the "doctors" they all seem like they no nothing or don't really care about their patients. Just a quick cash grab from unknowing and/or new clients. They ALWAYS have a Groupon which says a lot. If there's ALWAYS a sale, there's probably a reason. I paid to have red marks and veins removed and after their treatments the results showed nothing. Money wasted. They also shot lasers nearly a centimeter from my eye while they asked me to hold a (popsicle) stick to cover it which could've been serious had they shot into it. Somehow they all received huge tips that seemed to automatically add to my credit card charge. Read and heed warnings from the other reviews. I've been there twice which is one too many. read more

I did an IPL session on my face and chest with Sandra at the Dearborn location. She did a thorough job which I really appreciated. I then had my second IPL session with Zina at Skokie. She also did a very thorough job and was patient to listen to what I was looking to achieve. I recommend both Sandra and Zina for IPL services. I've had services with Dr. Danita and Sarah as well. Both did a nice job. Dr. Danuta doesn't communicate very much whereas Sarah is very communicative which I personally prefer. I have had a few issues with other estheticians there and even the owner. The service of the entire clinic is average, but the two estheticians I mentioned are great. read more

They get 5 star reviews because they give people 20 dollars off the bill when you pay. You have to do it right after the work is done when you can't tell the results. You have to show them the review before they deduct the 20 and then check you out. They should lose their license for using Botox they have watered down so much it only lasts a month. Do a search and you will see tons of complaints about this. They don't back their work either, they wanted me to pay to get it 'touched up' when it wore off after a month. Yeah they are cheap but who cares if it doesn't work? Also if you search reviews on them, lots o pics of messed up fillers ect.
