Most reviewers even said they were very punctual and on-time. Well ... not so much for us. The first time they were supposed to pick it up we waited for them to arrive, only to find out the truck broke down on the highway and they eventually canceled. OK, that is fine. Not under their control really (mostly ). Second attempt they had a time slot of 9-11 to pick up the piano. We had the house ready, cars moved, and waited. At the last minute they canceled. They said it was because we indicated we had to be out of the house in the afternoon. That wasn't a hard deadline as we just wanted to get stuff done in the afternoon, and we could have slipped a bit. Also, that was an hour after the initial pickup window. So the second time we were left staring at our sold piano that cannot be moved by this company. I expected some extra effort on their part for this move since they dropped the ball the first time, but no. I have no idea if these are the best piano moves on the planet. Their motto is "WE-FEAR-NO-PIANO", and I guess since they never got to see our piano in person, they can still claim that. Our move would have been super simple as it was on ground level, lots of street access, and two possible exit points. In any case, good luck with your scheduling these movers. We gave up and hired the competition.

Given that the price difference was minimal and that it would have been easier for him to do a single session instead of coming here twice, I appreciate that he recommended the separate sessions to give the piano time to settle before subsequent fine tuning. He also recommended an in-piano dehumidifier as my location is very humid (which is true) and there are visible signs of moisture damage inside the piano. I appreciate that he informed me of this, but without being pushy about it.

Jian arrived on time, after examining he quoted me a price of $145 for medium level tuning and recommended 6 month retuning. It took him about 1 1/2 hours. He needed bright light and absolute quiet. He even had us turn off the heater. One key was stuck and he fixed that as well. I had looked around- several music teachers do this as a side job and a local person wanted more than double for the same service. If you want dependable, high quality workmanship at a reasonable price this is the place!

Our move is a short distance drive (only 10 minutes drive between two homes) with a few stairs in both places. They finished the whole job in less than an hour. But that already included them pivoting the piano several times as an attempt to go through a very narrow patio with two doors, the team finally decided to take one of the door down, and lift the piano up straight so that the piano could go through. It took them about 15 minutes to move my piano from the truck to our new home - and that included the team cleaning/wiping off the dusts off from the back of the piano. My piano isn't a high-end model. Rather it's an old piano (30~ years) that my mom bought for me when I was a child and now my kid uses it to practice. I still play on that piano too. The team wrapped it well and took care of the move perfectly! I don't move my piano often - like once every 10-12 years. I sent them pictures which weren't clear so they said they would come out to see my piano in person to give a better, more accurate quote. Aimee communicated with me through email and she was very responsive. Shawn came out to my house to review the piano. Shawn is very knowledgeable and pleasant person to work with. We're moving this Friday and he said that there wasn't enough time to fix the wheel. But he gave us directions on what we could do and gave us instructions on how to do the repair. He referred us to sites we can get our replacement parts as well as tips on how to fix our piano. I felt so bad that he came out, helped us and we didn't given him any business so I thought the least I could do is spread the word on how great their service is. I 100% recommend S&A! =)

I used Jacobsen Transfer to move my Knabe 6'4" mahogany grand piano out of my house to a piano…read morere-builder. They had to bring it down an outside double stairway, one stairway very narrow and steep. I have moved this piano three times before, both in New York City and then across the country. I last brought it into my house thirty years ago, and I know the weight and difficulty first hand as the original movers back then showed up with only two men. I had to assemble some neighbors to assist and bring it up the same stairs into the house. There were five of us, all untrained, yet we somehow made it. This time, Jacobsen correctly had the five men as needed, as well as the proper tools and clearly the experience to ensure the safe descent. It was like watching a well choreographed team as they worked together with singular guidance to bring it down to street level without a hitch. If I ever bring in another piano, I know who I'll call on again. Also note that we had to reschedule the job a few times due to wet weather, but they would not risk the move unless they could ensure a safe environment as well as having enough men for the job. While some lighter pianos could be moved with fewer hands, they well knew the size and weight of my piano required five and wouldn't attempt without, nor would they add any risk that might be caused by inclement weather; exactly the right protocols. Hats off to a great company and the team, and much thanks to all.

I wanted to watch the whole operation but didn't want to make him nervous haha. Then, after the move was completed, he played it a bit and revealed that it had been muted, for who knows how long, and showed me where the mute slide was. I then got to hear its full voice for maybe the first time ever. Amazing. Sadly our new home flooded the following week and we had to move the piano a little for the mitigation and will probably need to move it around some more for renovations but at least we know who to call if we need help. The price seemed fair enough and the picture seemed to match the description, however, the amp I received was a far cry from either. It arrived in an unsalvageable old furniture box, poorly packed, and absolutely beat to death. The model JC 120 that was delivered was not the same amplifier as the one advertised. It was hardly functional, the cabinet was cracked and tattered, channels popping and fizzing and knobs mostly not functioning. On top of that, it was filthy. Anyone who has ever played through a JC 120 knows that these are heavy amps that require casters to move them in any reasonable fashion. While pictured with the clean amp in the listing (the one that I did not receive), the tattered and battered model that was delivered to me did not have them. So here I am, essentially stuck with a useless burned out shell of a JC 120 that's basically immovable by one person without a hand truck. See pictures below. Guitar Wars knowingly scammed me out of $800+, don't let it happen to you. Please keep in mind, this did not happen in shipping. This was very much orchestrated intentionally. I got a quote from Richie and one other contractor in Concord for buildable removal, but decided to go with Richie even though his quote came in a little higher. He did a good job answering my questions and I like that he is local. Richie was able to get the permits and start the job ~6 weeks later. Appreciate he was a willing to coordinate around my business trip. Also, the weekend before they were to start we found out one of our neighbors was planning a backyard gathering on Monday. I texted Richie on the weekend and he said no problem, they would start on Tuesday. Once the team showed up to start the job, they were great at communicating what they were planning each day. They had to remove a section of fence and a small greenhouse to gain access. They also decided not to risk damaging our old driveway with the heavy trucks, so fill dirt was dumped in the street and transferred to the backyard with the bobcat. This showed me that they really care and are thoughtful about what they are doing. I was able to go to work each day without worrying about being there to supervise. The team showed up each day as scheduled and after the concrete demo, rebar cutting, ~28 truck loads of dirt dumped in the hole and compacted, the job was completed in ~9 business days as estimated. They did a good job cleaning up and hauling everything away. ~2 weeks later I passed the city inspection and received the signed permit. PURE PROS MOVERS provided THE BEST experience one could possibly have while moving. The quote I received over the phone was very reasonable, their communication was great, received 2 confirmation phone calls and movers showed up on time. Mattis, Valera and Alex greeted me with kindness and a readiness to start. I warned them from the beginning, if I started to cry during the process, please ignore it, I was just emotionally exhausted. Mattis told me not to worry, and assured me that I wouldn't be crying anytime soon. Now...I don't know if these guys attended Clown College or not, but if so, I'm sure they graduated with honors. I've never laughed so hard during a move! I'm usually too busy bitching and complaining. Yet, during the witty comments and joking around, they never skipped a beat and worked consistently and diligently until the job was done. They had great personalities, all of them, which made working with them more enjoyable. They wrapped up my furniture with care and loaded everything on the truck faster than I expected. Never ONCE did they drag their feet. In fact, they seemed sensitive and cognitive of the fact that moving is charged by the hour, and they used their time wisely. THANK GOD I recently learned that you are supposed to tip movers! I've never tipped movers in the past, and feel like a chump!! Well, perfect timing....because if ANYONE deserved a tip for efficiency and the care of my belongings...it was these guys!! Mattis and Valera went above and beyond the call of duty. They often checked on me, to make sure I was doing okay, and every time I went to move something myself, one of them was there to promptly take it and say "Don't worry about that, let me get it..." The final bill was a match to my quote, no funny business, no added charges, just great service at a good price. The next morning, I received a call from the manager, asking how the move went. They wanted to confirm that my needs were met and everything was satisfactory. OUTSTANDING! Well...except for one small thing. I suggested, in the future, they might want to warn their female customers how good looking the movers are. (Good looking movers? Who knew?) This was an unexpected shock and terribly disappointing since my hair was piled on top of my head and had no make-up on. (I mean, who wears make-up while moving?) Just my luck, 3 handsome movers show up and I'm a complete GRUB HOUND!! I said to give me a heads up next time. At the very least I could've brushed my hair and put on some lipgloss. read more

The Pure Movers experience, and specifically Roman and his crew is absolutely everything that we could have hoped for ~ we are so grateful for the care and professionalism (great price as well) that i can whole heartedly say these guys are the best in the business. Let's face it, packing up fragile items and a lot of household possessions is a LOT of work... We had six guys that packed up my office Couch, Mirrors, Tables, Computers, Desk, Supplies as well as our 2BR Condominium all of which was full of fragile high end furnishings On top of that the guys had to carefully maneuver 8 flights of stairs with two heavy couches, handle expensive and fragile light fixtures, remove large wall mounted flat screen 4k TVs, completely pack the kitchen and all of our possessions. They were happy, friendly and totally high energy effective with amazing grace for 11 hours The move also included the same kind of totally friendly and helpful execution on the other end of the delivery ~ the accurately identified boxes were then delivered to the correct location and all of the rugs and furniture were installed and moved around until everything looked the way that we hoped. Again, you can't fake this ~ Roman and his crew were so good at what they do, and were joyous in the execution of the process.... so impressive. We will absolutely use them again and will be recommending Roman and his crew to everyone that is planning a move. This was my first experience with a moving company so I did what any normal 21st century future man would do and scoured yelp for recommendations. Pure Movers weren't on the top of the pile in terms of sheer review volume, not by a long shot. In fact, I had to research about ten different companies before landing on my decision to book with PM. Since I didn't know much about moving companies and their respective services, rates, or the strong possibility for blowhard review practices (seriously, every company out there is a "5 star" company), searching through reviews using specific key words is how we made our decision during the final countdown. Key words that were called to action: Communicative. Professionalism. Meticulous. Candid. Equivalence. PM were the only company that were consistently awarded these marks in review. It was a shot in the dark but a bullseye on the other side. JJ and his crew deserved every accolade prior reviewers had tossed their way and then some. They called 30 min prior to arrival, made sure we were both on the same page with the rates that were given in the quote, exercised civility with my (now former) roommates and myself, planned every packing detail ahead of time, wrapped delicates like an ancient Egyptian, proposed accurate timeframes, and itemized the move at the end for reconciliation. My favorite aspect? I didn't have to repeat myself. Not once. When you're under such physical duress, that is quite the accomplishment. Bravo. read more

Was interested in using Pure Pro Movers for the second time and after speaking with them on the phone I can't see myself using their services again. As a potential repeat customer, I was shocked how unaccommodating this company is. This type of business should recognize people have difficult schedules and should offer flexibility. I need to make a two-day move because of the one day gap in my apartment leases. So the first day would just consist of packing up and loading a truck; not the move into the new place. I asked if they would be willing to do the move at 6p. Answer: NO. I asked if they could do it at 5pm. Answer: Unlikely, our movers like to get the moves done early and not have to do moves into the evening. Well thank you so much for your efforts to be to try and work around my schedule. Considering all that, I still wanted to get more information in the event I could re-work my schedule. So I gathered some information about the two-day move. They require that the customer pays a 3 hour minimum for BOTH days. In addition there is a overnight storing fee. And, since their headquarters are about 45 minutes from the location of the move they count their travel time as part of the hours worked. Honestly, this is a company I gave five stars after using their services last year and based on the level of service I got today, they dropped to a 1-star company in my book. read more

I have not used movers in the Bay Area so I wasn't sure what to expect. We found Pure Movers as a recommendation from a friend who recently used them in the Peninsula and all the reviews checked out with our friend's experience. We filled out an online form and received emails and calls within minutes. Scheduling was quick and easy and pricing was very transparent, no sneak charges or shady tactics. We received text reminders and confirmations leading up to the move day. This morning, we received a text from Anton and Slava about 30 minutes before their arrival. They arrived on time and perfectly in our time slot. Anton and Slava did not fool around or waste any time. They explained their plan and worked super hard and efficiently the entire time and were completely professional the whole time. We were so thankful to have Anton and Slava helping us today, they helped package and place everything exactly how and where we asked. The rates were totally transparent and very reasonable, they arrived exactly when they promised, and worked quickly and carefully the whole day. Can't say enough good things, it truly made our move so much less stressful. I highly recommend Pure Movers and you should specifically request Anton and Slava if you can. I can't believe how long it's taken me to write this review but I've been telling everyone I know how amazing my experience with Pure Movers was earlier this month so that counts for something, right? Like most leasing decisions here my roommate and I found out we could move into our new home within a day and on the morning before I scrambled and found Pure Movers. They had an open cancellation and I hopped on my chance to use this company. The reviews are 100% correct and I couldn't have been more pleased with the team that helped us switch houses. I moved from a two bedroom townhome stuffed with furniture, mirrors, pictures and kitchen supplies (we're very girly and love to decorate) to a three bedroom home and was recommended to book four movers and a truck. I grabbed the earlier available time at 9am and the team was texting me upon arrival and showed up with 15 minutes to spare. They examined the load and started the move. Within 5 hours these guys disassembled, loaded, carried, drove the distance to my new abode and unloaded everything and reassembled all furniture (TV's demounted and hung, too!). I was so incredibly impressed by the speed and the service. Sasha, Roman, Oleg and Popov are strong, capable, and KIND. Love this company and hope to not move any time soon but If I had to I'm choosing them!!! read more

I know that moving is really stressful, and that was the first time I had to move so far, all the way to San Francisco. That's why I called these guys, I saw a lot of reviews from clients that have been moved up north, so I called the office and asked them to give me the best guys they have, so they did:) Mattis and Max showed up on time, were clean and look professional, they wrapped my furniture like it was worth a million dollars and stacked it into the truck in such a way that it become a solid geometric structure. I was surprised that it was even possible, and all the way these guys were making jokes and laughing like it was nothing for them, very professional. They hit the road right after the load ..... They managed to get to San Francisco only in 7.5 hours which surprised me lot, good timing guys. They unloaded in 2 hours and my place is ready for the house warming party :) Mattis and Max made my move very painless and I think they r totally worth the money I paid for them. Plus, of course, they totally deserved a really good tip, just my opinion..... :) but if somebody made u smile during such a stressful thing as moving, u have to give them your gratitude, and I did. Let me start off by saying that this company was great from start to finish. When I was calling other companies to compare prices (a month ahead of our move) I heard some outrageous pricing and had some other company that was so rude to tell me I was calling too early (excuse me, don't you want to know you have future clients scheduled = future revenue?!). Pure movers was the most reasonable pricing I found with the friendliest service who actually gave me kudos for planning ahead. Little did I know, great customer service on the phone was just the start of their superb quality. I couldn't be more happy with the movers that helped us this weekend. Nikolai and Peter were the sweetest, most helpful, and careful movers we could have ever imagined. They were on time and were very thorough on listening to what needed to be done and making sure they covered everything needed. They carefully took apart all our furniture, wrapped up and padded items individually and handled them with care. They made putting everything back together seem effortless and they were so careful when putting things in and paid extreme detail to not knick any furniture or walls. Pure Movers SF was recommended to us by a friend so we booked them today for the move of our 2 bedroom apartment in SF to a storage facility in Walnut Creek. We hired 3 gentleman, Anton, Viktor, and David and they were FANTASTIC. Cannot say enough wonderful things about how professional, communicative, transparent, and respectful they were. They were incredibly meticulous with wrapping up our furniture, putting a runner down to protect our floors, walking us through the best way to package our items to save us time during the move. They were also incredibly polite. They worked SO hard and didn't waste any time. Our move took about 8 hours (including drive time) and they were dedicated, hard working, and commutative every step of the way, including when we had to get a bigger storage unit at the last minute. They were so patient and accommodating. We will absolutely be booking them again for a future move. Well worth the price and such a great team of movers. This is my second time moving with Pure Movers and it was a great experience once again! Roman, Will and Andrew showed up with their masks on and took care of everything - disassembling furniture, wrapping everything for safety, moving and reassembling. When they arrived at the new place I showed them quickly where things should go and they handled it perfectly while I was busy with some work on the patio. Great communication all the way through. Some tips: - Check if your building will let you reserve the elevator for your move so the movers can go back and forth as efficiently as possible. - If you live on a street that has strict parking restrictions, apply for a permit for the day so the moving truck doesn't get a citation (which you'd have to pay for). - If you're on the fence about how many movers to use go up. Even with my small apartment (moving from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom) I think a 4th mover would have paid itself off in fewer hours because of how well they divide up the work. - Take care of your movers! We put bottles of water and Gatorade out in a cooler because our move happened on a HOT day. Thanks for making my move easy, again! read more

Alex and Lucas from Pure Movers were professional, quick, and thorough in helping me move apartments. I really appreciate that they provided packing material to help with the move (blankets, plastic wrap, boxes, tape, etc). They carefully plastic wrapped all of my furniture, which gave me peace of mind when they loaded their truck. At my new apartment, the garage door and my front door screen were perpendicular to each other. They unscrewed the screen door to expedite the move and before they left, they reattached the screen door. Lucas took apart my massive bed frame and reassembled it where I wanted in my new apartment. There was a loose trimming on my wooden TV stand and I had a feeling it was going to fall off during the move. Lucas was super handy and reattached the trimming when it came off. I goofed and accidentally packed away the keys to my garage lock where I kept additional boxes that needed to be moved. As soon as they unloaded the furniture and boxes, Alex and Lucas went back to my apartment to pick up the remaining boxes in the garage. They were super chill and efficient, I would definitely recommend Pure Movers and use them again. read more

[I'm posting this on behalf of my parents.] We employed Pure Movers in San Jose to move part of our home to an assisted living residence. Because they did such an excellent job, we thought that a review and comments were deserved. We tried Pure because their ratings showed them the highest in the San Jose area and our conversations with them were thorough and helpful. A list of items important to us follows: * Customer service were available immediately. Me and my boyfriend decided to move from Anaheim, Orange County, to Costa Mesa, Long Beach area. We asked our friends about their experience, then browsed yelp and decided to stop on Pure Pros Movers. We heard that it is a reliable and trustful moving company, so we wanted to check it on our personal experience. Luckily, the entire moving process was great! We were assigned with 3 movers, Andy, Pete and Danny. The movers arrived on time, called me 15 minutes prior to reconfirm they are coming, and got straight to the work. The movers were extremely careful and easy-going. They are really polite and ready to help you with anything which connected to moving. Very professional and courteous movers. The movers packed all my furniture and other valuable items. Nothing was damaged, the movers wrap everything and really take care about your stuff. Moving can be such a pain in the ass. I wanted to hire a reputable company with a five star rating so I started doing research. I came across a few companies that had lots of 5 star reviews but only one stood out. The majority of their reviews were all signing their praises so I decided to proceed with Pure Moving Company Pure Moving responded quickly to my request for a quote and provided me with a ton of important information and broke down exactly what I would and wouldn't get charged for. They were flexible with their schedule and got me on the books with only 4 days notice. Our movers were Deni & Oleg. These guys were not only punctual but very fast and efficient. I mainly had furniture to move with some big heavy items. Deni and Oleg made sure that each item was handled properly and their attention to detail to protecting each item was perfect. In addition, they're both very nice people and made sure that I was satisfied with everything they did. I'm glad they were scheduled to be our movers. Great service! I just want to shout out loud to tell you the great experience which i got from Pure Pros Movers. Trust me, this moving company provides excellent service! It was such great and convenient experience to move using this moving company services! We moved from a private house to 3 bedroom apartaments, so i really wanted to get help from professionals. Pure Pros movers were recommended to me by my friend, so i decided why not to take an advantage of it. First of all i estimated my price of the move on their web site. That is really convinient, then I scheduled an appointment by phone for a day i wanted. The guys were no problem with that and they sent me a truck with 3 guys. They arrived right on time. The entire move the guys were friendly and efficient. I liked the fact how much care they put in. Nothing of my goods were damaged at all. Our entire move was as enjoyable as a move can possibly be. We had 3 days to move from our house in Long Beach to Anaheim, Orange county. What a luck that i called Pure Pros movers. Scheduling an appointment was as easy as possible, the manager did really well and got us an appointment which worked for us. The movers came, packed everything. moved our items from storage units and unpacked at the final destination. It was a really long day, but pure pros made me so quite and stress less, because they did everything on their own. Te movers really took care about our move, they were so gentle with our furniture(we have a looooot of it). They took care about every single thing! Really great. I also wanna mention that movers showed up on time, made a call 15 minutes prior telling me that they are on their way. The movers crew is fantastic. I wanna send a big thanks to Pure Pros Movers moving company for helping me to relocate all my furniture and doo-dads safely! I have never hired movers before and usually i just had whoever who was willing to help me to move, but after a few clumsy friends and coming up short handed this time I decided to finally call this moving company who has great reviews in Orange County and Long Beach area. My friend recommended me this movers. He enjoyed his move and sent tons of compliments to Pure Pros. I was assigned with 3 movers who did an excellent job. Nothing broken, no scratches on my beloved things or door frames or floors. I was moving from Irvine to Long beach, so it was pretty far. I can't say enough good things about Jerry and his team mate with Pure Movers, they picked up my items and delivered to my house in less than two hours! They were so careful with all my items and constantly checked in with me to make sure that everything was to my liking, which it was! At my new house, they moved everything swiftly and placed everything where I wanted it to be, sometimes re-placing because I changed my mind about the positioning. They had such great and happy attitudes which made the experience so wonderful, they really made me feel like they cared about me and my move to my new home; the feeling was almost like having friends help you move. Above all, they were so kind to fix some of my furniture that was broken or needed re-inforcing, they did it on their own accord and being a single lady, I surely appreciated the help in the handyman department! Trust me, no one moving company can beat this guys! Pure Pros Movers are amazing! I was moving from Santa Monica to Venice beach, and we know that moving in the city is a really complicated thing, because it includes rare loading zones, elevator permissions, other permits etc. Pure Pros Movers were on top of it. They handled the difficult move out very well (3rd floor walk up, no elevator) and never complained. Special thanks and respect to the movers, they are professionals. They know how to pack your stuff, how to move your stuff and how to do all these things safely. When we arrived to the final destination, movers knew how to handle everything and put all my stuff with prior asking me. Even though it was a long and a hard day, the movers were polite and helpful the entire time. Pure Pros Moving company was the best i've ever worked with. If moving companies could get 10 stars, Pure Pros Movers gets a solid 15! Great communication from start to finish. I confused the guys by changing an appointment (my bad) but they stayed professional and made no trouble with that! I got a call one day prior and 30 minutes prior the appointment (which is great, they did exactly what i have asked). The crew consisted from 3 guys( 2 movers and one driver-mover) arrived on time, thanks for promptness and punctuality. Each one introduced themselves to me and got to the job. I had no problem with leaving my place during the move knowing that all my belongings were in great hands of Pure Pros Movers. I was really nervous about the whole process, because i was moving from the apartment I've lived in for 5 years! Everything was really good and i had no reason to stress out. We were very careful to explain the amount of stuff we had and explained the level of help we would need in order to pack all of our crystal, china and other precious heirlooms. We were prepared to spend a long day with a big crew to accomplish our move. We were happy with the estimated cost of under $3K. We understood that there might be extra charges if it took more time or if more packing materials were used. The final cost to us was a lot more than the estimate (nearly $5K instead of the estimated ~$3k). But the movers performed their work professionally and carefully and handled our precious heirlooms with the care we had hoped for - by far the best care we have ever had from a moving company. We understand how tricky estimating can be and we've moved many times in the last two years and were initially shocked and unhappy that the final bill was so much higher than the estimate. When we expressed our shock and displeasure at the difference between the final cost and the estimate, the GM, Alex, contacted me directly and was so very kind and understanding in wanting to make things right and make sure we were happy with our experience. We worked out a deal that we were ultimately happy with - including having Alex talk with the estimator and the crew about providing clear communication around the potential cost overruns. We were very happy with the service we received. And we were happy to pay the higher price for the top-notch service we got. We were just unhappy initially at the sticker shock. Had we been more aware of the potential cost overruns we would have gladly figured out a way to absorb those costs. Alex promised to provide feedback to his teams so that they understand the importance of good communication. I'm confident that future customers won't have the same sticker shock as a result of Alex's feedback. I would use his team again for any of our future moves!
