Her and I had clear conversation as I was considering switching to membership vs single service . I ended up getting a membership and after a few services realized their spray tan product was actually causing skin acne /rash. I reached out to cancel my membership and they told me the 3 credits I had on file were now gone. This was the opposite of what I had been told. They charge for a membership which guarantees a certain amount of credits then are no longer usable once the membership is cancelled. The company is taking money for providing NOTHING to the customer. This makes zero sense. The credits for cancelled memberships don't even stay active for any period. This company is so unethical. The employees spray tanning also say a "a 20% tip is highly recommended " then proceed to charge 20% on the single service price not the membership price. Ive requested a refund on my credit card and they refused, I requested they credit 3 sessions on my account and they refused. I hope to warn others to be very cautious. I will never give my business to a company like this.

The "rewards" points aren't rewards, they're a sales tactic. I'll have $10 in points sitting on my account and get asked at checkout if I'd like to put it toward a $60 product. No -- having $10 doesn't mean I want to spend $50 more. Similarly, when I have a few waxes left on a package, I'll be told a renewal special is ending soon "in case I want to lock it in" -- a soft-sell disguised as a courtesy. The scheduling is worse. They text reminders so frequently that I'll get one two days before an appointment and another the day before, both expecting a "yes." A few weeks ago I confirmed one of these reminders, drove roughly 30 minutes to get there at the exact date and time it listed, and was told my appointment was actually the following week. I had the text confirmation in hand. No apology, no credit, nothing for the wasted trip. Most recently, I was refused check-in because I didn't have physical ID on me -- I'd left my purse in the car on a 93° day and only brought my phone. The specialist I've worked with for years was in the building and could have easily confirmed who I was, but that wasn't an option. Nowhere in their reminder texts or emails do they mention ID will be required at every single visit, not just at sign-up. Demanding it repeatedly, with no advance notice, feels excessive and unnecessary. Add in consistently terrible parking, and it's just not worth it anymore. After a decade, I'm switching to an independent, sole-proprietor esthetician. You lose the personal touch the moment a good service gets buried under corporate policy.

I kindly explained to her that I was using an underarm wax pass that I had remaining from when I used to wax with EWC several years ago. I no longer wax with EWC (switched to lasering). Took some time to explain to her that I discovered that I had 1 remaining unused wax pass after reaching out to tech support to delete my online personal information. She proceeds to make me feel uncomfortable, then cuts me off with a hmm ok no worries before she abruptly hangs up the phone on me. @EWC just a tip. If your business strategy to bringing in more people is calling them, then being rude to them when they give you a response you don't like you're going to end up losing more customers than retaining. Thank you for reminding me why I stopped waxing with EWC in the first place. Additionally, the underarm wax I did those 6 weeks prior was patchy and the specialist was 20 minutes late. Funny how EWC has such a strict late policy, but can't equally respect other people's time.
