I've been getting my nails done for a long time and this was one of the worst experiences I've had. I came in for Gel-X. The salon said they could provide the service, but during removal the technician treated it like acrylic and began forcing tools between the Gel-X and my natural nail. The tech later admitted she did not know how to properly remove Gel-X. I asked her to stop because I was in pain, but the removal continued and my natural nails were split and bleeding. I had to stop the service, and I left with band-aids on my fingers due to the damage. When my partner came in to help because I was upset, staff threatened to call the police on him. Decided to give this place another chance since it's so close to home. I called in and was able to get a same day appointment for a dip manicure and regular pedicure. I showed up with a specific, and maybe complicated design in mind. When I asked the nail tech if she could replicate it, she said it would be no problem. Great! Everything was going well until I saw the nail technician working on the design. I really wanted to trust the process but the end result had me rethinking my life choices. The nail tech asked me if I liked it, and my only response was "well, it's different than the picture". Because the salon was closing (I had to pay halfway through my service since they were turning off the computer), I decided to just leave and get it redone the next day. I called in the next morning and explained the situation, and they asked me to come in. When I arrived, I showed the girl what I had originally asked for and what I got, so she said they would redo it all no charge and since I no longer wanted the design, they would give me back the $10 I had paid extra. So I pick a solid color and the same nail tech who did thee design changed the color. I was finally happy with the results. When it was time to leave, I had asked about the $10, and the manager said that she was not going to refund since I took up 30 minutes of her nail techs time. When I explained the situation about the design not looking even close to what I asked for and I had said I wasn't happy the night before, the manager kept arguing about taking up her nail tech's time. I decided that they obviously needed the $10 more than I did, so decided to just leave. Do I have plans to come back? Maybe. A good job was done with everything else it. But I also recommend not coming here if you have somewhat complicated designs. For the $165 I paid, I was more than disappointed. read more
