I was lucky to enough to squeeze in an appointment at this salon right before they were closed. The shop shares the same plaza as Jamba Juice and CPK, there's a parking garage if you turn onto Laurelgrove. The shop is spacious, lots of sunlight, has comfie chairs and is located right next to the escalator which makes it easy to find. They use brand new set of tools per customer which makes me super comfortable going to (especially during this pandemic). Def will return when they're open again!!!! read more

Absolutely LOVE this salon! Just went for the first time as I'm new to the neighborhood, and got Gel X full set with a nude/pink polish. Ken was amazing and everyone that works at this salon is so nice. They take their time, listen to what you want and actually deliver (hard to find these days!), and do a fantastic job. Similar to other reviewers it does take a good amount of time but only because they're very diligent - full Gel X set with Gel polish took about 90 mins and was $70. Open during covid, It's September 18, 2020. This is my second outdoor manicure but my first outdoor mani /pedi. I found purity nail salon on yelp because I was desperate to get my nails done after months and I saw good reviews. Ken did my manicure and he was amazing, he filed my nail shape perfectly and took time to go over them carefully, you can tell he has a sense of pride in what he does. Another lady did my My feet and they were a mess when I came in, I had to do the extra callus removal (by choice) but it was worth it, my guess is you probably need it too, don't skimp out on your feet when you come here. You obviously have to wear a mask when you come here (so don't come if you don't want to wear a mask these people are doing their best job and just want to live happy, healthy, stress free lives) They used new equipment on me that had been removed from their packaging in front of me. If you are having a hard time choosing to get your nails done just do it, and come here, they were very nice, friendly and clean. read more

Everyone was amazing here. Lynn did my nails. When I came in I had gel x on that my friend did. Since I haven't been to a nail salon in a while. They were wrecked but she suggest Gel Build to me. && I am extremely happy she did because they came out looking amazing. They do take longer so I would suggest calling to make an appointment and be sure to let them know you are getting gel build. There perfect if you want your nails to look super natural and if you don't like that extra glue underneath the nail that can happen when doing nails differently. Lynn was amazing, you can tell she really loves her job. She took her time to make them perfect. She also made sure to check nothing hurt me && I really appreciate that. The thing I'm most scared about when getting my nails done is having them burn from the tools they use but none of that happened here! My toes came out beautifully also! The salon is gorgeous, clean and inviting. A relaxing atmosphere exists that you don't find at all nail salons. Lynn did an incredible with my gel manicure with nail art. She listened to what I wanted and made very helpful suggestions, and then executed some very cool galaxy nails. Kim did a wonderful gel pedi. Nice nail salon overall. Closest to the hotels in Waikiki when the spas are closed or not offering nail services, this is a good option. They only offered me the deluxe mani and pedi from the book. Not sure if the price book had other options, but they seemed willing to let me walk away instead of offering me something else. Anyway, clean and friendly staff, but I did notice the tools they were using on my feet looked super old/used which is way gross. Yes, they came out of the little sterilization chamber, but the scrub brush, sponge, and pumice stone had seen better days. read more

I'll definitely be back!! I went in for a mani/pedi on Friday morning and it was just lovely. The salon is very nice and bright and exceptionally clean. Everything is Covid safe (partition at the register, everyone in masks, regular cleaning of surfaces, etc.). The chairs were super comfortable and the whole experience was just very relaxing. They are not experts in acrylic nails . I had to remove the gel polish which was very difficult, even though I paid a lot extra for it , then file the nail down and make them thinner and less bumpy . I gave them two chances and asked them to please make them thinner and more natural looking but they never listen and do whatever they think is good . read more

Lyn does good work but reception and customer service is terrible. I tried to schedule in December and I was told I could get my nails done but no design after I was asked if I wanted design or not. Last week I scheduled my appointment for Monday at 4 just to call the day of and apparently my appointment was not booked. So I schedule on Monday for Wednesday at 2 drive 30+ minutes for me to be booked with an entirely different nail tech. I was asked on Monday if I wanted a different nail tech and I said no. Come here if you want your time wasted. So unprofessional. read more

I had gel extensions done for the first time, and my nail tech was the best. She took a lot of care in making sure my length and shape was exactly the way I wanted it. I chose a polish that was thin, so she did three coats to make sure it came out dark enough. It was $85 for over an hour and a half of work. I would definitely recommend this place. WOW! What a great, safe, & clean experience! This is my first time visiting Purity & I enjoyed it! Ken, my nail technician, was attentive to the details even during these crazy times. They have moved their equipment outside & I made an appt for early AM as to avoid the afternoon heat. The shop owner was sweet & offered me bottled beverages. The prices are very affordable $70 for a gel mani + regular pedi. I really liked being able to tip on my card as cash is taboo rn. I absolutely love the salon. I will mention that I initially started coming to this salon because of how clean, talented and professional they are. My last experience wasn't the best but that's my own experience. I do find it unprofessional when I am getting a manicure and pedicure at the same time and both employees are just talking to each other for the entirety of the service. It did make me feel uncomfortable, as if I were in the middle of a conversation I wasn't invited to. It also didn't help that I couldn't understand what was being said. I love hearing other languages spoken, I just feel it didn't need to exceed the entire service. This was my first time having something like this happen here which is why I am not taking away 5 stars. I just hope for future reference this is something that can be easily adjusted. The manager couple was the nicest people. Unfortunately the lady who did my regular manicure messed up my nail and I had to go back there the following week, but she fixed it and it was perfect.
