When we arrived the servers were clearly overwhelmed as they were really busy - however once I informed the waitress that we just wanted drinks and appetizers she was good at thinking on her feet and tell us we could sit outside and order at the bar. Im sure they will figure out their capacity soon and how to manage their waiting list. The cocktails were good, the couple of times we have been they have been out of one or two options. This time they had them all so it looks like they are figuring out how much to order to meet the demand. Completely understandable for a new restaurant. The appetizers are delicious, the service is fast and they have lots of good sharing options. My absolute favorite is the nachos - they are cheesy, loaded with all delicious things, and a great portion size to share. The first time we visited we ordered mains and ended up wishing we had only ordered appetizers. I look forward to trying mains again in a few months once they have had some time to adjust. Having a bunch of different appetizers to share is a great way to enjoy this place! I absolutely love the ambiance at Purple Goat, they have great outdoor area and cool indoor space. This was our second trip to the Purple Goat and we have enjoyed both experiences. The big fireplace gives it a nice warm ambiance. We split the Chipotle Salmon Rice Bowl. If you are a person, like me, who likes to go easy on hot and spicy our waiter shared that you can have the Chipotle Sauce on the side so you can zip it up to your tastes. We split the dish so we would be sure to have room for dessert - french fries and ketchup. This is actually fried pound cake with strawberry jam. The food was really good. The service was terrible. We ordered onion rings, chicken tacos, and a prime rib sandwich. It was busy, so when nobody offered drinks after 20 minutes... okay, that's fine. There's obviously some big tables. We get drinks and not asked if we want to order. Husband finishes his drink to get someone to come to the table. Ordered appetizer with refill. Went to Purple goat with family (2 adults, 3 kids 9,11,15). I ordered the Kranz, my wife the Birria tacos, two kids buttered noodles, one with fries, one with fruit, and one kids grilled cheese with the mashed potatoes. The Kranz burger itself was alright, being a thin smashed burger it's cooked to well. The sauce was good when I began, however that with the bacon and cheese became overpowering, nothing special about the bun. Fries are one step above oven fries, they have been fried. They came unseasoned and unsalted, nothing to rave about, but not bad. My wife stated that her tacos were more or less unflavored, but the birria sauce was good. Rice was dry, black beans looked watery in a little cup. Of the buttered noodles, one kid enjoyed them enthusiastically (11), another thought they tasted like packing peanuts (15). Fries came with one, same as mine, other had fruit. Came in a condiment cup and looked like it had been rescued from the bar garnish tray. (9) had nothing but positive things to say about grilled cheese and mashed potatoes, however none of them enjoyed the prepackaged cookie that came with their meals. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service was good. We may return to try again, but not soon. read more

We came in on 12/28/25 at about 1:30 pm. The service was terrible. Hostess sat us immediately. We watched her walk over to a waitress and let her know she had a table. The waitress stayed right where she was and continued to talk and laugh with 2 of her coworkers for 10 mins. She came to our table and took our drink order. Instead of putting or drink order in or getting it herself. She went roght back to talking with the same 2 coworkers for another 5 mins. She finished talking to them and went to the bar. Before putting in our drink order she started another conversation with a different coworker. It was at this point that we got up and left. This is the second time we've been to your restaurant and the second time we've had terrible service. If I could give a lower rating than 1 star I would. Do better. read more

Honestly, just not good. There was a lot of staff, but they were more interested in talking to each other than greeting or checking in on customers. I ordered the Matador burger. It was massive, as was the size of side of fries. Lot of toppings on the burger so each bite was flavorful, but that's where the good ended. The bun gave up trying to hold things together almost immediately. My waitress was walking around but it took a few minutes to get her attention for some silverware. The burger was tough and dense. I left full, though not really satisfied. Icing on the cake was that waitstaff did not seem to care about guests. This was my first time at this restaurant. The menu was comprehensive. There were at least 4 choices that I wanted. Hard to choose. We had the onion rings as an appetizer. They were fantastic. Be careful 'cos the meals come with (great) french fries--a bit much if you've already had a huge plate of onion rings . Our server, Shaelyn, was the BEST EVER. There were four of us for dinner - and the restaurant seemed reasonably busy, as you might expect in a Saturday night. We were quoted a wait time of "probably thirty minutes, is that okay?" and given a pager - which went off five minutes later. We were really pleased, and headed to a comfy booth. Our server was at the table within a minute of us being seated, she introduced herself (Maggie) and welcomed us...super nice to feel like welcome guests! She took our drink order, asked us if we had any questions, and left us to decide on dinner while she filled our drink order. She was back soon with our drinks, and asked if we were ready to order. One person in our group has a food allergy, and Maggie had several suggestions and tips to take care of his needs - we were über impressed with her menu knowledge and ease. The food was effing fantastic - looked amazing, tasted even better than it looked! "Old man wurst" is a perfectly prepared brat, the Kranz burger is an epic bacon cheeseburger with a unique twist, and the sheet ton nachos are brilliant...and live up to their name. We saved room for dessert - and we're glad that we did! The "fries and ketchup" is a fun twist on dessert, and the cheesecake was creamy and perfect. We all commented on Maggie being just right - she was there when we needed her to be, she knew the menu well, and she left us to our conversation and meal when we were getting our grub on...she was a perfect compliment to the food and atmosphere. After another 20 minutes, we received our drinks and 10 minutes later our food. The server was somewhat "cold" and we were never asked for refills. We had to ask for our bills.
