I will never come back because of the way a staff member acted towards me and my autistic daughter. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome and like my daughter couldn't exist how she is which obviously is different than nuerotypical people. It's unfortunate because she was so excited and would love to come back. I won't go back because she made us feel so damn unwelcome. It's hard enough going out into the community when you're child is different. I don't want to pay money to be made to feel unwelcome when I can get it plenty for free. I enjoyed my visit to this cat café so much! Coffee and cats - or, cocktails and cats! Such a lovely place to spend some time. The café and barroom is big and spacious with plenty of places to sit; at the bar, at a table OR at a counter that runs all along the glass wall giving you an up close view of the cat interaction section. I would have loved to spend some time in there but my husband didn't want to pay the fee this time. It's okay as I know we'll be back one day. We snacked on a blueberry scone and a savory soft pretzel. My husband was happy to indulge in his favorite beer on tap (Truth) and I had a Smelly Cat Frappe. I'm an animal lover, but I absolutely adore cats. When my best friend mentioned that she thought there was a cat cafe near her, I wasted no time hopping on Google and immediately booked a visit. As someone who has visited quite a few cat cafes around the world, I feel absolutely confident in giving Purrfect Day 5 stars! The setup is perfect! There is a fantastic sized play room for you to visit and cuddle with kitties and the cafe side is adorable. I appreciate that there is plenty of room to spread out and hang with the cats, and they allow kids to spend time with the cats. We brought my godkids with us to visit the cafe and it was wonderful. I'm convinced that I have made cat-lovers of them. I love that all of the cats are available to adopt. For those of us who are from out of town, or maybe can't have a cat, I really appreciate that there is a place you can go and just spend some time with a few furry friends. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. I paid $30 to visit what was advertised as a cozy, welcoming cat café--what I actually walked into was a heartbreaking and infuriating situation. Several of the cats looked visibly ill. Some were so congested they were struggling to breathe. When I politely asked the staff if the cats were receiving any kind of veterinary care or medication before being adopted, I was met with hostility and denial. One staff member actually told me the cats "aren't sick" and that it would be the adopter's responsibility to medicate them. That's not only dishonest, it's cruel. On top of the poor animal welfare, the staff were unbelievably rude. Rather than showing care or compassion, they acted like my concerns were the problem--not the fact that cats in their care were suffering. This is not how rescue or adoption should ever work. It's unethical to charge people to sit in a room with visibly sick animals, misrepresent their health, and then push the responsibility onto adopters. If you care about cats, please do not support this place. There are countless legitimate rescues and shelters that actually care for the animals before sending them home. read more

This is a tough review because I really adore this place and the concept but there's certainly room for improvement. The environment for the kitties is nice with plenty of food, litter boxes and places to nap. While there are some signs posted with rules it was a bit surprising to see the lack of any kind of supervisor or associate enforcing the rules. Looking at the hours of operation it seems the kitties have zero down time during business hours which makes it hard for them to get the rest they need. This place has done a tremendous job in finding homes for kitties but this also means a lot of new cats coming in at an alarming rate. If one cat gets sick the risk of spreading to the rest of the cats is very high. My wife and I ended up adopting one of the cats during our visit and the adoption was a bit unusual. We asked some questions and got very vague answers. We were told to come back the following day to complete the adoption and pick up our new kitty. We ended up asking the same questions and getting different answers. We couldn't seem to get details on where the cat came from and when they were fixed. They had their age as 1 year and 6 months. We took him to our Vet a few days after adoption where they said he was maybe 8 months old, nowhere near a year and a half. The vet was astounded at the lack of details regarding the health history from the adoption papers.unfortunately we found out from our Vet that he had worms and fleas along with a bacterial infection. Makes you wonder how many of those other cats had the same thing. I'm hopeful that Purrfect Day can tweak a few things and make this a truly remarkable place to spend some time with cats which may lead to even more adoptions. A wonderful stop near Cincinnati! Purrfect for young and old cat lovers! They have a variety of hot and cold beverages and baked goods. You can take your beverage in with you see pet the cats. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the cat area and all of the cats looked very well cared for. All are adoptable (they partner with area rescue organizations). They had a staff member available to answer any questions about the cars and to keep everyone (cats and people) safe. My goodness I can't praise the place enough!!! It's extremely clean and fresh, absolutely no orders, plenty of lounging seats and just all together a peaceful and zen environment!!! I can't express the joy I had here, every single cat there (and there were different cats each time I'd go) had their little personality's, some where more shy and introverted, and some were friendly and would come and sleep in my lap! Though there were many cats I was never harmed by a cat nor did I see any unhappy kittens. If you are near here and even if you don't like cats I 110% recommended coming here! I was really excited to check out this cat cafe, but I was pretty disappointed:( only coffee they have is drip and the rest are super sugary non coffee drinks. I got matcha but they only have nondairy milks and cream so that was unfortunate, as well as the drink just tasting like syrup. On the bright side, the cat lounge seemed pretty well kept and there were a lot of cats. It's a 50 minute minimum for a visit though which is quite long in my opinion. Parking in the area was hard to find if the area is busy, but I'm glad I was able to get a spot--designated for the coffee shop only. The store itself was so cute and well thought out. A petting room at the front of the store lets you pet foster kittens (by appointment only). If you are unlike me, you would search this place ahead of time, make an appointment to play, and see all the kittens available for adoption! I missed out on this, but you don't have to. I absolutely love this place! I have been here on three separate occasions now. Each time has been an awesome experience. When we visited there were about 20-30 cats and kittens in the kitten lounge. There are tons of places for the kittens to curl up for a nap and plenty of toys to interact with them. Lots of kittens were napping when we visited, but they didn't mind being pet as they snoozed. As our time went on a lot of them were waking up and they were ready to play which was a lot of fun. The only negative is I wish you got a little bit more time with the kittens- 50 minutes goes too fast! After our most recent visit we stopped in the cafe after our kitten time. Once I booked the reservation online I couldn't wait until our visit. Speaking of reservations, they are STRONGLY recommended since each group is limited to X number of people (and this number has changed at least once due to Covid19 restrictions). Other advice: free parking across the street in Purrfect Day Cafe marked spaces. Otherwise you will need to find street parking which I believe is metered. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to grab some food or drinks from their cafe/bar. I had a great IPA and a delicious peanut butter and chocolate Tortie scone. Wear clothes that can get hairy, duh. If you are wanting to reserve the party room, call/fb message, etc and arrange it beforehand. When the room is ready (and the awesome staff cleans between groups) everyone is briefed on policies and best practices for handling the kitties and is also able to wash hands or use the sanitizer spray. Once inside, I recommend sitting on the floor if possible since you will be closer to the cats, but if mobility or other reasons prevent you, sitting on one of the benches or seats will be fine too. At first most of the cats were playing and hanging out with other people in the room but eventually some wandered over and we had three to five cats playing with us and just being silly kittens. It was wonderful. Eventually a staff member will come inside and mention the remaining time left (20 minutes, 10...). At some point we found our kitten and he rested on our lap probably letting us know he picked us ;) One is of course not required to adopt a kitten but you will certainly be tempted if you love little cats that are full of personality and need a home, so keep that in mind. Everyone eventually leaves the play area (and timing is just right at about 50 minutes) and if you want to adopt a kitten, you can notify staff and they will put a piece of tape around the kitten's name collar. The following process may change since we went the first weekend so always check their site or speak with staff. We came back the next day with a cat carrier (they can supply those at an additional cost too) and sat down with a worker from Kenton County Animal Shelter and another PDC staff member. We were told about our cat's vaccinations and provided the necessary paperwork. We were also given two doses of some kind of oral syringe for the cat. Some kind of antibiotic I believe. We paid about $130 and were out the door with our cat. Fast forward a couple days and the little guy is sick with GI issues. It was not pretty and smelled worse than an outdoor music festival porta potty. I have no idea why he was sick but he in turn made our two other cats sick so a visit to the vet was required which cost about the same price as what I paid for him. Moral of the story, be ready for additional expenses with your adopted cat and be ready to take care of any serious medical needs. We should have had him checked by our vet immediately after adoption but we felt the reassurances from the vet staff and the documentation were sufficient. I can't place blame in anyone especially PDC since all proper adoption procedures were followed. Sometimes life happens and thank God we have means and access to a great vet. I would 100% return again to play with the absolutely adorable kittens and look forward to having group events planned at this location. At the current rate of $15/hr, this is perhaps some of the least expensive therapy out there, ha ha. read more
