Communication was often unhelpful, and I felt like my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. Navigating financial aid is already stressful, and instead of receiving guidance and support, I was left feeling frustrated and unsupported. I enrolled expecting a school that would invest in student success both academically and financially, but my experience with the financial aid office fell far short of that expectation. If you are considering Arizona College of Nursing, make sure you fully understand the financial commitment and get everything in writing before making any decisions.

Had an exam and the material I learned during the session was not even on the exam. Also, you do not even get back your exams!!! If you fail or do bad, you won't even know why! You fail the class when you get below a 76%. That puts you back a semester (4mo). If instructions were properly given, with adequate detail, guidelines, examples, return of tests, then maybe this school would be great. But it's not and being self taught for nursing school which I'm paying for is not what I signed up for.

Now, my son is starting his adventure at CSN for his two year in Computer Science with a focus on cybersecurity network engineering, and then transferring over to UNLV. The Charleston Campus is our primary location that I used to go to, and now my son goes to. He recently had to take a multiple exams to get his Microsoft certification in Office applications. All exams were provided at the Charleston College of Southern Nevada. College of Southern Nevada operates multiple campuses including Charleston, Cheyenne, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. There are several learning centers as well. CSN offers a wide range of academics and career focused programs including associate degrees, certificates, and multi pathways for transfer to four year universities. Some of their studies include business, health sciences, information technology, engineering, education, and the arts. I really enjoyed my time at CSN! My son is as well. The teachers and the community are fantastic. There are flexible learning options including online and evening classes. If you're looking to start your educational journey, I'd highly recommend CSN as a place to go to if you're local in Las Vegas!

If I could start over, I would take more time researching the faculty, their qualifications, their teaching styles, and how grading is handled. This program is extremely rigid, and many of the professors seem unengaged and underqualified. You'll wait weeks for grades because professors aren't the ones actually grading the assignments; the "higher-ups" are. It makes the entire process feel disconnected and, honestly, a bit fake. There is little to no opportunity for improvement because you never get meaningful feedback. You don't see what you did wrong, and you can't grow from it. Some instructors feel like they're just playing a role, and it leaves me questioning whether they're even fully credentialed. If you do decide to attend Galen, take as many general education and prerequisite courses as you can elsewhere before enrolling. Especially now, with their accreditation currently under review, it's important to protect your time, money, and future licensure.

You either need to hire at least 1 more person to double your classes, or change your name to IDTVM ED (I don't teach very much) ED. If you don't provide the service you can't get the stars!

I always get a little nervous when having to take a class for one of my nursing certs @ a new place with instructors I've never had before. As you can see I'm giving Flex Ed 5 stars & highly recommend coming here for your educational needs. I registered to renew my TNCC cert. through work back in March for a one day class in Sept. I was hearing from co-workers that the one day renewal was hard & decided to switch to the 2 day certification class but I wasn't able to switch it because it said it was full through my work education app. I stopped by one morning on my way home from work to pick up my TNCC book because I wanted to get started in reviewing. The hours are posted outside the door saying its not opened until 9am but it was open you just have to ring a little buzzer. Someone let me inside & I went to the counter & told the lady I was there to pick up my TNCC book. She looked me up & couldn't' find me listed for the class. I was like "I signed up back in March" & showed her my copy of my registration & she told me she didn't know what she was looking at. She mentioned that Justin didn't usually release the participants of the class till about 30 days before it starts. I was there less then the 30 days. I was a little annoyed because I basically wasted a trip out there & I wasn't able to get my book to get studying. I asked the lady if there was any room in the 2 day class & she told me "yes." I asked her if she could switch me cause @ my job it says its full. Well guess they close the classes apx. 30 days before it starts so no one can sign up for it. She tried calling Justin (I believe he's the IT manager ??) to see if he could sign me up for the 2 day class & he didn't answer. He actually called me later. After jumping through a few hoops he was able to get me signed up for the 2 day class. I had a co-worker who let me borrow his TNCC book & when I brought it home & hunted for my TNCC book from 4 years ago I realized it was the same edition so I didn't need to run back to Flex Ed to get my book. I was dreading the 2 day class. Hours listed was Thursday & Friday 7:30am-6:30pm. Those are long days of sitting in a classroom & listening to lectures. Well it actually ended up not being bad @ all & the days went by fast. I never once fell asleep in class....lol We had more then one instructor & they were all great & knowledgeable. They even brought us bagels the first day, had snacks for us after lunch & pastries the next day for breakfast. Super sweet!! Thank you again!! I brought a cooler bag with some drinks & snacks for myself and I had planned on going out for lunch on the first day as there are many places close by to grab something to eat. Some are within walking distance such as McDonalds, Dell Taco, The Cracked Egg, Joe Philly's (Italian rest. which supposedly has a $5 pizza slice & drink special but they take a long time) & French Gourmet. We got an hour each day so plenty of time. They have vending machines too. They only take change/cash no credit cards. I believe the sodas were only $1.00...awesome sauce! Coke products. The only thing I was bummed about is that they don't have a refrigerator for us to use & store our lunch in for those who want to bring their own food/drinks. It was interesting to learn that a few of the nurses in the class were from Cali & one from Reno so not everyone is from Vegas. One of our instructors was also from Cali. They all had a pretty extensive nsg background with lots of diff. nsg specialities over their nsg career. They knew what they were talking about for sure! They were clear, spoke in a normal paced manner & used a Power Point slide presentation but it was made from TNCC & they mentioned they were not allowed to add their own slides. They did share some handouts with us. The first day of TNCC we had lecture for the beginning of the day & towards the end of the day we did some stations, hands-on in small groups. We learned/reviewed some stuff such as how to inject an IO, take off a helmet, take a child out of a car seat, inserting OPA's & NPA's. Then we went into a separate classroom in our group & did a hands on TNP. We each had to do one then we did them as a group taking turns on the process. This really helped for the day when we each had to do our own TNP part for the test. Our instructors were Pat H., Tina, Pat S., Carrie & Mitch. Mitch was new & was getting tested on his lecturing. You could tell he was very nervous when he was giving his lecture to us (which I would have been too!) but I didn't see any nervousness when he was helping with the hands on stations. It was a great 2 days & it went by fast. I highly recommend coming here for your educational needs, you won't regret it!!! Thanks again!! :-)

A lot of trade schools require you to pass either a wonderlic exam or some similar exam, and a math exam. with PIMA you are aloud four tried for the wonderlic , the points needed depends on the program. Sucks how they give you four tries, & they take an average, instead of just taking the highest score. I don't think that, that's okay. the application is free, so that's a plus. I believe they said you have to get accepted & then they can talk about fafsa. The process should be more lenient. the staff was pretty nice. I don't know what anyone here is talking about? Your not promised a job after graduation, but they do help you prepare for a interview. People forget that.

Like why make it your job to help people with admission if you're going to be rude! As an admission representative, It's your job to answer our questions and guide us with the admission process! Who wants a representative that makes you feel dumb for asking one simple question?
