They even pop into the grocery store next door to them frequently to buy fresh ingredients as they prepare food, nothing frozen or sub-quality. Almost unheard of in the dining experience today. The chef who prepares the food is always making the most mouth watering, addicting meals and appetizers. The food looks equally delicious. It smells amazing. All made to order and the portions are generous. They are so friendly. We have literally never had a bad experience with them in over 4 years. Even if a mistake was made on an order, they have always been courteous and apologetic, they immediately remedy the problem in which everyone is happy. I just love the owners...I think Brewster is very lucky to have them in their town. We have several favorites on their menu but honesty, we haven't found a dud yet. Their hollandaise sauce is scrumptious and addictive!! I could eat it on an apple. The salads are fresh and creative. The specials are always a treat. For the prices, which seem a little high....i don't think they are. They provide fresh food, prepared by a legit professional who has common sense and a great knowledge of flavors and flavor combos. They give generous potions and you never feel like you were ripped off when devouring their creations. I would eat here daily if we could. I love supporting small local business and I love supporting good people just as much. They are the best. I'm getting hungry thinking about the waffles, chili and hollandaise sauce.

Tip number 2) Water should be brought to the table as soon as possible, especially if a coughing customer requests it. Don't snap at the customer because she made a simple request. Prices have gone up and customer service has gone down, so we will like pass on this place from now on.

Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

There's plenty of parking, a separate bar room and a large dining room with views down to the lake. Unfortunately building codes don't permit outdoor patio seating but grab a window table if you can (reservation required with request). Service has always been friendly and efficient and the food is classy casual, with a nice selection of dishes for everyone.

Immediately I went on the Yelp app to see the reviews and mostly all of them were positive except quite a few people complained about how long they waited for their food. Well, they were legitimate complaints. Me and my wife waited roughly 45 - 50 minutes for 2 egg platters. The part that upset me was the people that walked in after us and sat at the counter were served before us. Basically the cook (owner) served his normal customers first. If it wasn't for the long wait time I would've easily scored Bob's 5 stars but 45 - 50 minutes for eggs will deter me from going back.

The view as you can see from the photo is lovely, and you can see the commuter rail when it occasionally comes through. There is also a police station next door so you get a Birds Eye view when officers are getting off shift. Pancakes here are so good. I'd say 98% of breakfast places have pancakes that disappoint but not these. Since I wasn't sure, I let the kids order them instead since they will eat anything as long as there is maple syrup on it. We ordered them a short stack of blueberry pancakes to share and added on real maple syrup. They were golden and not too thick or heavy. They had to pay the "mom tax" of sharing some with me. My husband ordered eggs, home fries and bacon and the bacon was also perfectly done- something else that we don't often find. This place is charming, there was what sounded like some 80s post-punk playing softly, our server was charming (French accented too perhaps?) and we hope to be back some day!

It was suppose to be a fun girls night and we all opted for pizzas, appetizers, bread knots, ect. 1. The wait was extended about 30 minutes longer than predicted. But that's ok, things happen and if they are making sure we get fresh good, hot foods...we will wait. But they weren't! 2. The order was wrong. We got over charged and wrong food was delivered or made. Both were not in our favor in the slightest. There was no sense in ruining more of our evening by sending the kid back with the messed items so, he got a big tip and we sent him in his way. 3. This one is major and the reason we won't eat there again...all 3 pizza were raw dough, soggy crust that was undercooked and a pale whiteish tan color on the crust. It was flavorless, badly made, just ugly. That's petty sounding but pizza generally looks delicious but this looked like it had been dropped. Not to mention all 3 boxes were stacked on each other in the delivery drivers car and the stream of pizzas softened the cardboard boxes so they collapsed in on each other. How this kid couldn't see or resolve the issue before he brought us squished pizzas is beyond me. 4. But the taste, right? That's what makes or breaks a place. Broken, it's just broken. The dough, which is specifically the pizza and the garlic knots, was not even good enough to be used in the marinara sauce. The pizzas were doughy, gooey, flavorless, unsalted, not yeasty, no chew to the dough and it was not a good vessel to carry toppings. The cheeses were greasy, rubbery and waxy. That fake cheap bulk bought cheese that only the cheapest places buy...the cheap restaurants really seem to like buying a using cheap cheeses that the customers don't enjoy and that make any effort to prepare good food automatically hit below the mark consistently. It isn't that difficult to make fresh mozzarella cheese to use on your dishes. It's lazy. How lazy is it to be a real Italian pizza joint and everything tastes bland and like the place is doomed. The cook would seem soulless and depressed by what he or she is putting out for public consumption. So they got a ton of money for a bunch of garbage that was delivered in squashed boxes and we were overcharged for food we ended by throwing away. Everyone tried everything and no one enjoyed any of it. I don't recommend wasting money here unless you looking for expensive badly made garbage. We are all getting squeezed to death financially but I refuse to support a local small business that doesn't care about it customers anymore.
