    BBQ chicken flatbread

Putt Putt's is a west side staple dive bar. I noticed their outdoor patio when driving by one day, so Nate and I stopped by for a bite to eat and a drink recently after visiting the zoo which is down the street. He used to live in this neighborhood so he was familiar with the menu and mentioned the inside has changed quite a bit since he frequented this spot. We ordered a burger on sourdough with tots and the BBQ chicken flatbread. This was great bar food! I loved the burger - it was juicy and the tots were fried and seasoned to perfection. It was a great portion too, so we were able to share (makes me think of Napoleon Dynamite - no stealing tots necessary). I love that you can order your burger on sourdough instead of a bun - it was perfectly toasted. It did get a bit messy and fell apart a little towards the end, but we had plenty of napkins. The flatbread was super tasty. I don't usually go for a BBQ chicken pizza but I saw someone else ordered it and it looked delicious. I'm so glad I copied them, because it was sweet, savory, and covered in chicken and cheese. The included side of ranch just rounded it out. Yum! Our server was quick with refills and around for us to order more drinks when needed. The outdoor space is pretty spacious and covered. Definitely will stop by again soon!

"Where you're only a stranger once." I love coming here. I don't care if I'm in a cocktail dress or sweatpants and a hoodie, I always feel comfortable and welcome. They pour strong drinks and serve up great bar food. Sandwiches, burgers, and lots of fried delights. Let's be honest, you didn't come to the bar to eat a salad did you? It's a great place to hang out, watch the game with your friends, or make your own fun with their pool tables. They recently renovated and now have a great outdoor patio too. Aaaaand free Wi-Fi! If you're looking to get away from the stereotypical bar/club scene, try Putts. Everyone is welcome!

We were seated right away and our server was super helpful and had great recommendations. The menu is huge and everything sounded really good. They feature some things that you don't see elsewhere in town, like the Cudighi, which is a Yooper classic! Nate ordered that and I got the firecracker salmon bowl. I really enjoyed the food - the salmon bowl was a good portion and very fresh. I liked the veggies and the flavor was Asian-inspired. The Cudighi sandwich is basically a pizza sub with a spicy sausage patty that's been baked in mustard. It's unique and interesting, and Nate enjoyed it. We don't get to the NW side of town that often, but I would make a special trip to visit Roasted again. They have weekly specials and features, and a Saturday prime rib dinner!

The patio area is so cute also even though we didn't get to experience it!

You can eat, drink, and play golf - you can do it all or you can do just one. However, if you plan on playing golf / using a simulator bay, you should call or go online and make a reservation. It gets busy there. I love that they have seasonal cocktails. They had some special ones for st Patrick's day. They also have happy hour M-F from 2-6pm. I booked a bay, it charges per 30 min. The hour was $65. I had one cocktail. I got a briefing on the system and I was on my way to playing a very difficult golf course in South Korea. They have club upgrades but I stuck with the standard bag. I had a great time. Next time I will choose an easier golf course! Also, I believe the server calculates their tip not only on what you buy but also your bay time. So I'll review my check a little closer next time. The sell golf gloves if you need one/forgot yours. There is a small parking lot next to the building or you can park on the street or garage nearby. Bathrooms are on all levels. Fun place. I'll be back.

I was surprised at how long it took for the 2 hosts to greet us - as we were standing directly in front of them. They were talking to one another, and it was probably work related, but to just stand there staring at them for a couple minutes while they ignored us was awkward. When they finally talked to us they weren't very friendly. Anyway, we made our way to the bar and it was full except for 3 seats. I think the bartender waiting on us was new. He seemed like he was pretty overwhelmed/in the weeds. He greeted us quickly and brought us waters when he did, which I appreciated. I ordered a Blackeberry Bourbon Sour and my Mr had Paloma Nuestra. We both enjoyed our drinks they were refreshing and well crafted. For dinner I had a really hard time deciding! I wanted to try so many things! Our bartender said his favorite thing in the menu is the chicken and rice bowl. That was something I was considering and decided to go with that. Excellent recommendation! The chicken was flavorful and so tender. The hot peppers were a nice touch. There was a lot of food too! I couldn't finish it all. Mr had the hanger steak that was served with mushroom and asparagus risotto. He said the risotto was the best he's ever had, and I agree. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and so was the steak. The space is really nice, felt intimate without being overcrowded. We are looking forward to coming back!

What a disappointment, but not nearly as much as our experience at 123 Tavern. We came in at 4:15PM before the Brandi Carlile show needing a table for a party of 8-10. The place was fully booked (but only half full at that time) except the bar (first-come, first-served). Fair enough -- but from the moment we walked up, the manager at the host stand couldn't have cared less. She quoted a two-hour wait, shut down my question about sitting outside with a flat no, and pointed us toward the bar. No sense of customer service at all. Like zero. The three of us who were there took the last open seats at the bar. Then came the real show: one bartender for the entire restaurant AND bar. He ignored us for ten minutes. My wife and friend got their beers quickly -- but my bourbon sat finished at the service station for another seven minutes while I watched the large ice cube melting as it marinated there. When I finally asked where my drink was, I got "I'm working on it." When he did finally bring it, he pushed it across the bar at me -- no apology, no eye contact, his attention on anything but me. I'll be honest about what I can't prove: I've worked in this industry a long time, and the whole thing read like my service got intentionally slow-walked. My drink held back while everyone around me was taken care of. Maybe the front manager said something after our rocky start at the host stand. Maybe they're just all bad at their jobs. I can't tell you which. I can only tell you how obvious it felt from the barstool. Everything after was the same; menus, ordering, closing out, all a slog. I had to hunt down that same manager for our check so we could get to the show, and she was all attitude, zero help. We only escaped because my wife flagged a server who found a another manager. His response to hearing all this? "I'm sorry." Nothing else. No attempt to make it right. For the first time in my life, I left $0 on a $100 tab. I'm a 25%+ tipper. That's how badly this went. Here's the thing, 123 Tavern: if you're going to bill yourself as a place to gather before events, staff the place and train your managers to act like they want customers there. Until then, I'll spend my money somewhere that values it.

Handhelds and burgers come with chips but you can upgrade to fries, tots, or onion rings for an additional charge. Our food came out pretty quickly and looked really good! My burger was huge and juicy and nicely cooked. The tots were interesting - they are housemade and reminded me of arancini. Very good, but not what I was expecting.
