I want to start off by saying that we did not use this restaurant's services; however, the gentleman who was either managing or working this past Saturday was absolutely rude and repulsive. A few of our friends gathered at this location as a meeting spot to fill up on gas and grab a few snacks. A few of us were standing near the bar because it was extremely hot that day, and we wanted some shade. We were there for no more than 20 minutes while we waited for another member of our group to join us. This atrocious man came out twice demanding to know if we were coming into the bar. We kindly advised him that we weren't and that we were planning to leave in a few minutes. Not one person entered his place of business while we were waiting, but something must have crawled up this man's rear for him to rudely approach one of our friends and demand that we move. He scolded her like she was a child and threatened to have our vehicles towed. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I find this to be absolutely unacceptable behavior. There is a right way and a wrong way to approach a situation, and this man surely chose the wrong one. the owner was extremely rude when i came in early morning for a drink. wished him a good morning and he didn't say anything back, but that's not even the start. i ordered a drink and went to the bathroom for a very average amount of time and he busted in while i was doing business to "check on me" but he was weird. wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a welcoming place to grab a drink. read more

What a great little spot! Walking in you'll soon learn that while it is not "divey" it isn't exactly upscale either. It's that happy medium where you feel comfortable being an average person spending a little bit more of a reasonable amount. The bartender was upbeat friendly and had a sense of humor- all pluses! The food here was actually flavorsome and reasonably priced. I had a Durango burger.....cream cheese, jalapenos, bacon and all you desire under 1 bun. Drinks were cheaper than most places for sure. I spent today driving out to, and hiking within, Death Valley National Park. I came back to my hotel, showered, and promptly passed out. I woke up around nine and I was starving. I went through the usual delivery choices, and nothing was quite hitting my 'spot'. And then I found Putter's on Google maps, less than a mile from where I was staying. Evidently they have two happy hours: one in the afternoon, and one that starts at 10 PM. I had a delicious IPA and ordered their Putter's hot dog (relish, sauerkraut, chopped onions, all on the side) along with a trio of their bacon and blue cheese sliders, with homemade potato chips. All food during Happy Hour is 25% off. It was all delicious . And my bartender, Amber, was personable, smiling, open, chatted with me about hiking in Montana and Las Vegas, and was just an enjoyable conversationalist. I arrived near the end of her shift and after she cashed out, she came around the bar to shake my hand and wish me a good night. There are not many places (anywhere) that have a server with so much personality. Harley's of all sorts are always parked in the front of Putter's. This is a wonderful way to know you can go in! Shall we, yes! The Harley will sit outside and make the parking lot look good. Opening the door to Putter's is like experiencing night and day. Wow the outside does not do justice for this little dive. I use dive in a positive way as well. It is loud but the Bears and Eagles game is on. If it was not loud I would worry about the football fans and their support of their team. Wow, it must be the way the meat is cured and the combination of the egg and butter from those sweet brioche buns. It makes them a magical masterpiece that I intend on eating, someone has too. Come and try these sliders for yourself. Who does not love a good happy hour menu? When a business offers happy hour twice a day, we'll all righty then. It gets better to. We have not discussed the alcohol happy hour yet. Let's explore some more. They offer domestic beer for $3.75! Well drinks with either Vodka, Bourbon, Tequila, or Gin are $4.00. The bacon sprinkles are real pieces of bacon, but one could always do better with more bacon anytime. Right! Overall, no complaints on the buffalo chicken fries. The appearance of the dish was fantastic. Buffalo Chicken needs ranch to achieve perfection. The ranch here is extremely tasty. Having a marvelous ranch is a great judgement of an establishment. The ranch here is way above the standard. They pass the ranch test. Now with seconds left all the Bears have to do is kick the ball for a field goal. Munching on my Cuban sliders and delicious cheese fries with ranch I'm on the edge of my seat. Then they go to a commercial, typical. Now as we all sit here Shawn keeps my water glass full and round whatever of vodka and Bourbon on the rocks. Let's go Bears. He makes the kick and it's safe; no no no. It bounces off the goal post and it's the Eagles that advance. What a phenomenal game between these two power houses? The fans here are amazing and regulars. The bartender, Shawn already know what most of the customers want and he has it ready for them as they pull up a stool. By the way, the bar stools are so comfortable and they have a back to them that allows you to sit up. Your next sports event should be celebrated here. The bartender seemed busy and not giving much of a shit about anyone. We decided to order some food cuz we were starving. Food was surprisingly decent. On a scale 0-10 food was a 6.5 not bad. Service was not good however the bartender was friendly. Maybe he was tired or exhausted or just didn't wanna be there? Who knows. He was friendly tho and it was just him for a bunch of people. Used to be a cool place when James was the manager. Went in there recently and played 50 bucks and the manager charged us full price and said he gave us 1 drink off. Their drinks are overpriced and not worth going unless you're gambling. Well forget that, they are like pts where they look at your machine and try to calculate your gambling habits before they discount your drink. If they walk around and see that you're playing 1 quarter a bet - like the manager does- then you've got a full priced bill. Even when you're betting a dollar plus a hand in-between bets. If you're interested in gambling on super tight machines and being charged full price than go see putter's. If you want to gamble and get a your drinks balanced out, then go to South Point casino. This particular Putters reminds me of your old neighborhood dive bar. Pool tables, juke box, gaming machines, drinks and a limited menu. The food here is very average. Nothing I have eaten really jumps off the menu at you. Their chicken quesadilla was pretty tasty. The location of this Putter's is in a good area on South Las Vegas Blvd, but the problem is, their is some low income apartment complexes in vicinity. So you get quite a few undesirables hanging out here especially at night. And because there is a 7/11 next door. Lots of panhandlers. The service here is actually very good. Ray on graveyard is an excellent bartender and Stacy during the day are both always on point. So I come to see them. Machines play kind of tight but I have seen people win. read more

A solid local bar that is reliably good they pour heavy and bar food is decent certainly passable. As other reviewers have mentioned it is a complete dive bar and walking from the parking lot to the inside can feel like Out of Body Experience. All the bartenders that I've ran into are kind and easy going like I said before they pour heavy which is a bonus that's why I'm going to a local bar to get a nice little buzz going. I should know better by now than to assume that a video poker bar will have decent food, I've come to learn that just is not the norm here. However since this place had 4 out of 5 stars I asked myself, "how can they possibly mess up a turkey sandwich?" Well, I found out. I placed a to go order and brought home the food, they didn't have ventilated to go boxes and didn't poke holes in the styrofoam so by the time I got home the french fries were a soggy mess as was the sandwich. The sandwich was a turkey, avocado, and mozz on sourdough. The sandwich was literally dripping when I picked it up. I opened the sandwich to see if the inside was salvageable, the turkey was extremely dry and flavorless when I took a bite. I also ordered a queso blanco appetizer which was bland, watery, and had a chalky consistency. It was by far the worst queso I've ever had in my life, completely inedible. I ended up throwing everything in the trash. Maybe they were just having a bad night but I will never be giving this establishment a second chance to find out. read more

Love this local little bar. The bartenders are so friendly and attentive that it's rare to be sitting with an empty glass in front of you. Ashley, one of the servers is usually working and she is a complete sweetheart! She's familiar with a lot of the regulars but she's very welcoming to all. The food is surprisingly good and always comes out fresh! My favorite is their buffalo chicken wrap, it's bomb and comes with the crispest fries. They even add avocado and bacon in the wrap which makes it that much better. There's pool, video poker, and plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game. Not a bad local spot at all. read more

Seeing as how it's mostly a bar, the smell of smoke was overwhelmingly strong. For an appetizer we had the spinach dip. It was a bit too creamy and could use more spinach. It wasn't very warm when it came out either (not that big of a deal as the dip usually cools off before it's finished anyways, but I wish it would have started out hotter). I had the reuben sandwich. It was alright. The dressing and sauerkraut were good. The meat (I believe pastrami, but it may have been corned beef, I can't remember) was a little dried out. The bread was a little over toasted. This place is a small, smoky bar complete with TVs, 2 pool tables and 2 dart boards. Service is ok and if you're sitting at the tables like we were you might not get any service if you come too early in the day. The beer was cold but the food was mediocre at best...They have happy hour daily from 3 to 6 pm, as well as a daily food special which is all dirt cheap...like 5 or 6 bucks for most entrees. Great food! We went in about midnight. Not real busy. The bartender waited on us and gave us great service though we didn't get alcoholic drinks. The tea was horrid, but we are Southerners and very picky on our tea. My mom asked for a root beer, and was accidentally given a Dr. Pepper.
