We reserved dinner and golf. The vegan menu was so good! The service was great. It's loud in the dining area so be aware of that. Golf was really fun. Some of the courses get busy so even if you have a reservation you'll most likely end up waiting especially if you're only a group of two and you're behind a group of 5 or 6. Still lots of fun! My original review is below from Summer 2023, but here is my updated review with some details to add. I still feel the same for the most part. I will add that parking around the premises is nearly impossible. There are paid garages that easily charge you $20+ to park. The atmosphere of the establishment is definitely a vibe and as far as food, this is somewhere you'd want to eat light and not heavy. It's a fun place to at least visit once, and on my second time back, I can share that it's not worth another visit. --------------------- I love the concept of the courses while golfing, they had cute themes and a nice variety, but the courses a really short. Your ball is tracked digitally so you don't have to keep track on your own score which is such a cool concept! I hope they invest more into extended these courses, but in my opinion it is not worth the value of playing. I don't see myself returning to play again, but I will check to see if there are any changes periodically that might bring me back. As far as the food & service. The customer service is nice! Everyone is friendly and will help if you have questions. The food is expensive. Personally when the starters/ appetizers are just as expensive as the actual entree, you might as well make them entrees. Much cooler than expected! My husband and I came here on a Sunday afternoon with some friends. We made reservations online in advance, and it's a good thing we did as the place was packed! Everyone gets a ball that has their name electronically attached to it, so when you put your ball down to play, your name pops up on the screen. The ball also keeps your score electronically. Each station has a little table next to it so you can put down your drink, phone, etc. while you play. We didn't eat here, but there was plenty of open space with tables and a big bar next to the golfing area. I think there needs to be better spacing between groups so you're not just backed up on one another. Lots of space to put your drinks so that's nice. I've been here several times with my husband and it is so much fun every time! We've done each course at least once and the holes are always so bright and interesting that we never get bored. They have a huge bar too and you can grab a drink to bring with you around the courses. This trip, we stayed for dinner after going through the courses and the food too is excellent! We got the gyro sliders to start and O.G. Burgers next and both had very tender meat and great flavors from the ingredients and sauces. I got the Cali Garlic fries with my burger and they were soooo good. We got the beignets to end and my only complaint is when you opened it, it was only crust and all the dough disappeared on the inside after it fried. It goes by so fast, that I would only want to do it again if I could do all the courses for the price I paid for one. This was great to do in off hours! I've been here twice..a Saturday and a Wednesday and by far the Wednesday experience was 10x better! Good to show up for your appointment and start playing vs being in an extremely long queue even with an appointment on Saturdays. Good vibe and music. Puttshack is an entertaining place for everyone and located in a very popular area in Boston. The food is decent. Good, but nothing WOW or great. Last Thursday June 26, 2025, we took our employees for lunch and play time there. Our great VP of Operations made the arrangements to have the event for two hours (2 pm until 4 pm). Now, when I got there and asked for a Tequila tonic, Puttshack said that they did NOT have tonic. WHAT?!!! It's 2:15 pm and you don't have tonic? In the entire location, no tonic? Bad way to start. Then, when it comes to the food, as I said, decent miniburgers, pizza, Caesar salad and more for originally 13 people that ended up being only 7 of us, and while everyone was hungry, I noticed that we're going to have plenty of food to take home. Well, not really, because Puttshack does NOT allow you to take any leftovers from a party you host there. That simple. I was not happy at all, and while my VP of Operations said to me he was going to try to talk to the manager, which he did, the manager came and said that it is the policy of the restaurant, "liability" issues, or things like "I don't make the rules", and when I mentioned about not having tonic, he simply, "well, restaurants run out of tonic"...and I replied, well go to CVS and get tonic from there. Period. His entire explanation about the food was inexcusable, wrong and showing poor management from him and the entire restaurant (whoever owns it), because not only did I pay for the food, and therefore, I have the right to take home, or let say, feed a homeless person on the street. This is simply wrong, Very wrong. What is Puttshack going to do with that food? Maybe simply toss it and deny the possibility of feeding other human beings. So again, that is wrong. Peter Drucker once said, "Managers do things rights. Leaders do the right things" and I will add the greatest leaders do the right things, and they do it right. Not sure why the reviews are so low. I went for the first time this past weekend and thought it was fun! There are 4 courses named after gemstones. It looks like Amber and Ruby are very similar, and Emerald and Sapphire are very similar. So two copies of two courses. Each course is 9 holes and $18 per person. My friends and I played Amber, the only one on the first floor. We were a group of 6 and it took us about an hour to complete. I do wish there were a few more holes, but oh well. And like others have noted, you definitely cannot just walk in. We made our reservations over a week ago. Even though the place was pretty packed, we were able to grab a booth after our game and tried some food and drinks. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was tasty. I didn't get a drink but the cocktails sounded good. Overall, I'd say both the food and games are slightly over priced, but what isn't nowadays? Puttshack is relatively new to Boston located in the Seaport area. There is a parking lot right next to the Puttshack. Puttshack is not really for kids. If you are looking for family fun I wouldn't go to Puttshack. There's a long wait to golf and the place was very crowded. Food was surprisingly really really good. I ordered empanadas, burger and fries. The garlic fries are addictive. Everything was really good. Mini golf was cool. There are tables at every hole so you can put your drink on the table, play the hole and then grab your drink. Waitress was great and always around and very quick with the drinks. Came here for a corporate outing with my team and we had a great time! The food was delicious and plentiful while the drink service was super smooth with a good amount of variety. I couldn't recommend the experience more! We came on a Tuesday afternoon and were one of maybe three other parties, making the experience pretty pleasant as the space wasn't too loud and we weren't rushed on the golf course. The package we got had unlimited food as well as beer and wine, leaving us plenty full and satisfied. The food was very delicious! There was a good variety and it was replenished as much as we wanted. I loved the salad personally as well as the tots, although I do wish the salad was presented differently as it felt super wasteful to have these disposable containers - that's the only con I saw with the whole experience. The mini golf experience was so much fun! The holes are each super unique and interesting plus the software they use is sleek and makes the entire game a lot more fun. The staff was super patient with explaining how each hole worked and answering questions, plus they were serving drinks the entire time as well - really great service! The games themselves are fun but the employees don't seem to care that their games are not working to good. We played 2 rounds 1st round 4 of us get the hole in one but the ball sticks in a hole and you tap it to get it moving again and you get 2 shot. Though we had a reservation, upon checking in, we were assigned the "emerald" course and had to wait about 10-15 minutes. There were 4 people in our group, which was a good number. I would recommend groups no larger than 6 due to how short/small the "course" is. Course is 9 holes. Each very hole is unique and original. Drinks were good. We had beers, high noons and truly's - so hard to mess those up! One person ordered an aperol spritz which was on the stronger side. We did not order any food. This was very cool! Went here for a work event. Great view from the second floor and food was good. The putt putt experience is next level. You don't have to keep score as the balls are registered to you. There are spots on the course for bonus points and negative points. Servers will also bring your drinks to you while you are playing. We were running about 10 minutes late due to traffic but were still able to play. Whew!!! Love the concept of this place. Vibe is cool. It is kind of pricey and gimmicky, but we had a blast!!! We had drinks and food. Drinks were great. Food not so much. What really made this place was the service. The person explaining the putt-putt instructions was so great. So fun and friendly. Absolutely love Puttshack! It's a great addition to Boston nightlife. It's a large venue that's open late with great food. The music selection was perfect, something for everyone. There was a long line to play mini golf on a Friday night. Most people didn't seem to mind. There's a bunch of different seating areas to choose from.
