Came early on a Friday night with my 2 kids after researching family friendly restaurants near my hotel, wanted to try someplace I hadn't been before. Their menu online looked great and we were able to walk in with no reservations early on a Friday night, although they were starting to fill up more as we left. The crab cake was delish & my baby devoured most of it. The salmon salad was tasty but the salmon itself was very salty, salt was literally all I could taste. The lettuce was very crisp and fresh and everything else was good so I didn't feel the need to complain also with the consideration that the chef intended to make the salmon salty to pair with the rest of the dish. This review is a tough one for me because I loved Moxies so much after our first visit that we had to go back a second time. Dinner was truly unbelievable. We were seated immediately, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and Sarah, our waitress, was top-notch--friendly, helpful, and genuinely delightful. We started with the Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts, which were so yummy. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Spicy Tuna Dynamite Roll and absolutely loved the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. I had the Vegetarian Power Bowl, and it was one of those meals you remember long after the trip is over. Since Moxies was just a few steps from our hotel, we thought it would be the perfect place for lunch before heading back to Arizona. We were offered a table inside or on the second-floor patio, and we chose the patio. Maybe that was our mistake. From the moment we sat down, it felt like a completely different restaurant. The atmosphere was very casual, but unfortunately so was the service. Our waitress was forgetful, clueless, and at times borderline disrespectful. Our food arrived completely cold after apparently sitting for over 30 minutes, yet there was no acknowledgment of the delay--not even a simple apology. I honestly couldn't believe this was the same place we had raved about the night before. If I were reviewing only our dinner, this would be an easy 5 stars. But I can't ignore what happened the next day. Maybe we were just unlucky. Maybe the patio has a different rhythm than the dining room. I really don't know. Happy hour crowd came in and surrounded us; it got pretty loud. Parking is still a %!+€#. They validate parking at the hotel next door but it's still $26. We were seated almost two hours before our appetizers arrived, meals arrived 3 minutes after the appetizers. 2 of the 4 of us had no silverware, had to wait 5 minutes for it to be delivered. Had to go to the bar myself to refill the water bottle, I had brought our used one with me and the waitress handed me a full one, took our used empty one, and started filling it for another table without sanitation. Then there was no one for another 10+ minutes so I had to go to the front desk to ask to have our card processed. We spent more time trying to pay to leave than we did eating. The only issue we felt was we were a group of 2 and were seated in a tight space. I always go to Moxies when I can when I'm in the area for work! The food is delicious and the staff is great. I tell all my colleagues about it! That said, Moxies Boston Seaport missed the mark for me when it came to the apps and entrée. I ordered the calamari, which I'm pretty particular about, but I spent most of the time trying to figure out if it was real or imitation. As a pescatarian, that's something you really want to be sure about when ordering. I also got the Beyond Burger with truffle fries the fries were excellent, but the burger was just okay. Our server was kind and professional. We ordered still water, chocolate martini on the rocks, rose sangria and a Shirley Temple. The crostini bread with garlic butter was crunchy and hot. Mango Cajun chicken with rice, carrots, and string beans was perfectly seasoned with a great kick. The calamari (ordered with the spicy peppers on the side) was fried to a golden crisp along with a side of exquisitely salted hand-cut fries. So I came all the way to Boston from San Diego to find out that great breakfast food does exist. I ordered the Pancetta Bacon and Aged White Cheddar Cheese with poached eggs plus coffee. My first surprise was that the home fries that came with my breakfast were not only perfectly seasoned, they were actually piping hot! That was a wonderful surprise. As I dug into my breakfast my taste buds experienced nirvana as the pancetta bacon and age white cheddar cheese with the perfectly poached eggs were dwelling harmoniously with a lovely hollandaise sauce. YUMMY! There was fresh slices of watermelon, pineapple and an orange topped with a strawberry. The saddest part of my meal was the strawberry, but I ate it anyway. Event was on the second floor, which had huge window walls that I imagine allow for a great view of the water (event was at night, so unfortunately not able to see outside very well, but during the day must be amazing). Came here just before New Years Eve on a quiet Tuesday night. The kitchen was open late and we were able to get two seats at the bar. Our waitress was super friendly and the service was fast, which made the whole experience really easy and enjoyable. We shared a few dishes. The tacos were definitely my favorite. They were fresh, flavorful, and came with delicious toppings and sauces. The fries were also really good: crispy, cheesy, and came in a big portion. Both of those dishes were satisfying and felt like a good value for the price. I didn't love the calamari. It kind of looked like tater tots and didn't have the crispy texture I was expecting. On a recent work trip, I had to arrange a dinner for 8 people, and I also needed to be sure there were vegan options (for myself.) I searched for hours and finally settled on Moxies. It turned out to be a great choice. Moxie's has a separate section of their menu that pulls out all of their vegetarian and vegan options. There are both start and main's available. I was very happy with what I chose: vegan gyoza, lettuce wraps, and a mushroom zen bowl. I'm not always a huge fan of mushrooms, but the sauce in the bowl was great. Beyond the food, the space is quite large and the service was great. The server was attentive, friendly, and knew when to give us space to chat with ourselves. Food is delicious here and staff is very attentive and accommodating. I am gluten free celiac and the menu has clearly marked gluten free options. I started with the tuna ceviche stack and got it gluten free, it was very flavorful and a great starter. My sister got the steak bites, she's absolutely obsessed with them and this was the main reason she wanted to come back to this restaurant. I couldn't try them as they're not gluten free but they do seem worth an order if you're able to have them. I got a full rack of baby back ribs that were prepared gluten free as well. The manager brings out an allergy orders so I always knew my food was safe. The full rack of ribs is really delicious and I would absolutely get it again. For dessert I had the Mile high mocha pie, this literally is gigantic so it's absolutely something to share with a table. It's ice cream so you can't take it home. It's absolutely amazing and I'm so glad I can have a gluten free dessert like that. Cocktails were tasty, we liked the rosé sangria the best! There are multiple levels to the restaurant and we were seated on the upper level and had a beautiful view of the Seaport area. This place is more a discotheque with a food equation and I know loud as I work as a DJ for several years. The music was so loud than you can barely hold a conversation, which is not cool. The restaurant is divided into a bar with large TV screens and a sit down zone. But clearly the music carries to the sitting area. Now the food was really good. Their clam shower is delicious and their steak bites are also great. Their Mango chicken is an original recipe that is well executed!
