My sister and brother were in town visiting and we went to Savr for his birthday dinner. we had the beet salad, lobster scallop potstickers, and shrimp as apps and every bite was amazing. Our meals were the cider branded Berkshire black pork chop and skirt steaks which were equally outstanding. And for desert orange cream pie and chocolate pit de Crème which blew us away. Siobhán was our waitress and was attentive, helpful and really fun. The flavor, seasoning and cook on everything was perfection. This may have been the best the best meal I've ever had. We got the Thai chicken meatballs which were seasoned well and had the perfect amount of spice for the coconut green curry sauce. Their beet salad was also good, the shaved fennel and avocado really helped. For our mains, we got the cider brined Berkshire pork chop and the organic chicken. During my visit to Boston, my best friend and I dined at this restaurant on two separate occasions. The food was outstanding. We basically recreated our first-night dinner to celebrate my birthday on her last night in town. The cod was delicious and perfectly cooked, but our favorite dish was the lobster dumpling, which was generously filled with lobster and accompanied by what I assume is a lobster bisque sauce. On our first night, we enjoyed cod, lobster, dumplings, and oysters, paired with some wine. I savored the oysters on my own, and they were absolutely divine. On our last night, she ordered the cod, while I opted for the lobster spaghetti. We shared an order of the lobster dumplings and both nights indulged in the Nutella cheesecake. The lobster ravioli was another hit -- tender, perfectly seasoned (truly by the gods), and a generous portion. 4.5 stars SAVR's location within The St. Regis Residences at the edge of the Seaport waterfront hinted at the level of class the restaurant would possess. However, I was still impressed upon my arrival. The place's corner location in the building allowed it to have a lovely wrap-around balcony, but even if you were dining indoors as we did, you still had amazing views of the water from their floor-to-ceiling windows. The decor was stunning and offered upscale steakhouse vibes. The crowd was similarly flashy, attractive, and dressed to the nines. Overall, it really just felt like we were at some hotspot on the Mediterranean or somewhere glamourous like South Beach. The bar was right next to the host stand, so we instantly were greeted by the buzzing crowd. We saw that there were tables just beyond the bar and looking out into the marina, as well as another upstairs dining area. We were lucky to be quickly taken to a nice table just on the edge of the deck and were greeted by our server, Jessica P., who was upbeat and pleasant throughout the entire experience. We decided to start with a beverage, and I was proud of myself for recognizing a good chunk of the wine brands on the list, many of which had been favorites in the past. In particular, I asked if I could sample the 2023 Honig Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley and the 2023 King Estate Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley, both of which I had adored on other occasions. After trying a few sips of each, I settled on the Pinot Gris, which I found to be the more complex of the two. It offered low acidity, a slight sweetness, and notes of ripe pear, peach, and white flowers. I also had a taste of the Whiskey Priest Old Fashioned, which was one of the best old fashioneds I had ever had. It was composed of Uncle Nearest 1856 Premium Whiskey, Demerara syrup, and Angostura bitters, and it happened to be very balanced and not too sweet. It was sheer perfection! We were enjoying our drinks when the one strange part of the experience occurred. A food runner came by with a large cutting board of bread and butter. However, there were only three slices of bread available, one for each of us. It was a ridiculously small presentation of carbs for the size of the platter. Also, the second we finished the bread, the same man came over and took away our small plates, not even checking if we wanted any additional slices. That whole scene was annoying enough, but then we noticed another table of three nearby that received two rounds of bread - one with six slices and one with five slices. Plus, there was another table of two that received four pieces to share. It was a minor hiccup during an otherwise great meal, but it was still irritating. Regardless, the bread that we did try was soft, fluffy, and very good. There was also a side cup of an oil dip that had chunks of green olives in it and that was interesting. Thankfully, we did not need to wait too long before our entrees appeared. I had ordered the Bay of Fundy Salmon, which was served over a corn purée, baby vegetables, and an heirloom tomato salad. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. However, the vegetables (carrots, peas, zucchini, and squash), while fresh, were a bit too crispy and could have been cooked longer. I would have loved more corn puree as well. The other two diners in my group had great feedback on their 16-ounce, slow-roasted prime ribs. The portions were generous ones, but we still found room for dessert. The most original treat on the list, the Orange Cream Pie, called out to us immediately, and Jessica P. noted that it was her favorite dessert on the menu. She did not steer us wrong, because it was unreal! The slice had a thick, graham-pecan crust, which was then layered with the ideal amount of orange cream filling, and then topped with a whipped Chantilly cream. There was also a orange crème anglaise on the plate that made each forkful even more decadent. Came here with my girlfriends for dinner. Being that the restaurant is at seaport it is pretty pricey. The service was good and the restaurant was nice and clean. The food was just okay. We never say no to free bread but it was quite possible the worse bread i have ever had. The server asked if we wanted to avoid anything so i said cilantro so they removed the cilantro from the pork belly appetizer. The problem was both pastas had cilantro in it which is odd because usually pastas dont have cilantro. The pork belly and mushrooms were good. We were disappointed in the pastas. I love nothing better than sitting at the bar with a glass of champagne and the crabmeat cocktail (pro tip, skip the mustard and cocktail sauce and get the lemon aioli usually served with the calamari). I just took my mom today and couldn't have had a better experience. She's an espresso martini fan so I wanted her to try the espresso martini flight. We got the crabmeat cocktail (with lemon aioli) of course, and then double-downed with the crab ravioli. I love how you can order the pasta in appetizer or entree size! Crab ravioli was tender, bursting with crab, in the most delicious light cream chive sauce with rock shrimp. Caesar salad is solid. If you're a mushroom fan, get a side of the wild mushrooms, phenomenally seasoned. We were originally seated at a smaller table for two, our food order was large enough that a very kind manager moved us to a larger booth. The espresso martini flight was delightful for my mom. I enjoyed a restorative glass of Domaine Carneros sparking wine. Oh, and the warm crusty bread with herb olive oil is delicious. The last meal I ate before leaving a fun trip to Boston was at SAVR and I truly went out on a bang. The entire meal was phenomenal. Service was great and the drinks were too. I highly recommend trying SAVR and taking in the beautiful view of the water while doing so! Had a delightful dinner here tonight on the Eve of Christmas Eve at Seaport! Made reservations online for 8pm, got there and were seated immediately. Restaurant wasn't super crowded although there were quite a few people at the bar. We were seated by one of the windows with a nice harbor view. Felt very cozy and warm inside. Hubs ordered a Sam Adams seasonal. For appetizers we shared the Thai chicken meatball which came with a coconut green curry sauce, scallions and pea shoots. Five meatballs in this rich sauce, very tasty. Meatballs had a mild delicate flavor and the sauce was a great complement - really nice! For entrees I ordered the Tommy's branzino fillets which came with two decent sized fillets and baby veggies - carrots, zucchini, onions and some really small circular squash that was cut in halves - never seen that before. The fillets were tender cooked, mild flavor- I squeezed extra lemon on top. The veggies were delicious- crisp tender. Plus some potatoes. Overall it was a good portico and I like that it came with some carbs/ starch i.e. the potatoes because sometimes these fish dishes only come with veggies and I do need me some carbs lol! This was quite a good portion and some may have finished it, but I had a teeny bit leftover because I was getting full. Hubs got the signature burger which comes with lettuce onion tomato pickle and you can add 3 other toppings and he chose mushrooms, BSCP and American cheese. He also got a side of French fries which toy had to order separately as the burger does not come with fries. He enjoyed the burger very much. And the fries were quite tasty as I ate a few as well. Crisp on the outside soft on the inside well seasoned. Our waters were refilled adequately. Our server was friendly and efficient. A bit pricey but I guess it's the area and the upscale-ness of it. I enjoyed visiting Savr. The first thing we noticed pulling up to the restaurant is that the restaurant was a bit hidden because of construction, and unfortunately, there was no valet available. The valet at ocean prime wouldn't park valet for Savr, so we had to park further and walk. We came with a group of 6, and We were sat in a corner, which had enough space for everyone. The chairs were really big and sturdy, a bit hard to move, but very comfortable. Our server was cool, she was kind and pretty attentive. The drinks were pretty good. I was glad to see they had the Uncle Nearest old fashioned. The appetizers were pretty tasty. My favorite appetizers were the lamb kabobs and the pork belly. I wish the pork belly had more of that sauce! Everyone's entrees were also good. I loved the pork chop, and it was cooked to perfection. Only downside is that it was a small Pork chop for the price compared to other restaurants. My boyfriend thought his steak was a little too rare, but the mushrooms were fantastic. The restaurants and vibes were immaculate; dark, cozy, romantic (if on a date), great views and the menu had a wide variety of items for everyone's palate. We started with the Lobster Scallop Potsticker and loved them. They were a unique twist on a regular potsticker and it worked very well. Would definitely recommend. For an entree, I got the Sea Bass. It was to die for. Melted in your mouth. Perfectly seasoned. But at the low price of $58, not sure I would order it again. A bit pricey imo. All in all - the food and ambiance here is a 10/10. I look for something that I know will be good (thanks to Yelp), of course. But I save the places I think will be exceptional for nights out with my better half or friends. This place is located in the cut in the Seaport, it doesnt stand out as much compared to the other restaurants in the. I went there with a group and the first thing I noticed was the high quality seats which you can easily place your jacket on the arm rest. Impressed with apps; we huddled and decided on getting the seared pork belly, wagyu beef carpaccio, potstickers, and grilled lamb skewers. My personal favorite was the pork belly. Dinner: Slow Roasted Prime Rib, which I should of got medium instead of medium-rare. I had 3 pieces I couldnt finish. Finished it off with the golden martini as the nightcap. read more
