This past week, our work group was able to have some fun at Puzzle break. The attention to detail and the ambiance created in each room was absolutely amazing. The team at Puzzle Break is fantastic. They are high energy, wonderful at explaining the process, and great at supporting your team in the room. We walked out and went to dinner, and everyone was over the moon complimentary, and even said they could have stayed at Puzzle Break all day and night to do ALL the rooms! I came here a few days ago with some friends and we haven't stopped talking about our experience ever since! I've played over 10 rooms before and the seance one blew each and every one of them out of the water. The details, puzzles, and atmosphere are amazing. Plus, our host George did a fantastic job at explaining the game. He was probably the best (and friendliest) host I've had at one of these, as this room is significantly different than most rooms I've played, and he did a great job at explaining the premise and tips, and only gave us about 2-3 hints when we started going in the wrong direction. Plus, I LOVED that they go over the puzzles and tech at the end. Really added a nice touch. Cannot recommend this place enough. We've played two more in Seattle since then and neither of them compared (our mistake for trying other places). We'll be back for sure to play the second part while we're still in town! read more

Just did Escape the Lost Temple - so cool. Very well done and challenging the whole time without being frustrating. The staff managing the room was friendly and did a great job explaining the puzzles at the end of the hour which was particularly interesting to see how the room pulled together all the different pieces. Our overall experience was underwhelming. We booked the Egypt room for my birthday. Firstly, the reservation was at 6pm and they asked us to get there around 530 for orientation. When we arrived, they told us the room starts at 540 and it's starting whether we're ready or not. They were very unapologetic, and our hostess was outright condescending. I almost just left at that point, but the manager came in and made nice. So we decided to go ahead. Our hostess was dry and boring at the least, and bored and condescending at the worst. She definitely brought down the whole experience. I know that it may get boring watching idiots run around the room all day, but part of her job should be to help us have fun, not deliver clues in a barely audible eye roll attitude. We would have been happier if she had just left. Finally, the puzzle itself was dull. We did our best to make it fun, but it's obvious that the props have been well used. It could really use an update. I would call and try to get some of my money back if I thought I had any chance, but I imagine they have an air tight agreement that protects them from customers that simply didn't have a good time. I would NOT recommend this place. read more

This was the best escape room I've ever done. Very well put together. The clues were quite tough, and in a couple cases, I have no idea how anyone could ever figure it out without asking for a couple of hints, but nevertheless, our team prevailed with only 1:23 left on the clock. It was very professionally done, and from the moment you get signed in to the moment you escape (or don't), they really get you in the ambiance! read more

Fantastically fun! I reserved the Cursed Carnival for me and 9 friends and we had an absolute blast! We succeeded in lifting the curse, and afterwards the attendants (who were both charming and so helpful) showed us through all the puzzles so no one missed anything. It was amazing how creative and advanced the puzzles are, even after solving them all I was impressed seeing the mechanics. The attendants are in the room with you, which might sound awkward but they're absolutely unobtrusive and you only notice them when you need a cryptic hint. They step in to stop you from overanalyzing a piece of fuzz you found in the corner if it isn't going to lead anywhere. 10/10 of us are 100% intending to come back. read more

I loved Puzzle Break! This was my first escape room experience, and it was so much fun! George was our guide for the evening, and he gave us great tips and even helped us out when we were stuck too long on one puzzle. The space they've created is innovative and has an awesome vibe. Our family really enjoy escape rooms. We do one every summer vacation. On our vacation in Seattle we visited Puzzle Break. My first room escape experience was with Puzzle Break, doing their Midnight Carnival game. This game was a lot of fun, and the puzzles/games were well put together. The staff joined us in the room and gave us clues when needed, but still kept the game challenging. I will definitely be going back to do another game with Puzzle Break! read more

Great escape room experience. We have done two different rooms at Puzzle Break, and they never disappoint.

Our party of six, including 4 teens ages 16-18 had a BLAST this past weekend. Great space with great staff who offer just enough guidance to avoid frustration and keep you engaged. We did not get out, but if we had just 2 more minutes, we likely would have solved that final clue. We learned that our kids may be smarter than us :-). We will definitely be back! Also- a note to claustrophobes- you are not actually locked in the room and could get out via another door if you wanted to. Highly recommend! We did the Eventide Departure in Belltown. read more

We visited the Belltown location and the three of us took on one of the Escape Rooms (Eventide Departure). It was great - It was challenging but fair and working out the puzzles as a team was great fun. The staff was great and provided just enough of a nudge to get us unstuck without making us feel we were given a break. It helped us that two of our members were very into puzzles and that we all had done an escape room before. This was the best! read more

I organized a group of 10 for my wife's 30th birthday. No one in the group had done an escape room before and we split into 2 groups for the Eventide Departure. These puzzles are fun! It will surprise you how well you can do in a group of 5 average minds. I didn't expect to make it out but we did with 7 minutes to spare. I highly recommend this to anyone that has the slightest inclination. The puzzles are great as well as the décor of the rooms. No detail was overlooked. Thank you Puzzle Break! I loved this room! Great for experienced and new escape room puzzlers. Enjoyed the small group because you felt like you were part of the story, and not missing big chucks because the room was too big or there were so many puzzles that people had to split up to get them all done. There were only 1-2 combination locks; the rest involved creative thinking and doing. We didn't get out (maybe another 5 min), but with really good escape rooms you feel like you could have gotten it - we were on the very last puzzle - but not defeated. read more

Recently I did the Eventide Departure room escape at Puzzle Break in Belltown. I've done three puzzle rooms and this was my favorite. The rooms in this location are small - for 2-5 people - and that helps foster a collaborative atmosphere among the players. The room fully decorated for the story, which created a great immersive environment. The puzzles seemed to go from simple to hard in a steady progression, and we were able to feel ourselves progress. I loved the theme and its story. I look forward to going back again and trying a new room when they introduce a new theme! read more

Seven of us, ages 12 through 70, barely escaped the Lost Temple over winter break. Two had experienced an escape room before but the rest were uninitiated. When we entered the room we were impressed by the ambience and abundance of artifacts, but quite overwhelmed. Once we solved a few clues, however, we got the hang of it (especially the youngest) and our pace picked up. We learned quickly that nearly everything in the room was significant. Our Game Master Naomi was great! She nudged us in the right direction if we were way off track and gave us subtle clues when we asked. She also gave us an overview of the clues when our game was over and explained how different aspects of the puzzle were related and how some of the effects worked. This was really appreciated as not all of us were able to work on all the clues. It was a tremendous challenge, and we all had a terrific time! Can't wait to explore other rooms! read more

Probably the most consistent escape room venue I have been to (the Belltown location). I've played the seance game and their new "World's Fair" room and I cannot stress enough: Check out the new Seattle room!! The seance room was so much fun because it just naturally felt like the most expensively built game I have played and there was so much attention to detail (figurative and literally; *wink* pay close attention to the details*). It ties as my favorite room out of about 20, but the new World's Fair one is probably up at number 2/3. It has by far two of the coolest things I have ever seen in an escape room EVER. My biggest con is that the goal is not clear at all. HOWEVER, after a few minutes of playing the game it became clear as to why that is: This game pulls a really big twist as far as the plot goes and it was fun to see that happen. Special shoutout to Melanie, Jorge, and the creator for running the games. They were so helpful when needed and very positive; the perfect cherry on top of a great experience. Was lucky to see the creator on sight and see the type of person who comes up with these. keep them coming!! read more
