Dr. Parikh invested the time to come up with a treatment plan that aligned with my mom's insurance, to minimize her out of pocket costs while also minimizing disruption to her ability to easily use her teeth as these treatments happen over time. Both he and his wife (the other Dr. Parikh) are kind, caring providers, and it's clear their leadership in the practice carries over to everyone else, because everyone working there exhibits the same, thoughtful bedside manner. She makes you feel like she really cares about you and your teeth's health. She will use a skinny tool to measure your gum health. During the exam it was determined that I needed some work which was performed during the appointment. Upon completion, I was presented a bill that included a large co-pay ($192) and a large bill ($482) for the work done, but no deduction for the $49 coupon. My insurer claimed that I shouldn't have had to pay the co-pay and I should request an refund. The insurer said they would also be sending me a check to refund any money I paid in excess. For some reason, the insurer's accounting group mailed the check to the dentist instead of me. I contacted this dentist for a refund of my co-pay and also the money mistakenly sent to them by my insurer. I received a check for $74 and was told that was all I was going to receive. They didn't refund my co-pay. They didn't refund the $500 mistakenly sent them by the insurer. It's still unresolved. So, beware the $49 coupon... It's cost me a lot more than it saved me...

To give you a small understanding…read more- I'm the guy who 99% of the time doesn't like complaining and refrains from making any sort of scene in public. I try to be an understanding person when a service/food experience is just horrible to try not to get anyone fired. Somehow when I leave I'm able to look at the positives and I walk away just not going back to that location again. I'm going to change that today as I am now fed up completely. I initially called this dentistry on the recommendation of a friend. I called for Dr. Noorani and apparently he was booked for almost two months. I have a root canal that needs to be done and so I was obviously in tons of pain. They tried to have me go with another dentist at the office. Due to my horrible experience with bad dentists I did not want to take a chance and I told them to just give me Noorani's next available appointment. I waited just to get a call the day before that my appointment is cancelled. The office KNEW i was in pain and that I waited for this dentist yet I get a call almost two months later with them trying to throw the same dentist that I initially declined. I was extremely upset as I was in tons of pain but I gave it another chance (people make mistakes right?). The front desk lady said she would book me for a consultation appointment (with a different dentist a week and a half later) to just view it so they can prescribe me medication for pain control/antibiotics and then the Monday afterwards would give me my appointment with Noorani in the morning. The first Monday comes around for my consultation and I was still out of town for work, I call to let them know and ask them if they can just do the consultation on the same day (Noorani appointment) and ill get through the pain till then. She then tells me I never booked your appointment for next Monday. When I asked why she said "I wasn't sure if you wanted it". So you booked me for the consultation on Monday but didn't book the main appointment that I have been waiting for over 2 months (close to three now) with the busiest dentist in the world?! She then tells me my first appointment wasn't a consultation and Dr. Noorani was going to start the procedure... I had never been more confused in my life. I was completely silent over the phone and then she gives the final blow by saying that Dr. Noorani has also said he will only do the root canal if I let him also do the crown!!!?? This was something we spoke about the first day I called and they specifically knew I was going to another dentist for my crown and he is a dentist that doesn't have an issue with it. BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN he wants to do my crown which is very expensive almost $1000 over my primary dentist. By far my worst experience ever from a medical professional. You would hope that people in this field care about your medical needs and at-least stay true to their word. Calling a patient 2 months later the day before an appointment to cancel and making sudden ultimatums is completely unethical and to be frank upsetting. Man, I feel a little better now. All of a sudden every time I went to the dentist I had cavities, need crowns etc. My most recent trip they told me I had a cavity back on my molar that needs to be filled. I said to Dr Patel, that I just had that filled by Dr Kim on my prior visit. She insisted that it was different, but I remember it because I endured the pain to get it filled. Upon my return trip for the filling, Dr Patel stated it was 2 cavities needed to be filled?!! I was like all of a sudden it is 2 cavities when my estimate stated only 1. Dr Patel started drilling away and about 30 mins in she stopped drilling and said to me, I am doing my best but the cavity is in between my back molar and the adjacent tooth. She also stated it could possible need a root canal if the filling doesn't work. I said I came to fill 1 cavity that turned into 2 cavities and now you are saying possible a root canal ?? Then I rolled my tongue across the area and was SHOCKED to feel my molar bored out so much that was there any tooth left?? I asked her why she bored out, what felt like my whole tooth, so much of my tooth and she stated because of the cavity touching 2 teeth. Right then I knew this was the exact area where Dr. Kim tried to fill. I told her that Dr Kim must have done it wrong, because she is telling me the cavity was underneath the filling. Common sense tells you the cavity wasn't done right the first time. So she continued drilling and about 1 1/2 hours later I left with swollen lip,do to the assistant stretching my mouth so far, and a prognosis of a possible root canal if this filling doesn't work. A couple of months later I went to a different dentist, for my 2nd cleaning for the year,and he tells me that my tooth needs a root canal. Now facing a $3000.00 root canal when this new dentist looked at the tooth she told me she could not do a root canal because my tooth was FRACTURED and needed to be pulled!!! She stated the previous dentist took out so much of the tooth that it fractured and could not be saved. So they pulled my right molar. Now this is my steak chewing tooth and now I need a $5000.00 implant!!!!! If you value your teeth do NOT go to Hamilton Mill Dental Associates because they will nickel and dime you to death and possible fracture your teeth!!! I had a crown come out from them and they couldn't see me for three days to fix it and then told me you should never go this long to get a replacement....I said that y'all would not work me in. Again Crowns should NOT come off unless they were done incorrectly the first time!! Again another$1500.00!! BEWARE of this office!!!! Stay away!!! Or you will be returning every time you have a cleaning!!!!! Please take my advice!!!! Dr. Patel is too inexperienced to be drilling anything in your mouth and the associates push down so hard with suction that your inside of your mouth will get cut, bruised or torn.
