If I could give 0 stars, I would! Horrible service. Ignored for most of our dinner, and there was only one other guy in the whole place. The guy messed up both mine and my boyfriend's orders...which were salads. How the heck can you mess up two salads? They figured it out. My boyfriend just didn't want onions in it...looked like they just picked some of them out...and left a few still. Had to keep asking for more coffee and refills. Also there was a huge grub on the floor in the bathroom and the guy acted like he didn't believe me, because I kept having to repeat myself. When it came time to pay we ended up leaving a much better to than deserved, because the waiter was too busy on his phone in the back to come get his money. To top it off we are now both sick to our stomachs. They gave us bad food. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away! Also we left reviews on their Facebook page....and they deleted it. read more

Damn. I feel bad for all the folks that said this was the best whatever, whatever they'd every had from this place, because it really wasn't that good. The service was slow at 1PM and we had to track the waiter down to get our bill, so that was bothersome. But the chicken shawarma I got? Sin sabor. Flavorless. So I asked for some hot sauce to spice things up and what do I get? It looked like the salsa you get from Maria's down the street (this may have been a reminder that we should have gone there to eat better). When I'm at a middle eastern restaurant, I want a hot sauce to match, not New Mexican salsa. The pita bread was also pretty boring. I'd say I'm giving this place three stars only because I dislike bashing restaurants, especially the kind that are hard to come by in any particular city or town. But seriously, if the owners read this, please spice up your foods the way they should be and get on your waiters to be on their job. For your own sake. read more

Really not impressed. Finally decided to try Pyramid, partially swayed by the 4 star average on yelp. Definitely not worth 4 stars, 2 and a half, maybe. We showed up at 7pm on Saturday and there was only 1 other party in the place - already a bad sign. A few more parties came in over the next 45 minutes. The place was a bit dirty, the curtains up front looked nasty. There was an empty/used paper coke cup sitting on a shelf right next to the front entry. Just a bit of yuck feeling to the place. The food disapointment started when they didn't have the one dish on the menu my girlfriend wanted. The Greek salad was actually nice and fresh, with ample feta, but our mains were average at best, not bad, just not particularly good. Nothing that would make us want to go back. Experiment over, We will stick to Cleopatra. read more

My first visit to this quaint café was very positive. Tucked away in a shopping plaza, this small, friendly, comfortable café was just the perfect, relaxed spot to have a quiet lunch with a friend with good food and warm surroundings. I had the 'new' King B'astilla dish, which is chicken, almonds and sweet spices baked in a light fillo pastry. It was truly delicious and beautiful, besides. My friend enjoyed a large salad with gyro lamb, which was piled amply on top of the salad greens. Our waitress couldn't have been more friendly or more helpful. The prices were extremely reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the ample amount of food served. I'll be eager to come back for dinner to try some of their other middle-eastern dishes! read more

If you enjoy your food without snot and nose rubbing, do not go here. Johnny (apparently an employee for 7 years) tells us that he is non-contagious and has Neosporin on his nose and only a rash. Though he was constantly rubbing his nose and simultaneously putting our food in the bag. We called, and Johnny said the owners/managers were out of town for MONTHS and it was our PROBLEM, if we didn't like it. I asked for a refund, he refused. Fine, customers lost and food in the trash. TL;DR amazing food; amazingly poor service Just ate here for the first time and was blown away by the quality and flavor of the food. The tabouli was flavorful and pleasingly presented. The hummus was good, and the hot pita slices with it were seasoned and delicious even by themselves. I had the lamb burger, and it was moist and delicious, with a startlingly tasty mustard sauce that complemented it perfectly. The Greek salad was well dressed with just enough tang to keep it interesting. The final touch was a delicious pungent section of baklava drizzled with chocolate syrup. Absolutely wonderful, and spiced a little more heavily than I am used to. In a good way, obviously. On the other hand it took forever to get our food, the server couldn't remember who had what, and some of our party had the wrong orders taken. And the length of service time meant our fries were cold. But don't let that stop you! Plan on a long but delicious time at this restaurant. read more

I went to this place yesterday for the first time. I was absolutely impressed with the meal. We ordered inside then waited in our car. The service was great and the meal came fast and hot! The gentleman working even brought it straight to our car. We decided to eat on the patio. When we opened the food, steam and a wonderful smell came from the boxes. The French fries were homemade and delicious, 3.50 for a big box... that's a deal! Our main entree was the homemade moussaka and it was surprisingly mind blowing. We also got the build your own app. W hummus, tabouleh and, salata mishya served w fresh and hot pita bread. Amazing. We were expecting it to be good but we had no idea what a great meal we were in for. My boyfriend actually had to enter back into the restaurant to let the employees know how much we loved it. After 3 years of not eating at pyramid due to a bad experience, I decide to give it another try. I went in yesterday and ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat.. The salad was really good and the meat was grilled very nicely and had great flavor. I also ordered some humus and pita and it was yum as well. This visit was a good one.. Excellent little cafe that fills the bill when seeking Mediterranean while in Santa Fe. It's nice and clean with white table cloths and little booths. Tabbouleh and hummus and pita were excellent. Lentil soup excellent. Souvlaki was right on. The piped in jazz music was a nice add. read more

Good mid-eastern food. Clean little place, good for grab a quick lunch. Price is reasonable and I do recommend Lamb Tagine.

This would have been four stars if not for all the flies. The front door opens into a room with two-person tables and the cash register. Off to the side is a larger room with four-person tables and space at the front for entertainment. The night we visited, there were belly dancers performing to live Mediterranean music. The kids had mini-pizzas and freshly made potato chips(!). My wife had the Pyramid Chicken Plate (Grilled Chicken breasts on basmati rice topped with Tzatziki sauce and a Greek salad and pita bread). She liked it but said the portions were larger than necessary. I had the Brik a Loeuf Supreme (Tunisian turnover stuffed with creamy mashed potatoes, egg parsley and capers, topped with Merguez sausage and served with Greek salad). I devoured it. Now, about the flies. There must have been three or four of them buzzing around our table. Don't get me wrong, I am all for authenticity, and for all I know those flies were the genuine deal imported from Cairo at great expense. Still, sometimes you need to sacrifice authenticity in favor of local conventions. Despite the flies, I would eat here again. read more

This is my go-to for Mediterranean food and/ but they had a Valentine's Day special that puts the most famous Santa Fe high end restaurants to shame. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked. The steak was a perfect medium rare and the asparagus so tender and plentiful. The mashed potatoes were from real potatoes and expertly seasoned. Plus there was their great salad and pita. And, the carry-out containers are recyclable. I hope they have more specials! read more

Fresh, fast friendly service, and incredibly affordable. The falafel is the best. It's crisp on the outside and soft in the center, not dry and flavorless like the way some other places make it. The Greek salads are so yummy especially with the lamb. My grandmother loves the Moussaka. I do hope they bring the calamari back to the menu. Pyramid cafe is a hidden gem and a local faviorite. We've been coming here for years, and we had such a wonderful experience today, and I overheard other patrons talking about how much they were enjoying their meal too. read more

Excellent restaurant nestled in a plaza right off Cordova. Stopped to grab some lunch before heading to the nail salon and was blown away! Service is excellent, restaurant is clean, and the dining area has a lovely ambiance. North African, Mediterranean, and Greek menu has variety without being overwhelming. While attending the Hypnotherapy Academy of America, I was introduced to the Pyramid Cafe. This is where most of the students go... most of the time! The food is GREAT! Nice portions, varied menu, fantastic prices. The staff is very polite, and helpful. Orders are served in a timely manner--so it's great if you are "on lunch by the clock". The Pyramid is conveniently located to ANY type of shopping you may have in mind. They also have FREE Wi-Fi both indoors and out... perfect for catching up during lunch. I don't know if they still do... but, on Thursday nights they did have live Belly Dancers .... and "open floor" for any 'aspiring/armature Belly Dancers' to join in. It's great fun !! When I DO make it back to Santa Fe... "the Pyramid" will be one of the FIRST places I go !! read more

I'm always surprised at the great reviews this place gets time and time again. I hadn't been to the Pyramid Cafe in over 10 years but recently went back to give it a try. First of all, there was a drunk (and possibly homeless) guy sitting in the dining room during lunch. He was loud and interruptive to the 1 of 2 tables that were occupied by guests. The poor couple was trying to be polite and would smile as he kept interrupting. The management or waitstaff should have asked him to leave. Secondly, I'll mention that I love Mediterranean/Greek food. I used to live in the Mediterranean and the food is amazing. The food I ordered that day from the Pyramid was not good. I was bummed because I really wanted the food to be tasty, fresh, and flavorful. Especially since I live very close to the Pyramid Cafe and would love to find another close and tasty eatery. The Pyramid Cafe, even after a 10-year hiatus, remains lackluster. As tired and drab as it's interior decor. read more

I went here today and the staff was helpful, but the food was lacking from what I'm used to in San Francisco. For one, the dolmas were pretty OK, but for some reason the Pyramid thinks it's OK to cover them with parsley and a bunch of "flair" that I think should have been avoided. And a veggie sandwich falafel on a pita bread, however "fluffy" simply doesn't compare to a much more desireable falafel "wrap" in flat bread... My $8 meal came out to be almost $14 dollars and included french fries that I really didn't want or order. But then again, this is Santa Fe, where people don't know REAL mediteranean food, so I'm bumping the star status up a notch for simply not knowing how to prepare good food. read more

The food at this place is wonderful. We had the lamb salad, the lamb tagine and the chicken tagine. We tried both of the soups (the avgolemono was pretty good, the lamb stew was delish) and the greek salad (yum.) Friendly waiter. And a good beer. Driving through during a road trip and we were very satisfied with their service and the food was great. Keep in mind there were seven of us together: two adults, two teens, one tween, and two elementary aged kiddos. It's hard to all agree and make everyone happy but this restaurant did it. Everyone ate all their food and even shared amongst each other so we could all have a taste. Service was on point. We always had our glasses with drinks and the pita bread kept on coming.
