They have a huge box of fireworks that they are raffling off if u spend 100 dollars. So make sure u drop over a bill to get ur name in the raffle. I aint gonna lie it gets over whelming trying to decide what u gonna buy cuz they have stuff that ive never seen before. They have a tv with a scanner that they let u scan a fireworks and it shows u what ur buying. I would come back next year the sales people werent pushy at all but they were helpful.

Fourth of July…read more.. We've been coming to the spark for the Fourth of July fireworks near 20 years now. They always have some fun and festivities in the park during the day. Usually live music, or broadcast radio station from inside the park. We back up to the main road, get out our chairs, and wait for sundown. Our routine usually includes making some fried chicken and potato salad and going to the lake or the river. Spend a few hours there and then head to Fernley. It is absolutely one of the best firework shows around. Not sure if it's just a holiday, but we always meet people in make friends while we wait for the show. I see they have other events here through the year, but definitely if you have not tried, come watch the fireworks on Fourth of July.

Mosquitoes were hatching. This time of the year the water was high.... Fallon side had clean beaches, plenty of trash receptacles and clean restrooms. You can camp on the beaches or in the developed areas. Boat ramps are available or you can launch off of the beach. Beware of the sand!! Make sure you bring plenty of water and ice. No close stores.

Water levels are lower than I remember, but it was nice to take a trip down memory lane. Every Summer, my parents drove their RV and I watched from the top bunk. My brothers and I could never stay in our seats. My parents never knew what we were up to. We always booked the same block of camping sites and we invited three other family's every year. The old tires swings on the cottonwood trees were always a hit with us kids and staying up late catching June bugs, telling scary stories around a campfire and roasting marshmallows for smores. It was cool showing my kids where my parents brought us camping.

Historical town. Sadly, I will miss the camel and ostrich races, see pictures. Also, I miss the motorcycle rodeo. Known for their tours - Ghosts, underground, mine, railroad, historic, trolley, etc! Parades - Approximately 8 a year; see their website. During the off season, there are plenty of free street parking, or $10 private lot parking. During peak season, you will have to park further and walk. Service - Good, caters to tourists. Price - Reasonable prices, especially for a tourist destination. Lastly we ended at a mine tour which was cool and educational. On our way out of the city, and "local" drove by us in her blue mini cooper with the licensed plate with the name cooper in it. As she drove by with her window down, she put up her middle finger and flipped up off. We thought everyone in this town was super nice but the last must had been pissed. Overall we laughed at her but others beware lol.

First visit to Greater Nevada Field and wow, what an amazing experience! Came early and left after…read morefireworks, and the parking and traffic in and out were trouble-free. Great traffic control and good stadium layout. The stadium was large, but not too large, with great views, lots of different concessions, and fun shopping (Archie was in the team shop!)--all without massive crowds. And even though it had rained earlier, the seats were completely dry. As an added bonus, the bathroom was also nicer than I expected, with an attendant keeping everything super clean. Maybe because there were so many specialty options, the basic hotdogs here weren't quite as good as other places I've tried. And the Beloved's pretzel was good but the cheese dip was bland and too thin for it, although service was quick and efficient. Next time I'll try a brat or chorizo. Lines were very manageable. Best of all, strong hitters and great pitching led to an Aces victory in a very satisfying, fun-filled game against the River Cats (9 hits means a free Blaze pizza...don't forget to take a pic of the promo code)! Capped off by some really amazing fireworks, this was definitely a fun evening out that needs to be put on repeat!

What a Blast at the Reno Aces!…read more We were invited by some friends to go to a Reno Aces game, and what a blast we had! They had extra tickets, and we ended up with Floor 1 seats right behind home plate--talk about the best seats in the house! It was Family Day, so the hot dogs were only $1.50, and they were hot, fresh, and so good! The Aces were playing the El Paso Chihuahuas, and even though the Aces didn't get the win, it was still such a fun and exciting game. Where we were sitting, we were blessed to have Richard & Kathie, our wonderful hosts in our seating section. Richard was also working the area, keeping an eye on where the foul balls were landing and making sure everyone was having a great time. Throughout the game, there were always team members getting up on different stages during the little breaks, encouraging the crowd to cheer, sing, and dance. At one point, they played the Electric Slide, and of course, I had to get up and join in! Richard came over and danced the Electric Slide with me, and then he surprised me by giving me a game ball! What a special and unexpected moment! The crowd was cheering, and it made the whole experience even more memorable. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect--the energy, the crowd, the music, and all the fun between innings made for such a wonderful evening. We can't wait to go back to another Reno Aces game! It's definitely an experience we'll remember!
